Wanted You More

Bethany is top in her class, head-strong, and basically you're definition of a perfect girl but she has no intention of trying to be like every other girl and try to get Harry, the popular, good looking, soccer star, to like her...in fact, she doesn't really like him. But when Bethany is assigned to help Harry get his grades up and he realizes that Bethany is different than everyone else, will Bethany cave into giving Harry a chance or will she continue to stick to her idea that he is a spoiled, stuck up ass?

Includes sex, drugs, alcohol, self harm references/actions, and cursing.

29. I'm Nothing

When I got to school the next day, I looked like a mess. I had over slept because I was up late thinking about Bethany and our kiss from last night. I still felt my lips tingling from the feeling and no matter how hard I tried, it didn’t go away.

When I rounded the corner, I knew Bethany’s locker was around here. I wanted…needed to talk to her about yesterday. There was no way I would be able to let this go- I had to tell her how I felt. However, when I saw her…I knew I wouldn’t be able to. Liam’s mouth was up to her ear and she was giggling and biting her lip. When Liam stood upright, he looked at me and waved. Bethany turned and saw me standing there. I slowly walked up, knowing there was no way out of this.

“Hey Harry.” Liam said.

“Hey guys.” I mumbled.

“You look thrilled to be here.” Bethany said quietly.

“I didn’t sleep well.”

“I can tell since you never changed out of your pajamas.” Bethany pointed down at my plaid pants and I shrugged.

“Yeah, happens.” I said. The bell rung and I took that as my cue to leave. “I should get to class.” I said, quickly walking away. I know that’s very unlike me, but I just couldn’t be near them any longer.

That was weird…Harry has never rushed off to class like that before. I shook it off and said goodbye to Liam before making my way to class. When I walked in, there was an empty seat by Harry. I hesitated, but finally decided to go sit next to him, much to his surprise.

“Hey Styles.” I said, smiling.

“Hi.” I raised my eyebrow at the coldness in his voice.

“What’s wrong?”

“Does it look like any of your business?” Harry snapped. I looked away and shook my head.

“No. Sorry I even asked.” I heard Harry sigh quietly but I didn’t even bother to acknowledge it. First he kisses me, than he treats me like I’m nothing. I felt a pang of hurt in my heart. I didn’t want to admit it, but Harry was growing on me…even though I didn’t want him to. I pushed the feeling away and paid extra attention to the lesson so I could get my mind off Harry.
