4. Tanning & Water Slides

The girls and I have just finished getting all of our things situated in our rooms. Everything was now in their respective places. We were all ready to go out and have some fun since we were finally here in the Bahamas.

“Ladies, what do you say we go have a little fun in the sun?!” Addison pipes up as we are all sitting around her room she was sharing with Chelsea and Alexis.

Liz and I were sharing a room together, which was right next to Chelsea, Alexis and Addie’s room. In their room, they got two rooms in one, because of her father, which was pretty awesome if I’d say so myself. That would be awesome if my parents could do that, let alone my dad.

The girls and I go and change in to our

swim suits. Mine was a blue polka dot bandeau top and matching bottoms that tied on the sides. We all meet back up in Addie, Alexis and Chelsea’s room, which was next to mine and Elizabeth’s room.

Elizabeth wore a white bikini with navy blue birds on it from Hollister. Addison wore a sky blue striped bikini and Alexis’ was the same just a different color, a maraschino cherry red. Chelsea had on a pale yellow swimsuit with a bandeau top and string bottoms. Each of us were wearing shorts and a tank top over our suits. We were all ready to have some fun in the sun, it was going to be great, I knew it. All of our things were together that we were taking with us; towels, sun screen, an umbrella for some shade, and sunglasses.

“Let’s get going, girls!” Elizabeth says as we stand near the main door in the girls’ suite.

“We shall!” we all mutter in unison as we grab each of our room keys and head out the door and begin down the hall way to the elevator. The big door of Alexis, Chelsea and Addison’s room slams shut a bit loudly as we make our way down the long semi-narrow hall way to the elevator to take us to the lobby so we could head off to the beach. I hoist my bag higher up on my shoulder as we come closer to the elevator. We step inside and press the button to take us down to the lobby. The girls and I talk amongst ourselves while we feel the elevator begin to move to the floor below ours. Soon, it arrives at the lobby and chimes as the doors slide open.

Once it comes to a stop, the girls and I step on to the tile floor of the lobby, our flip flops slapping loudly against the hard floor as we walked. The walk to the beach didn’t take long at all. It was great we were staying at the Atlantis resort that was right next to the beach.

This weather was just perfect, I was ready to soak up the sun and lay out on the sand with my favorite people, the girls I am so proud to call my best friends. We all excitedly slip our feet out of our flip flops once we get to the sand. I let out a content sigh as I feel the sand go in between my toes.

It takes a while but we finally find a spot in the sand to lay our towels out and begin to get some sun. I lay mine out next to Addison with Elizabeth on my other side. Chelsea and Alexis were off to the side next to Elizabeth. After each of us lay it out, we put on a tad bit of sun screen before we lay out on each of our towels.

A few minutes later, I sit up and reach over to my bag so I could grab my sunglasses. I couldn’t help but glance further down on the sand and notice some really good looking young guys about my age. There was one that stood out to me; he had tan flawless-looking skin and piercing brown eyes and an adorable yet sexy smile. I could even spot out tattoos along his bare arms that were exposed. He was gorgeous with a dark head of hair and a beautiful yet mysterious pair of eyes. He was with a group of guys; I’m guessing had to be his friends.

All of his tattoos that were visible made me think of the ones I had. When I turned eighteen, I got my tattoos. One of them is the infinity sign that was on my right wrist, the one on my left hip with the words be free in script with angel wings above it all in white ink and a cross on my left shoulder blade.

I can’t help but stare at him. He was gorgeous, there was something drawing him to me, I just have no idea what it could be. As I glance over at him, I can’t help but notice him staring back at me, a small smile on his face, like he was attracted to me. Truth is, I really wanted to get to know more about him. I couldn’t help but wonder when I will see him again.

Liam and I were going to go down one of the many water slides they have. It was going to be fun. One of the things I’ve been waiting for still hasn’t came true yet, but I’m sure it will soon. There have been a bunch of pretty girls I’ve seen since we’ve arrived, but none of them have stood out to me. We wanted to go have some fun. Waterslides were always so fun, especially being where we are now.

Liam and I, clad in nothing but swim trunks that were hanging low on our hips, head up the stairs that led up to the slides. There was about close to thirty steps, it was quite a climb to get up here, but it will be worth it. Before we know it, Liam and I finally make it up to the top. I take in a steady breath as I stare down at the resort that was below us.

“You’re on, Li. First one down buys each of us a few drinks tonight. What do you say?” I tell the older boy who stood next to me with a smirk.

He gives me a nod in response, “It’s on, Haz. You’ve got a deal, first one down buys the drinks!” Liam says as we seat ourselves in the semi-warm water on the slide.

We wait for the button to turn green which signaled we could go down the slide. It soon turns a bright green. Right away, Liam and I both let go of the silver handles on the side to hold on before we are sent down the tube. I let out what sounded like a battle-cry as I go down the slide in a fast manner. Before I know it, I am sent out of the slide in to a pool where Liam was.

“What are you looking at, mate?” I ask as I look at my best friend who stared off in front of him, which was behind me.

Liam points his finger at what he was looking at. I follow his finger to whatever he was looking at. My eyes go wide at the sight before me, my mouth slightly ajar as well. Whoever that girl is, with that striking figure walking with her friend, I wanted to get to know her better – the blond one in the pale yellow string bikini that was hanging dangerously low on her hips.

“Wow,” was all that came out of my parted lips as I stared at her in awe.

She was beautiful, her long blond hair flowing behind her as she walked with her friend. I couldn’t even help but notice the tattoo that was on her lower back, of the word free with a a feather connected to the word which was in elegant script. There was also one on her right shoulder blade of an anchor. On her side, I couldn’t help but notice one that was in small lettering. Lastly, I spotted one of many birds that were placed on her shoulder.

All I knew was that I wanted to get to know her. That’s all I wanted, as I stared at her while her and her friend walked by, I couldn’t help but avert my eyes away from hers. She had shimmering blue eyes and a cute smile upon her lips as she looked back at me. I wanted to get to know her better. Maybe I’ll see her around again, I hope. Something is bound to happen since we’ll be here all summer and I’m sure I’ll run in to her again, I have a feeling I will.

For the rest of the day and in to the evening, I couldn’t help but think of that girl, the blond one who Liam spotted after we came down the slide. I wanted to know what her name was, and more importantly, I wanted to know more about her. She was all I could think about. The guys thought I was crazy. Zayn was in the same predicament with me, because he said he spotted a girl on the beach that he couldn’t keep his eyes off of. He said she was the most gorgeous girl he’d ever seen.

“Zayn, wouldn’t sh-” I spoke up and soon caught myself. “Sorry,” I say quickly and stare at the floor in our hotel room. That is when I remembered he and Perrie had gone through a really tough break up almost three months ago. She ended it since her and the girls from her band Little Mix were slowly getting bigger and rising in fame, just like we were.

“Its fine mate, don’t worry about it, I’m ready to move on, I’m glad we have the entire summer to ourselves here. That girl I spotted down at the beach was beautiful, prettiest I’ve ever seen, I hope I see her again,” he says as he grabs my shoulder forcefully and pushes me back on the couch I was sitting on.

He collapses on the chair he was sitting in and puts his hands behind his head as he shuts his eyes. The guys and I were sitting in our room relaxing from the long day we had at the beach, well Zayn and I were. I had no clue where Liam, Louis or Niall was, probably finding food in Niall’s case like always. I swear, that boy can’t ever go without food for a long length of time. As I shut my eyes, images of that girl I saw earlier flooded my mind. She was all I could think about as I drifted off to sleep on this couch that was too comfortable for its own good.
