Murder case.

Martha Shaw is the best person to have on the case.
Eight murders and counting. All by the same person.
At the same time every single day.
Martha only has a short time before the murdered kills again, and it could be her that it's after.

2. The case

Laura stretched and started to tell Martha about the crime.

" Well, yesterday at one, there was a call to the police about a murder, a lady called Isla Green had phoned saying she heard screaming coming from her neighbour's house. When the investigators arrived at the scene, there was a body. The murderer had managed to get away, leaving very little evidence, not even a fingerprint or any weapons," Laura shuffled through some papers. " The victim was Miss. Westwood, born in Edinburgh, moved to London three years ago. She was twenty- three, brown hair, blue eyes, small..."

Martha took a sharp breath.

" You know her?" asked Nick.

" Barely, she was my sister's hairdresser.." Martha explained. " Nice girl."

Laura continued speaking. " Detective P. Ross had only managed to find one thing, a piece of paper taped to the victim's body," she held up a plastic bag with a sheet of paper inside.

The paper read:

Dear whoever it may concern,

Everyday, one o'clock.

Be ready for the killing spree of 2013.

" So, what I'm hearing, is this murderer, is killing one person everyday at one o'clock?" Martha asked.

" Yes, that's how it sounds," Nick replied.

" Why?"

Nick breathed heavilly. " If I knew that, I would've already caught the murderer, had him imprisoned for life and maybe even had him in death row if the law  would let me, but sadly, I don't."

Martha looked the detective up and down. He didn't really look like a detective, he sounded like one, but he didnt look like one. He was about medium height, with dark hair and blue eyes. He had defined cheek bones, but his eyes drooped underneath, as if many sleepless nights. He was sort- of good looking, not stunning, not bad though. Martha had noticed this as soon as she walked into the office that morning.

" Laura, could you get detective Ross on the phone?" Martha asked.

" I could get you one better, he's upstairs," Laura replied.
