Murder case.

Martha Shaw is the best person to have on the case.
Eight murders and counting. All by the same person.
At the same time every single day.
Martha only has a short time before the murdered kills again, and it could be her that it's after.

5. Miss. Isla Green

Isla Green leaned against a desk, breathing in a big breathe.

" I was at home, just watching some old re-run of my favourite programme, when I heard screaming coming from Lisa's house.." Isla started.

" Lisa?" asked Nick.

" Yes, Lisa Westwood. Anyway, I heard screaming coming from her house and I looked out the door to see if I could see anything, but I couldn't, so I phoned the police. Now that I heard what happened... I just can't believe it..."

Laura and Nick looked towards each other and nodded.

" Isla, do you know anyone that would want to hurt Miss. Westwood? Maybe an ex husband or someone she had annoyed?" breathed Nick.

Isla sniffed up her tears. " No, no one I can think of. Lisa was a generally nice person, I don't see how someone could want to hurt her, she was such an amazing girl..."

Martha studied the girl carefully. Her face was even more red. She didn't seem like a nice person, but you can't judge a book by its cover. Isla was wearing a blue denim jeans, a white strappy top and a long, knitted cardigan. Martha thought she looked a bit strange, but she didn't know why.

Of course she couldn't say who was strange and who wasn't, she was just a detective who turned all her problems to alcohol. Brown hair, blue eyes. But Isla did look quite strange, not at all like she wanted to help the case.

" Isla, can you think of any reason someone would kill Lisa? A murderer wouldn't just kill a random person, would they?" Nick asked the terrified girl.

" Not really, people do strange things, that is what our world has come to. We just live in a strange, wild world," she said.

That was a weird thing to say.

" Miss. Green, it might come out as rude, but would you happen to have anything to do with this murder?" Martha asked.

" Me? No! Of course not! How dare you accuse me of killing someone! I did no such thing. Just because you may have some issues with having to deal with people being murdered everyday, does not mean I do! We live in a strange world, I have already said! But I would never murder someone! Stupid woman," Isla shouted.

" Now, that was uncalled for."

A voice came from the door. Martha noticed the British accent straight away.

" Detective Ross," started Laura.

Martha saw the glint of happiness in her eyes.

" Hello, Laura. But yes, as I was saying, that was very uncalled for, miss....?" said Paul.

" Miss. Green, but please, call me Isla."

Isla had completley changed from an imotional wreck, to a little girl agian, all over Paul.

" Well, Miss. Green, if I were you, I wouldn't be saying things like that to such a good detective. We do decide who goes to jail remember," Paul laughed.
