When The Concert Ticket Became A Beautiful Memory

A 17 year old version of me is in love with Black Veil Brides. Her experience is told below.

Note: I do not own Black Veil Brides, Baskin Robins, or the First Midwest Bank Ampitheatre. I'm lucky I can afford a pack of gum, let alone big names like them.

8. $7.99 Burger Meal

They order 20 minutes before my shift ends. Andy sits with an empty seat next to him. I rather sit there than listen to this chubby boy with his equally as large mother argue over dinner specials.

At eight, I clock out and sit with the man who remembered my name.

"How was tour?"

Ashley tells me about this one guy who wrote him a 50 page fanfiction. "Parts of it were disturbing," he says.

CC talks about his new girlfriend. He smirks at us. "I think Andy has one too."

I look over to Andy, who's now the one gazing at me. I must look horrible; my makeup is fading, my hair is in a sloppy ponytail. I have dried ketchup on my jeans from when a parent let their little kid play with a bottle of ketchup. Yet, he's staring at e like I'm an angel.

"You look healthier," Andy whispers in my ear. His voice sends shivers down my spine. "Thanks for eating."

I show him my arm. The scars that are still visible are a light pink. "I haven't since the concert," I turn to look him directly in the eyes, but end up gazing at his lips. "Healthier just means fatter."

"No, healthier means more beautiful." Andy leans towards me and softly kisses my lips.

They taste of a $7.99 burger meal, mixed with perfection.
