6. What's Wrong?

~Haneul's POV~

At the end of the day, I waited until the classroom was empty before leaving. Oppa always warned me that if I looked weak, people would take advantage of me. Obviously, the condition I'm in wasn't helping either.

I stood up from my seat and I was immediately light-headed. Oppa has hurt me really bad before, but sometimes it's worse. I don't know what he does, but he makes me feel like I'm going to die.

I managed to get out of the classroom, clutching my stomach, but not drawing too much attention. Some people stared, but didn't confront me. As much as I wanted someone to help, I didn't want these people to. They scare me. I saw how mean they were. I couldn't even imagine what they would do to me if they had the chance.

~Siwoo's POV~

I ran down the hallway, trying to get away from them. I still need to find a way to get them their money. Ray and I have nothing and it's all my fault.

I hid inside the janitor's closet and locked the door. They knew I was in there and tried breaking the door. Luckily, they didn't. They gave up and I heard them leave.

When I left the closet, I saw Haneul limping down the hallway. She looked like she was in extreme amounts of pain.

"A-are you okay?" I stuttered and tried to help her.

"Don't touch me," she mumbled quietly and weakly pushed me away. She continued walking, or limping, I should say. She wobbled a little like she was about to pass out. And she did.

Before she hit the ground, I caught her and gently laid her down.

"What do I do?" I asked myself. I shook her a bit, hoping to wake her up. "Come on. Wake up."

'Where's Ray when you need him?'

Just as I thought that, I was saved by a familiar voice.

"Siwoo, what are you doing?" Ray wondered. Then he saw the unconcious girl lying on the floor. "What happened?"

"I don't know. She just passed out," I answered.

"Let's get her to the nurse," Ray suggested.

He looked at me thinking I would pick her up. I backed up and shook my head. Ray picked her up and we headed to the nurse.

"Do you know her name?" Ray asked.

"Haneul," I answered.

"Is she your friend?"

"Did you at least try to be friends with her?" Ray sighed.

"Yes, but she doesn't like me."

"And how do you know for sure?"

"She ignores me like everyone else and when I tried to help her, she pushed me away."

"Maybe she's just shy like you."

"Yeah right..."

I looked at her and she stirred around a bit. I noticed a bruise on her shoulder peeking out from under her shirt. When I went to touch it, her eyes shot open.

"W-what are you doing?" She asked. She tried to get out of Ray's arms, but he wouldn't put her down.

"It's okay. We're just taking you to the nurse," Ray assured.

"I'm fine. Put me down," she insisted and strugged more.

"You're not fine. If you were, you wouldn't have passed out."

She didn't say anything, but she kept trying to get down.

"Just put her down, Ray," I insisted.

"Why? She's hurt. We have to get her to the nurse," he protested.

"I can take care of myself," she said quietly and wiggled out of Ray's grasp. Ray tried to grab her again, but I held him back.

"Let her go," I said. She ran away, but not very fast, since she was hurt.

~Haneul's POV~

When I got home, I braced myself for what was going to happen. I was late. I'm never late, except once when I forgot something at the store and went back to get it. Oppa wasn't very happy with that.

I walked through the door and saw Oppa asleep on the couch. I crept past him, trying not to wake him. The stairs creaked when I took a step. I held my breath and watched him as he stirred around.

I let out a sigh of relief when he stopped moving. He was always a heavy sleeper, anyways.
