Curly (A One Direction Fan Fic)

A normal day on the slopes turns into a not so normal day when Bryn skis with a perfect stranger. And who does it turn out to be? A member of One Direction? And what happens when she has feelings she can't ignore...

2. Shock

His voice rung in my ears. It was familiar but without a face I couldn't place it. His voice again called out interrupting my thoughts. "Sorry again, love."

"It's alright. No harm done." I just wanted to run my fingers through his curly hair. "Shall we keep going?"

"Sure," he eagerly replied. We made it another bit down the slope but it became steep again. My ski pole got stuck under my ski, causing me to tumble forward and pop my ski off at the same time. I tried to get up but there was a burning pain in my wrist. It was immobile and the pain it took to turn it was unbearable. He again skied up next to me, gathering my other ski, my two poles, and helped me up with my good wrist. "Are you ok? Do you need to go to first aid?" Although I couldn't see the expression on his face, there was a worried expression shown through his voice.

Even though this guy was still almost a stranger, I knew I needed some help and I didn't have any relatives skiing with me, not to mention I could barely get down this hill alone. So, I reluctantly replied yes and we slowly made our way down the slope, his right hand keeping me steady.

*Inside the Lodge*

We finally reached first aid after a long trek down the mountain. Something dawned on me, I had never caught my helper's name. I turned to look at him as he pulled his hat, googles and ski mask off. "I never caught your name." But as soon as his ski attire was all off his face, I already knew it, and answered for him. "Harry, Harry Styles."

I was in momentary shock, but quickly snapped out of it. I balled my hand into a fist and punched his arm as hard as I could. "You jerk! You never told me you were Harry Styles!!" I wasn't quite sure if I was actually mad at him or not.

He chuckled. "That didn't hurt you know. And I'm sorry, I realize I didn't tell you because, well, I just wanted to have fun with a girl without her liking me because I'm Harry Styles..." He trailed off looking at his skis.

Realization hit me and I understood. "Ya, I guess I can get that. It must be kind of hard to have to wonder all the time if girls like you because you're famous or actually for you, and your looks." I put my hand over my mouth. That last part was accidental and I knew he wouldn't let that slip by.

"Oh, so you think I have looks, eh?" He looked at me again with a smirk plastered over his entire face.

I punched him again but it was playful this time. "Maybe," I replied, popping the b. "It is kind of undeniable. You've got the hair, the sparkling eyes, the skin, the lips..." Oops, I did it again. I mentally face palmed myself.

I sneaked a peek at his face looking for the adorable smirk of his but it wasn't to be found. Instead, a contemplative look had replaced it. "Would you like to have dinner with me tonight at the lodge?" His face was uncertain and I couldn't turn it down.

"I would love to, Harry. That would make my day." I genuinely smiled as warmth crept up my body tingling in my fingers.

"Alright." He clapped his hands together. "We still need to get attention for your arm."

Dinner At the Lodge-Harry's P.O.V.

She wasn't here yet so I had time to think through my thoughts. How did I feel about this girl? She made my palms go sweaty, made me stutter out words, made me unsure of myself... This hadn't really ever happened to me before. Normally I was the one in control and the ladies would all fall for me. But Bryn was different, hard to pinpoint exactly. But I wanted her to like me, I knew that. It was definite that I had feelings for her but how should I show that without being too forward?

I glanced at the door to the lodge again in time to see her walk through. She was dressed in a tight pencil skirt and a flowy shirt with the design of blooming flowers. She also sported navy blue heels that brought out the color in her eyes. I jumped up from the table to greet her. "Hi, you look amazing tonight."

"Thanks, you don't look too bad yourself." She laughed and sat down. "So what should I get... hmm."

We ordered which left us to talking. I leaned over the table and put my hands in front of me. "So, Bryn. Tell me about yourself. What do you like to do?"

Bryn's P.O.V.

The more the night wore on and I talked with Harry, the deeper my feelings grew for him. But it was silly, I had doubts about liking Harry. He was in one of the most popular bands in the world and I was just a girl he met skiing. But I had an inkling of hope mixed with belief that he might actually like me back. He seemed to be enjoying himself and I didn't want the night to end.

But, all good things must come to an end as the dinner did. I snuck a peak at his lips, they looked so kissable. But I didn't make a move. He offered to drive me back to my hotel because I took the bus to get here. Next thing you know we were standing outside my opened hotel door. I turned around. "Thanks for the great night Harry. I had a wonderful time." There weren't words to describe it. I had never had a boyfriend before and so I'd never been on a formal date before.

"Your welcome, love. I would like to do it again, maybe tomorrow night? Or we could have a round of skiing tomorrow, as long as your wrist is feeling better."

He asked me out again, I couldn't believe it. I mentally high fived myself. Yeehah! I kept a calm composure but couldn't keep the smile off my face. "I would absolutely love that, Harry. You already have my phone number so why don't you text me the details or something."

"Sounds good," he replied. "Good night." He began to turn around as did I. I couldn't let it go like this though, I wanted a kiss at least on the cheek. I wanted to feel his lips. "Harry," I started, turning around, only to be silenced by a pair of luscious lips, now planted on mine. Our lips moved in sync. It felt wonderful, incredible, magical I couldn't describe it. The kiss heated up, starting from a simple kiss to a passionate one.

Harry pulled back and whispered in my ear. "I couldn't let you go without that." And next thing you know he was out of sight.

I leaned back against the door and slid down into a sitting position with my knees up. My hand moved to my mouth, feeling the kiss lingering there. The taste of his lips was sweet and I craved for more but the night was over and I would see him again tomorrow.
