8. chapter 7

Louis' POV
We pulled up outside my flat, silence filling the car. I looked over at Gillian, who was looking down at her feet. Reaching over, I put my hand on top of hers. "What's wrong, love?"
She looked up at me, smiling. "No one has ever been this nice to me before. I mean, you really didn't have to go through all this trouble to get me clothes! I know it must have cost a lot and I could've just easily worn all my clothes that I have-"
"Gillian." I cut off her rambling.
She looked down, blushing slightly. "Just... Thank you, Louis."
Smiling, I brought her head up so I could look her in the eyes. "You deserve it all, Gillian." I leaned slightly towards her, waiting for her response.
When she didn't pull away, I leaned forward, our lips brushing.
"I really don't mean to interrupt what could only turn into a snogging session but, where the hell is my phone?" We both jumped apart as we saw Zayn outside the passenger window, frustration clear on his face.
"Oh!" Gillian slid out of the car, digging in her pockets, pulling out a small device. I got out and went around to stand next to Gillian. Zayn's face lit up as he saw the phone, before he frowned.
"Why did you have my phone, Gillian?" He asked curiously.
"Well, last night when you were, well... plastered, you called someone. So I took it away before you could call her again."
Zayn's face flushed completely before he asked, "Who did I call?"
Gillian eyebrows furrowed as if she tried to remember who it was.
Zayn was confused once more before distress flashed onto his face. "PERRIE?"
Gillian smiled. "That's it!"
"Oh, hell," he mumbled, before running back inside, the phone clutched tightly in his hand. Gillian turned to me. "What was that all about?" She questioned, hefting the bags to grip them tight.
I chuckled. "Perrie didn't know that we went to see you last night," I replied, taking the bags from Gillian and leading her back inside.
Once we were inside, we both flopped on the couch, exhausted. I took a deep breath, sneaking a glance over at Gillian.
She had her eyes closed, arms crossed across her chest, and hair falling in her face. I reached over, pushing her hair gently behind her ear.
"Thanks," she mumbled.
I stood up, dragging the many shopping bags into our guest bedroom at the end of the hall. I began pulling the clothes out of the bag and either hanging them up or throwing them in a drawer. Lastly, I pulled out the large box containing the dress I had bought her. Just as an idea formed in my mind, I heard a small shriek.
Dropping the box back onto the bed, I rushed back into the living room. My fear quickly turned to relief as I saw Gillian shrieking from her tickle fight with Niall and Harry.
"S-stop!" She stuttered, laughing loudly.
"Well next time don't scare us like that!" Niall replied in mock anger. The boys smiled at each other once more before letting Gillian breathe again.
Gillian wiped her eyes before focusing them on me. "Hey, Louis," she smiled.
I came over to her, forcing a smile, before turning back to face the boys. "What are you guys doing here? I thought you were visiting Liam?"
Harry looked behind me, back at Gillian, before answering, "We want him to meet her!"
Zayn stumbled in, looking worried. "Perrie isn't answering! She must have turned her phone off when we were sleeping..." He trailed off, coming to sit by Gillian on the couch, covering his face with his arm and leaning back.
Gillian's face lit up as she breathed a small, "Oh!" She looked at each of us. "Can someone explain to me how the hell you all ended up in the same bed as me the other night?"
Blushing, I looked to the other boys to see their faces were red too.
Niall piped up first. "To be honest, I just came to ask if you could make me another sandwich. But, I don't know, I was tired and you looked so warm..." Trailing off, he smiled, running a hand through his hair.
Zayn spoke next. "Well, like I said, I was looking for my phone. When I saw Niall, I just wanted to join in the fun!" He joked, laughing quietly to himself.
Harry shrugged before replying, "You're hot." He winked, smiling jokingly.
"I was trying to protect you from this lot," I shoved Harry back a bit, laughing.
After a moment of silence, Zayn stood up and walked to the door, grabbing his jacket. "I'm going to go talk to Perrie."
We all said our goodbyes to Zayn, Louis, Niall, and Harry all collapsing onto the couch next to me.
"Liam!" Niall shouted, laying his head on my shoulder. "Get your arse in here!"
Liam walked in, holding up a finger and pointing to the phone plastered to the side of head. "Management," he whispered. Seeing Gillian, he smiled, waving.
"Yeah, okay. Is he- okay. Yeah, I'll tell him." Liam hung up, groaning in frustration.
"What's wrong, Li?" Niall asked.
"They want to meet with Louis. Right now."
I shot up, curiosity and fear building in me. "Did they say why?"
Liam shook his head. "No, but they said it was important. They sounded angry, Louis. What did you do?"
My face flushed, my mind drawing a blank. "I don't know. I guess I better go find out." I looked to Gillian. "Will you be okay for a bit with the lads here?"
She nodded, giving me a small smile. "Yeah, of course. Maybe I'll make Niall and sandwich."
Niall fist pumped the air. "Yes! Come on!" He shot up, jogging into the kitchen, pulling Gillian behind him.
Saying goodbye to the other boys, I snatched my keys and jacket, slowly walking to my car. What did I do?
