The inspiration for this story came from the author of Divergent, Veronica Roth, but mine is definately me own and I hope you love reading it as much as I did writing it.

1. Prologue

A woman lay on the ground, awaiting death to come and engulf her soul. Her vision is blurred and all she can see is a figure standing above her head, a sword in it's right hand. It lifts the sword in the air and holds it above its head, the tip pointing towards her. The figure tries to pierce her neck, but she am focused and quick enough to roll to the side. She look around in that brief second and see the dead bodies surrounding me, caked and matted in blood and sweat. The figure advances and brings the sword down again and she rolls to the other side and get up, her legs wobbling as she stand. The figure veers around and swings the sword, nicking her chest. She step back and fumble to the ground, tripping over a victim. The woman still can't see anything but shadows and try to finger around for a weapon, but she may be too late. The figure brings the sword over his head again and thrusts  it down upon her head. Even in this fog, she sees the tip of the sword is facing the other side. The force knocks her out, her head banging the ground. and all goes black.
