Half a Story: What Never Was

Bad boy Mark, asks out goody-goody Ellie after months of working up the courage. She says no & he feels stupid. That's only half the story.

Ellie makes the accidental mistake of saying no to Mark & thinks that he hates her. That's only half the story.

The fantasy half of this story, watch as the halves make up a whole story.

16. The question we've all been waiting for.

Mark's POV

It was the last dance of the night and Ellie and I were slow-dancing in the corner of the hall. As I gazedinto her hazel-brown eyes, I knew I had to ask her soon. After all, a lot had happened between me and Ellie since the last time I asked her out, so what's the worst that could happen? When the music stopped,  I pulled Ellie out, into the small locker room. Anyway, she looked at me, like she was searching for some answers to her questions. I took a deep breath, before saying, "Well, erm Ellie as you know, we've been through quite a lot together this past week. I was just wondering, um, will you be my girlfriend?" At this point, I was on my knees, holding  the hand which her promise ring was on. I looked up from the floor to see Ellie had gone chalk-white. Then, she took a deep breath and gave her answer.

Ellie's POV

I can't believe Mark's asking me out, while on his knees! Take a deep breath Ellie, you don't want to mess up again. Not after last time. I gazed into his chocolate-brown eyes and said, "Yes!!!" Once ne was stood up, I gave him a hug.

"No more refusals?" he asked, a questioning look on his face.

"No more refusals," I replied, the huge grin on my face sealing any questions off.

A/N: Sorry for the small chapter, I had to take a chunk of this chapter out, so it would make sense with Hanny's last chapter. Don't worry, there's still more to come. :-D
