Half a Story: What Never Was

Bad boy Mark, asks out goody-goody Ellie after months of working up the courage. She says no & he feels stupid. That's only half the story.

Ellie makes the accidental mistake of saying no to Mark & thinks that he hates her. That's only half the story.

The fantasy half of this story, watch as the halves make up a whole story.

7. A Bit of Dramatic Irony

Maya's POV

I was in the school library doing some revision for a science test, when i saw the heartthrob that is Mark Brothaus walk in. Wait, what? Why would a bad boy like him come into a LIBRARY when he has a reputation to uphold? It makes no sense whatsoever. He was gazing at something across the room, so i followed his gaze to find he was looking at ...Ellie. My eyes narrowed to slits when i saw the two of them walk into the deserted computer room. "Aha! It's the footage from the camera in the computer room!" Just what i was looking for.

"Yes" I heard Ellie say. Mark was clearly as confused as i was, because then she continued.

"Yes, i will go to the dance with you."

Mark grinned like a fool, and i could do nothing but gasp. How COULD she! How dare she utter those words from that smug little mouth of hers? She obviously doesn't deserve him as i do! As a devious plan formed in my head, my mind went back to what they were discussing now.

"We absolutely Must keep it a secret 'till Valentines Day"

I couldn't take it any longer. I switched the computer off, and walked out, a wild grin spreading across my face as i thought of the perfect revenge. Ellie had no idea what was coming...
