6. The Grand Tour Part Two

*Karilin's POV.*

"What took so long? I'm ready to eat!" Niall said loudly. Mary nodded in agreement, so did Diana.

We all sat down while Niall and Mary went off to get all of our food.

"So, what were you two doing since we left you? Louis and I ran into everyone but you at some point." Charley said.

"Oh, we just walked around." I replied, giving Liam a discreet smile.

"I see. So what were you two really doing?" she asked again.

"Oh, look at that wall! Isn't it beautiful?" I said, pointing a a completely blank white wall.

"Yes, that plain, white wall really looks amazing, doesn't it?" Laurel asked sarcastically.

"It does! It looks..." I paused, I had no idea what to do here. "It looks so angelic!" I said, trying to sound excited.

"I'm sure it does." Charley replied. "Now, what were you and Liam doing while we were gone?" she asked again.

I rolled my eyes. So much for distractions.

"I've asked Karilin to be my girlfriend." Liam said, raising our intertwined hands and gently putting them on the table.

"That's what I thought." Callie said, looking down at the space between her and Harry.

I looked down too, realizing there was no space between Liam and I. I leaned my head on his shoulder and briefly closed my eyes. I was so tired.

"Food's here!" Callie shouted.

I opened my eyes to see Niall sit a large tray on the table. "FOOD!" I shouted. "Give me my food now."

Mary put her large tray on the table. "Can we put the food on the table first?" she asked sarcastically.

"No." I laughed. "Can I have my food now?" I asked.

"Here." Mary said, handing me a hamburger with french fries. Niall passed Liam the same thing.

"BURGER BOY!" I shouted. Liam just laughed.

"Help! Help!" Charley shouted, laughing.

"SOMEONE NEEDS HELP! SUPERMAN IS HERE!" Louis shouted, ripping his shirt off to reveal a Superman t-shirt.

"I need..." Charley said, smiling. "BURGER BOY!" she shouted jokingly.

"That's okay." Louis said, not so loud. He wrapped both arms around Charley, tickling her.

Charley sat there, squirming and trying not to laugh. She was really ticklish. Finally, she stopped fighting her laughter and let it out. I was surprised she didn't break sooner.

"Louis! Stop! Please! I-can't-breathe!" she laughed.

"Nope!" he said, laughing.

Suddenly, Liam wrapped his arms around my waist, pulling me into his lap in our seat. I tried to escape, knowing he was about to tickle me, but I was too late. I was already in fits of laughter. I was horribly ticklish. I looked at Callie, who had already been pulled into Harry's chest and was bursting into laughter as Harry tickled her.

Niall, Mary, Chance, Diana, Laurel, and Zayn were just eating and watching us. So sweet of them.

"Stop! Please, Liam! Please stop!" I said.

"Louis, we're in public!" Charley said.

Callie couldn't even get words out of her mouth.

"All the more reason to do this!" Louis shouted back at Charley, laughing. Finally, he stopped, leaning into Charley, turning her face to his, and planting a kiss on her lips.

"Liam!" I pleaded.

"What do I get if I stop?" he asked.

"What you should be asking is what you'll get if you don't." I replied, trying to stop my laughter.

Liam finally stopped, turning me around and giving me the puppy dog face.

"Thank you." I said, pecking him on the cheek. He smiled.

Throughout the rest of lunch, we planned our day, talked about my RedBull obsession, and the need of carrots.

We decided the next place we would go was the London Eye. We'd always wanted to see it.

When we finished lunch, we walked out of the mall. Liam hadn't released my hand since we finished eating. I didn't want him to.

*Charley's POV*

Louis took my hand as we reached the London Eye. We all shared the cost for a private capsule. The line had been extremely short, and we only had to wait five minutes to buy our tickets. After, we waited ten more minutes to enter the capsule. I was so excited.

"A bit excited, Charley?" Louis asked sarcastically.

"This was number four on my bucket list!" I said happily.

"What were three, two, and one?" he asked.

I flushed. "Erm... Well, to meet One Direction, move to England, and go on a world tour with Pieced Together." I mumbled.

"Wish granted." Louis said softly, pecking me on the lips.

I looked at the ground, hiding my smile. Louis tapped my chin with his index finger, making me lift my head and look into his eyes. In them, I could see that determination I'd seen earlier.

"You're beautiful. I'll make you believe me," he said seriously.

"I can't." I replied.

"But you will."

I chose not to reply. I didn't want to argue with him.

Louis and I were the first to enter the capsule, skipping, arm in arm and singing "We're off to see the wizard! The wonderful wizard of Oz!"

Everyone else laughed, following us inside. Once we were all inside, the capsule slowly started to move.

I walked over to the glass, pulling out my phone and snapping pictures. I heard the click of another iPhone camera behind me. I turned around to see Louis was taking pictures of me. He was laughing.

"What's so funny?" I asked self-conciously.

"You look like a- well, Niall, in a candy shop!" he said, giving me a smile.

I frowned. Did I really look that excited? "Oh." I replied.

"That isn't a bad thing, Charley. It's cute when you do it." he smiled again.

I just turned back around, snapping more pictures of the amazing view.

I felt two hands on my shoulders. I tilted my head back, seeing Louis standing over me. I locked my phone as he brushed his lips against my forehead.

"I'm sorry." he said, wrapping his arms around me.

I leaned back into his chest. This was a moment I would want to remember for the rest of my life. The day I moved to England with my best friends. The day I got to ride the London Eye. The day I met One Direction. The day I became Louis Tomlinson's girlfriend. I unlocked my phone again, going to Instagram. Louis kissed my cheek as I snapped a picture. I smiled. I captioned the picture "First day in England? Success. :D #LondonEye #boyfriend #onedirection", tapping the 'Share' button. I locked my phone again, getting ready to push it back into my pocket. Before I could, my alert tone played, which was enbarrassing, as it was Little Things. I unlocked my phone again to see I had twelve likes on the photo of Louis and I. I had three new followers. The likes on the photo constantly increased, until, finally, I had to turn my notifications for Instagram off.

I snapped a few more pictures of the amazing view before putting my phone away. Louis let go of me, looking down at his phone. My phone vibrated again. I found I had a mention and a new follower on twitter. I opened the app to see Louis had found my profile, followed me, and tweeted a picture of me snapping pictures of the view. With it, he had tweeted "@Choctatoes in the London Eye. Follow her!" It already had thousands of retweets, and I had a quickly increasing number of followers.

I looked up at Louis, smiling and rolling my eyes. "Thanks." I said sarcastically.

We were almost back to the bottom, and a monotonous voice from the speakers told us to congregate to one side of the capsule if we wanted to be in an automatic picture.

We all did as the speaker said. We stood in a line, side by side, arms over each other's shoulders and around waists. Chance was on the left end, his arm over Diana's shoulder. Her arm was around his waist. Next to Diana was Zayn, who had his arm around Laurel on his other side. Beside Laurel was Niall, who had his arm around Mary. She stood next to Harry. He had his arm around Callie. Louis was standing next to Callie, his arm wrapped around me. Liam stood next to me, his arm wrapped around Karilin, who was on the end.

Louis pressed his lips to my temple as the picture was snapped. I smiled.

As we exited the capsule, we each coughed up seven pounds for the picture.

When we were finished there, we headed back to our apartment.

"Hop on." Louis said, completely stopping about a block from the apartment building.

"Are you crazy?" I asked.

"Yes. Come on. I wont drop you." Louis smiled at me.

I smiled back. But didn't move otherwise.

"Charley. Come on." He repeated.

I hopped onto Louis' back, wrapping my arms loosely around his neck, my legs securely around his waist. He grabbed under my knees, leaving my feet dangling.

I rested my chin on his shoulder, softly smiling.

"Happy?" I asked.

"Extremely." He replied.

Callie and Karilin walked in front of us, dragging Liam and Harry with them. They both took out their phones, snapping picture of us. I stuck out my tongue, crinkling my nose. We had now started walking again.

"What are you two doing?" I asked.

"Taking pictures." They said at the same time. Liam and Harry laughed.

"Obviously. Why?"

"Because, Charley, you're actually happy. And because you're really cute together." Karilin replied.

Callie and Karilin turned back around, no longer walking backward.

I leaned toward Louis to kiss him on the cheek. He smiled, turning his face and kissed me full on the lips.

"Louis, we have to walk to get to the apartment." I reminded him, as he had completely stopped.

I rested my chin on his shoulder again as he continued to walk.

Once we reached our building, we realized we still didn't have any groceries. So, instead of going to our apartment, we went to the boys'.

I watched Liam take out his key and unlock the door. As he pushed it open, Louis waled through the door, putting me on the bright red couch. As the door closed, I noticed Liam and Karilin weren't in the room. But I decided not to say anything, as Karilin probably wouldn't have if she'd noticed I'd disappeared with Louis in his apartment. They were probably off having a make-out session.

Louis sat down beside me, completely wrapping me in his embrace. It was like snuggling with a really fit teddy bear.

I looked up at him, seeing the angry expression on his face.

"What's wrong, Lou?" I asked. I heard snickers from Harry and Callie.

"You didn't see them?" Callie asked, now trying to calm her giggles.

"See who?"

"There were guys staring at you the whole way here." Louis said, trying to sound calm. It wasn't really working.

It was Diana, this time, who laughed.

"How did you not notice that?" Laurel asked sarcastically.

"I was thinking."

"Mhmm. You sure were." Mary said, winking.

"Shut up." I replied, rolling my eyes. I looked back up at Louis, still seeing the anger in his eyes, but he was wearing a small smile now. "It'll be fine, Lou. I'm yours." I said, trying to calm him.

Louis suddenly took my hand, pulling me to what I assumed was his bedroom. He grabbed my hips, pulling me closer to him. I smiled as my chest was pressed to his.

"This is cozy." I said, wrapping my arms around him.

"Charley." He said. His face softened. "I'm sorry. I overreacted." He gave me that smile that I couldn't resist.

I stood on my toes, wanting to feel his soft kiss. Unfortunately, I was extremely clumsy, and had practically no balance at all. So, once I stood on my toes, I almost fell over. I would have if Louis hadn't had his arms wrapped around me.

He laughed as he held me steady. I smiled, receiving the soft kiss I was looking for. I pulled away, taking his hand and sitting in the floor against the door. He sat down beside me, looking into my eyes and planting a kiss on my cheek. I could feel my heart melt every time he did that.

I leaned my head on his shoulder as he rubbed small circles in my back.

"They'll make something wrong of this." I said quietly.

"Probably." He chuckled.

I looked up at him, searching his eyes. He smiled.

Sure enough, I heard a knock at the door. "Come on, guys, I'd come out before they lecture you." Karilin said loudly.

"Sounds like someone's been caught." I replied.

"Maybe." she said, opening the door and swerving.

"Good job, child." I replied sarcastically.

Louis took my hand as we stood, pulling me swiftly to the living room. I could see the smile on his face.

"Ooo, Charley and Louis sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g." Diana said, smiling.

"Two can play at this game, though we weren't really in a tree." Louis said, pulling me into his chest and kissing me. "Charley seems to have told me about a time when-"

"That was a nice day. But not a day for story time." Chance interrupted, causing me to burst into laughter.

I walked over to sit down beside Liam and Karilin. "Lecture on." I said as Louis followed, chuckling.

Karilin looked at me, laughing.

"You do know you just met them, correct, Charley, Karilin?" Laurel asked.

"All the more reason to spend time with them." Karilin said.

I smiled, looking back up at Louis. He smiled too, wrapping his arms around me and resting his chin on my head. I leaned into Louis' chest as Laurel continuously lectured us. Once she stopped, she sat back in her chair. Apparently, Karilin and Liam had been found in the bedroom with the door locked a few minutes before Karilin came to find Louis and I.

Everyone else simply sat in front of us and laughed at our expense.

"By the way, Laurel, Louis only took me in there to talk. He wanted to apologize." I said, making Laurel blush.

"How do I know thats the truth?" She asked.

"Because, when I went to find them, I heard a lot of their conversation. Louis was sitting there apologizing the whole time, though she probably didn't notice. She would have replied.

Had he really apologized the whole time? I had been concentrating on my thoughts the whole time, not even hearing him after a few minutes.

I looked up at him, noticing his sheepish grin.

"LOUIS HAS A CRUSH ON CHARLEY!" Harry shouted seriously.

"HARRY! I TOLD YOU THAT WAS A SECRET." Louis replied, shoving Harry.

"CHARLEY HAS A WITTLE CRUSH ON LOUIS!" Callie shouted, smiling.

"SHHHH! CALLIE!" I scolded. Everyone else laughed. "Make your child stop, Karilin! She's being a meanie!" I said childishly.

"I would shut up, Callie. She can embarrass you as well as I can." Karilin said, laughing.

"STORY TIME." Louis shouted.

"Oh, please! No!" Callie pleaded.

"Everyone tell a true story about yourself!" Louis said. "Charley, you're first."

"Thanks. Because I've always wanted to tell my boyfriend stupid stories about myself." I said sarcastically, rolling my eyes. "Fine." I gave in as I was given a pleading look.

"So, when I was in first grade, I got my mom to let me get my ears pierced." Laurel laughed. She had been there when it happened.

"What's so significant about that?" Louis asked.

"Don't interrupt. Be glad I'm telling you this because I'll never tell it again. I was wearing a new outfit, and it was my favorite. I was wearing a really cute purple skirt that was a little bit too big on me, so I'd been pulling it back up around my waist all day. I wore it with a white shirt that was covered in purple sparkles. So my mom said she would take me to get my ears pierced right after school. Well, I was a parent pick-up. So when the bell rang, my teacher led all of the other students down to either the busses or the pick-up area. I ran down the hallway with my Barbie backpack bouncing on my back at the front of the messed up line. My mom was late to pick me up that day because she had to go grocery shopping. So after waiting ten minutes, I saw my mom's car pull up and ran outside, telling the teacher who was stuck with making sure we went home with our actual parents (she was also my neighbor at the time) that my mommy was there and I was going to get my ears pierced. She smiled at me and opened the door, watching me run to my car and press my face up to the window, waiting for mom to unlock my car door. As I got into the car, she started laughing uncontrollably, telling me that my skirt was around my ankles." Everyone was laughing uncontrollably now. "Laurel had just been picked up and had been pointing and laughing at me."

"That was a fun day." Laurel said, still laughing.

"Not really. But we can pretend."

"Louis is next!" I shouted.

"This is for US to get to know you girls, Charley. You probably know everything about us. Including some things you shouldn't." Liam said. "We have no stories that you wouldn't know."

"Probably true. Laurel, then."

"Charley and I met in kindergarten. So like two days into the year she knew almost everyone in our class. And one day in like the second week, we were outside and lined up to go back in and she was behind me, standing on the trim along the fence. So she looked at me and said 'Hi Laurel!' I'm not really good with names so I just looked at her and asked her what her name was. But she laughed and apologized. Then she told me her name was Charlotte."

"That was when you said 'WOAH. I DIDN'T KNOW YOU EXISTED!'" I finished. Everyone laughed.

"It was not my brightest moment." Laurel said.

"It really wasn't." I replied.

"I'm sorry, friend." She apologized.

We continued telling our embarrassing stories for the next hour. We all had a good laugh. Sometimes at our own expense. It was still one of the best days of my life though.

At around five 'o' clock, the girls and I decided we should go to our apartment and begin to unpack. Louis quickly offered his help, which I happily accepted. The other boys decided they would tag along.

As Liam locked the door to their apartment, I realized Louis was having a talk with Harry, and Callie was by my side.

"What's up?" I asked.

"Harry and I have decided you two are in trouble. You were in his bedroom, Charley. And I have no reason at all to believe Karilin. So all I really want is to know what you were really doing."

"I'll tell you later. And probably everyone else." I said.

I dug out my apartment key which was now on my keychain and grabbed the correct key, putting it in the lock and twisting, pulling the key back out and opening the door. I felt eyes on my back so I looked back at Louis who was staring at me with an amused smile.

I looked down at my hand, which still clasped my keys. It took a moment for me to realize why he was staring. My keys were attached to a multitude of One Direction keychains, including mini-dolls. I quickly shoved my keys into Laurel's hands, running inside. "That keychain was not in any way mine!" I shouted over my shoulder. "Nope nope nope!"

As I ran to my bedroom, I felt two strong hands pull me to a stop. I looked up to find Louis giving me a funny look as he pushed my arms down to stop my struggling.

"Why did you run?" Louis asked, his forehead creased.

"I tend to do that when I'm embarrassed." I blushed. "I always wind up regretting it though."

"You don't have to be embarrassed. And you never have to run from me. You can always talk to me, Charley." He said sweetly, looking worriedly into my eyes.

I looked down at my feet, letting a tear fall and hoping Louis wouldn't notice. I leaned back into his chest, turning my face back up to his hoping to receive a kiss. He turned my whole body toward him, wrapping his arms around my waist, kissing my cheek. The tears flowed freely now. Louis cupped my face with his left hand and wiped them away with his thumb. He pressed his lips to mine, tears now trailing down his face.

"Please don't cry, Charley. Come on, we can talk while we unpack your stuff." Louis said, pulling me to my bedroom.

I wiped another tear away as Louis grasped my hand. I knew I shouldn't have run from him. I shouldn't have ever run from anything. More tears flowed over as I slowly went through the memories in my head. When I was angry, upset, sad, or embarrassed, I always ran. It was my worst habit.

I closed the door behind us as we entered the room. Louis sat down in the floor next to one of my suitcases, beginning to unzip it and patting the floor beside him. I sat down where he had patted the floor, leaning on his shoulder as I pulled up another suitcase. I unzipped it, pulling out the wrinkled contents which I had just shoved in it, packing at the absolute last minute. It was my bathing suit and summer wear suit case.

I looked back at Louis to find that he hadn't moved since he opened the suitcase. I looked at its contents, trying to figure out why he was staring at my suitcase. I blushed as I realized that suitcase was filled with my bras and underwear. I saw a small smile on his face. I turned back around, folding and stacking my summer clothes.

"Erm, Charley, are you okay with me, erm, unpacking these?" Louis asked, looking back at me.

I giggled. "I'm kind of wondering if you're mentally prepared for that." I joked.

Louis gasped in fake astonishment, pulling me into his lap, running his hands over my body as he tickled me.

"Louis," I said lazily, trying not to giggle.

"Charlotte." He replied, smiling.

"Stop! Please!"

"What would I get if I did?"

"I don't know yet. I'm debating." I said.

"Ooh, cheeky aren't we." He said, stopping and running his hand through his hair and laying back in the floor.

"Ooh, lazy aren't we." I said, mocking his tone.

"Cute." He said sarcastically.

"I know I am." I said, smiling and ignoring his sarcasm.

He smiled and pulled me down with him. I did too as my head fell to his chest.

"Louis?" I asked.

"Why me? I mean, you could have gotten almost anyone. There are plenty of girls, simply lined up for you. I was one of them. But I was at the end of that line. I'm ugly. I just need to know why, Lou."

Louis's face grew worried and upset as I trailed off. "Charley, I know exactly why I like you. When I first saw you, I noticed how beautiful you were. I noticed your personality, and it stunned me. The whole time, you were just standing there, smiling and giggling at your friends. You didn't even stop them until you realized you were going to miss your flight. But then I heard you say 'What if we got to meet One Direction?' The fangirl part kind of told me to walk past you. But I realized it could be my best chance. And seeing you walk away would have ended that chance right away. Bottom line, Charley, you're beautiful, and you have everything I look for in a girl. I wish you would stop thinking bad things about yourself."

"I'm sorry, Louis. But I can't. I can't believe something that isn't true." I said, staring at the ground.

"Hey." He said gently, touching my chin with his index finger and tilting my face toward his. I kept my eyes on the floor, knowing I would melt if I looked into his. "Charlotte Ann Miller, you are beautiful. Look into my eyes, Charley." I looked up for a brief second, almost ready to try and believe him. But I looked back down at my feet. He put his forehead to mine, forcing me to look at his face at least. But I couldn't help but look into his eyes. "You're beautiful, Charlotte." He said.

Our lips were millimeters apart, our foreheads still touching, we were staring into each other's eyes. Louis put his hand on the back of my neck, connecting our lips as I knotted my hands in his hair.

"I could get used to this." I mumbled into his mouth.

"Mmmm," he moaned. "So could I." He said, chuckling, pulling away and turning back to my suitcase.

"But maybe I shouldn't." I thought.

"Charley, come help me with dinner." Karilin shouted as I heard her footsteps pass my door.

"I didn't know you knew how to cook." Louis said, chuckling.

"This may come as a surprise to you, but there are a lot of things you don't know about me." I smiled cheekily. "But, I was unaware we had any groceries to cook anything."

Louis took my hand and led me out the door and into the kitchen where bags of groceries were stacked on the counters.

"Charley. Charley. Charley don't make me do it. Get up. I swear I will." I heard Karilin say.

"Mmm. But I just want to sleep." I groaned.

"COME ON, CHARLEY. WE MOVE TO ENGLAND TODAY." I heard Mary shouting at me.
