2. Chapter Two

Haydens right hand slammed down on her alarm clock as she groaned begining to get out of bed. She grabbed her dark blue skinny jeans, and her pink sheer top, fishtail braiding her hair to the side. She pulled on a pair of pink pastel flats, and did her eye liner. She grabbed her back pack and walked down stairs. "Goodmorning sweetie." Hayden's father said. He barely looked up from his newspaper. Parts of his grey tufts of hair peeking out from above it. He folded the newspaper and set it on the table, letting Hayden stare into his auburn eyes. "Morning Daddy." She said smiling. Her smile always showed her dimples, and her fathers smile mimicked hers. He walked over kissed the top of her chestnut hair, and said "Have a good day at school." And then grabbed his keys walking out of the house. She grabbed her IPod, and plugged in the song Someone Like You by Adele. She walked out her front door, and down the street to her school. She took in the scent of fresh cut grass, and her neigboorhoods cute type of scenery, with all the oak trees, and the pine trees. Some peoples yards painted with the colorful leaves of the trees. She noticed some people leaving for work as she waved at the friendly neigbor hood people. A famalir head of bruntette hair appeared in front of her. She rolled her eyes, as he slowed his pace to match hers.

"Hey Hayden." Jack Vaughn said. "Hi." Hayden said back bluntly. "How are you today on this lovely morning?" Jack said, smiling, showing his perfect, white teeth. "Im fine." Hayden said, moving away from him a little ways. "Me too. I was wondering if you want to go out to dinner with me tonight? It being friday night and all." Jack was trying to be charming. "No." Hayden said, walking faster. "and why not?" Jack said. "Well, mainly because I hate you, and I dont want to." Jacks smile faded, and his eyes filled with sorrow. Hayden turned to him and studied his face. His expression was one she had never seen before. He looked disappointed, and hurt. His blue eyes dulled to a dark grey. Her dark eyebrows furrowed across her forehead in confusion. She studied his face for a while longer, and then turned around and continued walking. Jack walked slowly behind her, dragging his feet on the ground. Wow, she really doesnt like me, but what ever I do, she will be mine. He said. His face retured to normal, as he approached his friends. He gave a bro hug to his friend Luke, and while still facing Hayden's back, he watched her gracefully glide into the building to her first period, her little strands of loose hair blowing behind her as she clutched her textbooks to her chest.

Hayden walked into her first class, taking her seat into the back of the class, away from everyone else. But unluckily, after this class was over, she had to face the abnoxious Jack again. She sighed in annoyance. She was fidiling with her pencil when the bell for tardy rang. She tried to pay close attention to the lesson, but she began to slowly zoom out, the fuzzy image of Jack's unknown expression kept slipping into her mind. she was so confuesed. She had never seen it before. His bright blue eyes dull with sorrow, and his tan cheeks flushed pink.

Jack sat in American History, not paying attention. Instead day dreaming about Hayden. The way her chestnut colored hair flowed down her back, and the way her face was covered in freckles. Her auburn eyes bright with wonder, and her perfect skin. He day dreamed about touching her silky smooth skin, about caressing the soft skin of her cheek when he kissed her softly. These images began to be to much for him as he shook his head coming straight out of the dream, and joining the real world lessons again. He would get to see her next class, and he sits right next her too. The way her hair smelled like watermelons and strawberries. He always watched her closely, and loved the way she wore glasses while reading. He was begining to fall for a girl, that began to be just a bet, but was becoming something more.
