9. Chapter nine

Hayden got up slowly as Jack lead her to the middle of the room. She snatched her small hand from his grasp. "You need to leave Jack." She said softly watching him turn toward her. "Its that kid you were talking to early...Isnt it?" He asked rubbing the back of his hair line with his hand. "Its none of your buisness Jack." Hayden retaliated. "You know what? Fine Hayden. I give up. Go be with the pretty boy then." Jack shouted and walked out of her room out the door to his own home. Hayden sat on the window seat that overlooked Jacks bedroom. She sat letting a few tears fall from her eyes down her pale, freckled face. She watched Jack slam his door closed, and watched as he threw pillows and punched his wall. Hayden grasped her hand over her mouth as she cried harder. Her phone on her bed lite up and blinked twice. She stood up and wiped the tears from her face. She grabbed her phone and saw a text:

Hey Hayden! Its Chase Longly. :)

She giggled quietly texting back: Hey, Chase. :) Withen five minutes she recieved a text back. I was wondering if you wanted to hang out tomorrow. Maybe at the park? :) Jack didnt enter her mind once as she texted back, I'd love too! I'll see you at 12:00 noon :) she smiled as she set her phone on her nightstand and then noticed Jack's light go off. She sighed deeply, but thought of Chase. His blue eyes and olive skin. The dimples on his cheek. Just everything about him made her smile.

Jack noticed Hayden's light go off, as he headed to bed himself. He tried to tell himself that he didnt need her. That he could forget about her. But he knew as well as anybody that it wasnt that easy. The next morning he turned on his side toward Hayden's bedroom as he watched her turn her light on, and watched as she got dressed. He thought she was the most beautiful human he had ever seen, but he couldnt have her. He watched her smile as she answered her phone and laughed when talking. She turned toward her door, turning off her light, and walk out her door. He turned on his TV trying to get his mind off of the girl of his dreams.

Hayden was on her way to meet Chase. Maybe this would be the boy that would be different. Maybe he would actually love her the way she deserved. She took a deep breath, fixing her floral sundress and brushed her fingers through her curly hair, before she approached the boy. He was wearing a black VNeck with blue skinny jeans and a dark grey beanie, pushing his hair outside of it. He was watching the kids swing on the monkey bars. She smiled when he noticed her walking toward her. "Hey beautiful." He said shyly, causing her to blush. "Hi." She said, watching him stand up next to her and hugging her. "C'mon, lets take a walk." He smiled as he turned toward the sidewalk. She listened to him make cheesy jokes as she thought how good and freindly he was. Their hands kept brushing, and then Chase grabbed it. He intertwined their fingers together. She looked and smiled at him as he squeezed her hand. "Hey, why dont we go hang out at my house?" Hayden asked looking at him. "sure!" He said smiling as they continued to walk toward her home.

Jack looked out his room, when he noticed Hayden's light flicker on. But then he noticed the boy from last night in her room.
