MINNIE (A Harry Styles Fanfiction)

Harry Styles doesn't know that I had his baby. All this time I've been okay with keeping it that way. I figure it would only ruin his career if I ran into his life with a kid, so I just kinda keep the whole thing to myself. I mean, I think I've done a pretty good job in the past year. But honestly, I don't want Minnie growing up without a dad. I did, and I hated it. Maybe the time has come to finally tell Harry that he has a baby girl.

49. Forty Nine

I remember seeing her eyes open for the first time. They were blue. The brightest blue I've ever seen. I could barely see her bones anymore, because she was finally growing and on her way to recovery. The doctor said that the improvement was miraculous. they even moved her up to a different room with healthier babies. My little Delilah didn't seem to be having ant problems at all. That means that she's going to be all right. Healthy.

Minnie's cry had jolted me out of my thoughts. She had tried to stand up, with the help of the coffee table, and fell right on her bottom. I picked her up and rocked her lightly, shushing her. Mom informed me that dinner was ready, and I promised to meet her at the dining table in a minute. She'd cooked for me everyday since I'd gotten home from the hospital.

I fed Minnie her baby food while I scarfed down my own, making sure to thank my mother several times for cooking.  The front door rang, so I shot up to get it. I was happy to realize that it was the round crib we'd ordered online. I excitedly thanked the man, but took a second look before stepping back inside. There was a girl on my front lawn. She was beaten, and crawling. I tiptoed over to her as the mail guy drove away. There was a light rain falling, and the fog made it hard to see her. "Hun, are you okay?"

"Get away from me." the girl yelled, falling on her stomach. I blinked, double taking to notice that it was Emily. Her eye was closed shut, and a horrid shade of purple. Her poor lip was split open and I couldn't even count the bruises on her limp body. I gasped, and knelt down by her side. She tried pushing me away, but she didn't have enough strength.

"Emily, can I help you? Please?" she started crying, and just dropped into the wet grass. Probably feeling worthless. "Who did this to you?" she pointed to the house next door. "Mr. Keelyn?" she nodded, and touched her lip with her finger. I pulled her hand away and helped her stand up. "Come inside, I'll get you cleaned up." she just kept crying. I led in to the house and immediately brought her to the bathroom, where I pulled out the booboo supplies. She sat on the sink while I gently wiped her lip. Her rosy hair was flowing all around, damp and stringy. Tears constantly dripped down her face. I checked her eye out, and winced at the swelling. I put some medicine on her mouth and the small cuts, then instructed her to hop down. "Do you want to talk about it?" I asked, feeling guilty. Although she'd caused lots of trouble in my life, I couldn't help but feel sorry.

"H-H-He hit me." she sobbed, stating the obvious.

"I know, but why?"

"We've been dating for a little bit... and he, he, he just started acting weird today. And all of a sudden, when I didn't do something he asked me to, he just flipped out and started lashing out." she cried. "I'm scared." I instantly felt the need to hug her, so I awkwardly pulled her into a quick embrace.

"Is this the first time he hit you?" she nodded, and wiped her nose with the back of her hand. I "Don't worry Emily, you'll be okay." Then there was a knock against the door. "Yes?" I asked.

"Hey, I'm home." Harry said. I cracked the door open. I turned around to face Emily.

"I'm gonna go get you some ice." I slid out, making sure that Harry couldn't see her.

"Who were you talking to?" he snaked his arm around my waist and snuggled into my neck. "Mmmmm you smell so nice. I was thinking about you all day at work." he whimpered into my skin and I pushed her black blazer off of his shoulders, kissing his jaw in the process.

"Harry, we need to talk." I walked to the kitchen, and dropped his jacket over a chair on the way. He followed me, now dressed in only a light blue v-neck. "I found Emily on the grass outside."

"What the hell is she doing back he-"

"No, she was hurt. That guy next door beat her."

"He what?"

"Harry I couldn't just leave her there, ad it was raining. So I brought her inside." I said, stuffing ice into a pouch. His mouth fell. "Please don't look at me that way." I tilted my head to the side in guilt.

"Well, Stella, I'm glad that you have such a kind heart but-"

"I know, its awkward. But she'll be out by morning."

"You're letting her spend the night?" I nodded.

"I was thinking about it." I fumbled with my fingers. He grasped my shoulders in his large hands, and kissed my forehead. "Can i have a real kiss?" I asked, putting my hand on his front. He smiled, leaning down and pressing his lips to mine. Our tongues collided as I came up on my tip toes, and wrapped my arms around his neck. I heard his happy sigh and smiled into his mouth. He pecked my lips once more and spun me around, leaving me breathless to watch him strut to the stairs. I dizzily stumbled back, grinning. Then I scurried back to the bathroom. "Would you like to lay down?" I asked shyly, handing her the pack of ice. She dropped her head.

"I really shouldn't be in your way. I know you have a new baby in the house. And I've caused you enough trouble. Congratulations by the way."

"Oh, thank you. But Delilah isn't home yet. She was almost three months premature, so she's still in the hospital."

"I'm sorry." she shook her head.

"No, it's fine. She's getting better. We'll be able to bring her home soon. But, by all means, please. Stay. You look tired."

"Why are you being so nice to me?" she questioned. She was right, I shouldn't be being so nice to her. But I knew what it felt like to be hit and desperate. I didn't answer her, just patted her shoulder and allowed her to follow me to one of the guest rooms. I put her in the farthest one, near the bay window at the end of the hall. "Thank you, Stella. I'm so sorry I ever treated you the way I did. I'm a bitch." I giggled, and tucked the blanket back. She got in, and smiled at me politely. I stepped out without saying another word, and closed the door. I stumbled back downstairs to get Minnie. Mom was cleaning up the kitchen as I kissed her goodnight, and returned the the second floor. Minnie started fussing as soon as I laid her down. A headache tortured my brain as she whined, so I went to get Harry.

"Harry, she won't fall asleep. She likes you better." He chuckled and stood to his feet, kissing my face on his way out. I went to the bathroom and washed my face, then dressed into my pajamas. Harry's body could be felt next to mine as the bed dipped. My eyes were closed, and I stopped my giggle when he nudged my chin with his nose, much like a baby tiger. I smiled as he continued, pressing small kisses along my jaw line.

"I know you're awake, cupcake." he grumbled. I decided to tease him, so I faced my back to him, cuddling with the pillow beneath me. " Absolutely not." he laughed, and spun me around. He straddled me, kissing me hard right away. I was caught off guard, gripping in shoulders to try and take control. He would allow me to, and just kept going. I heard as tap on the door, but ignored it, and someone stepped in. Harry pulled away and angrily fell beside me, rubbing his face with his large hands in a sigh. I saw Emily, bashfully crying.

"I'm so sorry." she bowed her head.

"Yeah, right." Harry groaned, his curls flopping over his forehead cutely.

"What's wrong, Emily?" I asked her, trying not to be as rude as Harry.

"I can't stay here. I'll just go home to my dad. I'll be fine." My mouth fell for some reason.

"Oh, well... I hope you get better."

"Thank you, Stella. For everything. And Harry," he grunted, not even looking her in the eyes. "I'm sorry I tried to split you two apart. You were obviously made for each other." she pursed her lips, and started backing out.

"I'll walk you ou-"

"No, no. I'll do it. Continue your fun." she smiled, and shut the door. "Harry sighed, and took my hand.

"Well that was extremely awkward, which brings me back to my previous point of WHY DID YOU BRING HER IN?" he said loudly.

"Because I'm kind, unlike you."

"I'm kind!" he whined, pulling my body to his. I rolled my eyes and kissed his nose. "If I weren't, you would even want to marry me."

"Says the guy that cheated on the fiance." I gasped sarcastically, seeing the guilt splash on his face. "Yup, I went there." His face turned pink and sniffled. "Now, where were we?" I tugged on his shirt, and he came closer. He looked down, losing his focus.

"You know, erm. I think I'm gonna go to sleep. I've got work in the morning. They want us there early so I better get some rest." he turned around and slugged his body tiredly against his half of the bed.

"Are you upset?" I asked, bewildered.

"No, not at all. Just tired." he mumbled. I frowned, because I didn't have any clue what was going on. Whatever.

I couldn't sleep, so I got up at 2 am and changed into long pants and a hoodie. Then I drove to the hospital to see my baby girl, leaving the world behind.
