Harry (Harry Styles One Shot)

Goes hand in hand with "Darcy" (don't have to read that before you read this).

It's Valentine's Day once again, and this time Harry's not alone. He's got his girl there with him, and this day's going to be perfect, at least as close to perfect as humanly possbile. 1SHOT41D

1. Harry

With a nervous smile on his face, Harry straightened out the bow tie on his neck while keeping the large bouquet tucked under his arm. Though Louis had reassured him many times that he looking absolutely dashing, Harry still couldn't help but nervously straighten his black pants and white button up shirt. He needed to look perfect for his girlfriend, for Darcy.

Finally satisfied with his appearance, he ran a mammoth hand through his hair before grabbing the flowers and knocking on the door in front of him with a shaky hand. His heart could be heard inside his chest as it beated rapidly. The sound could be heard in his ears. Why was he so nervous? He had taken Darcy on plenty of other dates before, they have, after all, been together for nine months. There was just something different about today’s date, and Harry knew exactly what it was. A year ago today, Harry had met Darcy. It was almost like an anniversary of some sort, and Harry wanted it to be perfect.

A few torturous seconds of waiting later, the door was opened to reveal quiet possibly the most beautiful girl Harry has ever seen. Darcy smiled, her lips bright red as always. However, today she abandoned her usual red clothing for a soft, strapless pale pink dress that reached just above her knees. An off-white cardigan covered her bare shoulders, matching her lacey flats. It amazed Harry that this girl could look so formal, but adorable at the same time. "Hi," Darcy said in her smooth, honey like voice, causing a grin to instantly spread across Harry's features.

"Hello there love, don't you look beautiful tonight," he chided, going for a kiss on the cheek. "Why don't you get your jacket and we can get going, alright?"

Darcy pressed her lips together. "Actually, I want you to come inside. I have something I want to show you," she turned on her heel, motioning for Harry to follow her inside her flat. He furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, but followed the girl any ways.

Harry had always loved Darcy's flat. It was giant like his, but it was small and cozy, it had a very home like feel to it. He followed her to the kitchen, where she was leaning against the counter with a small grin on her lovely features, hands behind her back. "What's up?" Harry inquired, giving Darcy a strange look.

She took her hands from behind her back, and he saw a piece of paper being held in front of him. Curious, he grabbed the ticket from Darcy's small hands and looked at it with furrowed eyebrows. The red-head let out a little giggle at the sight. Harry always told her she was adorable, but Darcy wasn't sure that Harry knew just how precious he looked most of the time, this being one of those times. Once Harry read the little words on the paper, he just looked up at Darcy even more confused. "Are you giving me a ticket to America for Valentine's Day? If so, I hope you know that the date on this ticket is the day we're going to be on tour."

Nodding a bit, Darcy just smiled, wanting Harry to figure it out on his own. Unfortunately, from the look Harry's face, that wasn't going to happen. "The tickets not for you silly, it's for me," Harry's head shot up at her words in shock, Darcy continued to explain. "Zayn called me the other day, he told me that Perrie, El, and Dani were going on tour with you guys, and he wanted to know if I would go. I said yes, but I asked him not to tell you, I wanted it to be a surprise. He couldn't tell you the girls were coming to, because then you'd ask me to come and that'd just ruin everything," she paused, waiting for a response from Harry, but she got none. He just stood there with his jaw dropped. "Harry? Is that okay?"

Before she knew it, strong arms were wrapped around her waist, lifting her up in the air and twirling her. A laugh escaped Darcy's lips as Harry just continued to spin her. "Harry! Stop!" she tried to be stern, but her incessant laughter was giving her away.

He placed her down on her feet, a giant smile on his face. Darcy poked his dimples with another little giggle, he was just so cute. "That's perfect! Oh my god, you have no idea how much this means to me! I thought I was going to have to spend eight months without you! This is the best gift ever!"

Harry looked into Darcy's eyes as she smiled up at him. This girl was perfect, she was perfect for him. Looking into her deep hazel eyes, Harry realized something; he felt it in the pit of his stomach. Swallowing the lump in his throat, Harry built up the courage to tell her something before his nerves got the better of him. "I love you," he said, slower and deeper than usually as he put every bit of honesty he had in his words.

Trapped in his green eyes, it took Darcy a moment to let his words sink in. When she realized the meaning of his words, she snaked her arms around Harry's neck and pulled him into her small frame. "I love you too Harry," she paused, "and I think that was the best gift anyone's ever gotten me."

Smiling, Harry backed away from his girlfriend. "Well, let's get going so I can give you your other gift so you'll love me even more," he poked Darcy in the nose. "To the five star restaurant we go!"

"I can't believe you got us kicked out of a five star restaurant," Darcy laughed as the couple walked together, Harry's arm slung over Darcy's shoulder. "That was quiet possible one of the greatest thing's I've ever seen in my life."

Harry grumbled a little pout on his face as he pulled Darcy closer to his side. "The waiter was making One Direction jokes right in front of my face. I admit, the first couple of ones were funny, but the one about us being gay was lame. I mean, I was with you, my girlfriend!"

"It was a really good idea to 'accidently' flip the tray of food over as he walked by then, letting him know who's boss are we?" she smirked up at him, "I like that. It's a new side of you." Harry laughed and pulled Darcy into him, giving her a bear hug. Her slim arms wrapped around his waist. "It was pretty funny though, totally worth not getting any food."

He placed his lips on the top of her head. "Don't worry, when we get home I'll cook you a dinner that beats any five star restaurant. You're still staying at my place for the night, right?" Darcy nodded under his grip, and he placed his chin at the top of her head. "I still have to give you your gift."

"That night was good enough," the red head giggled. "The look on the waiter's face was completely priceless," ignoring her; Harry released her tiny body and kneeled down on the ground. "No Harry, I'm not marrying you," Darcy snapped before he even got a chance to say anything. "I am too young and I haven't even graduated from Uni! I don't have a job!"

Harry laughed, shaking his head. "No, Darcy, I don't want to marry you now," he smiled, reaching into his pocket and pulling out a little black box. Darcy raised her eyebrows, obviously not convinced, "but yeah, it does look like that," he opened the black box to reveal a sliver ring, no diamonds, Darcy thanked the lord, but it was shaped like the infinity symbol. It matched the one Darcy had tattooed on her finger. "This is a promise. I promise to always protect you, to always be here for you.

"No matter what happens to us, I will always love you. I know that it's only been a year since I met you, but I feel like I've known you my whole life, as cheesy as that sounds. Before I met you, I was lonely all the time, and pretty jealous that everyone I knew had someone in their life but me. Then you came and everything changed. I feel like a totally new person when I'm with you, you just make me so much happier. Even after all the hate fans gave you, and when the media put this fake image on you, you stayed. I know how hard it's been to be with me, and you stuck with me. So now I promise to stay with you, no matter what. I love you Darcy, and I always will."

There were no words coming from Darcy's red lips, just tears of pure joy forming in her eyes. Harry gently removed the glove from her hand, placing the ring on her finger, the same one that had her tattoo. He placed a soft kiss on her hand before placing her glove back on. Harry stood to his full height, now looking down at Darcy, who was still speechless. Suddenly, like she's done a million times before, Darcy leaped into Harry's arms, clinging to his neck. "I love you so much," Darcy sobbed into his chest.

Harry nuzzled his head into the crook of Darcy's neck, a full out grin plastered on his face. "I love you too Darcy, I love you so much."
