That Brunette And Me

Amelia just moved to Britain from a small town, after having a terrible relationship with a past boyfriend. She meets superstar Liam Payne, but can she get over heartbreak, the wrath of Directioners, and being in fame? Or will she break under the pressure?

101. Sound.

"Liam, what in the world am I going to do?"

I sighed, looking at Liam as I buckled my seatbelt in his car. He started the ignition, looking at the wheel in concentration.

"That's a question I really can't answer."

As we drove to my apartment, to pick up my things, neither of us spoke. I kept Elle's letter clenched in my hand as I watched the trees whisk by. I didn't want to hurt Niall by telling him, but it was the right thing to do. I had to.

"Hon, I can tell him if you'd like...?" Liam suggested, clearing his throat. I shook my head. That would only make it worse for me. I needed to do it, for some unknown reason.

"I can do it. It just won't be very easy. For any of us."

We pulled up to the curb, taking boxes out of the trunk. It was mutually decided between Liam and I that I'd move into his house. I didn't exactly want to stay in my apartment alone, so I told the landlord I'd be moved out by today. I packed my things, folding my clothes into my suitcase, as Liam put some of my personal belongings, like photos and memoirs, carefully into the moving boxes. I didn't have much, so it would be easy to fit it all in the car.

As we lugged all of it into the car, Liam smiled at me, taking my hand in his.

"No matter what, Ames," he laughed, looking at the sky. "We're in this together."

"Together." I whispered, the word floating off of my tongue, drifting into the air.

I liked the sound of that.
