That Brunette And Me

Amelia just moved to Britain from a small town, after having a terrible relationship with a past boyfriend. She meets superstar Liam Payne, but can she get over heartbreak, the wrath of Directioners, and being in fame? Or will she break under the pressure?

48. Morning.

The sun shone onto my face, glaring into my eyes. I moved a little bit, feeling Liam's arms wrap just a little tighter around my body. He groaned, his face burrowing into my shoulder.

"I'm so tired!" He whined, and I shushed him.

"You've got to get up! It's beautiful outside!" I replied, untangling from his grasp and walking to the window. I opened the curtains to the shining pool, and the ocean view. I stepped into the bathroom, popping my contacts in. I walked out of the bathroom, finding that Liam was up and out of the room. I opened the door, then slid open the glass door. Liam was in the kitchen making tea in a kettle on the stove. I smiled, stepping up behind him, wrapping my arms around him. He turned, smiling.

"Good morning!" I sang, hugging him close.

"Morning, Ames! Want a cup of tea?"

"Yes please. I'm going to go wake up the rest of them." I said, walking out of the kitchen. I walked into the first room, finding Zayn and Perrie sleeping peacefully. I snuck up on them, my footsteps quiet. Then I jumped on the bed, going up and down. Zayn groaned, his eyes squeezed shut.

"Ugh." Perrie protested, her eyes snapping open. I grinned, stepping off of the bed.

"Good morning you two!" I said happily, skipping out of the room.

I flung open the door of the next room. It was Niall and Elle, who were entangled together. I made a silent 'aw' as I stepped up to the bed. I stuck my face super close to Elle's face and blew hard. Her eyes fluttered open, and she was immediately annoyed.

"Go. Away." She muttered, flipping over. I ran over to the other side and stared at Niall. I clambered onto the bed, lying across their sleeping bodies.

"What are you doing?" Niall's morning voice asked. His voice had an even stronger Irish accent, if that were even possible.

"You need to get up!" I said, hopping off of the bed. I ran out into the hallway, still running.

The next room was where Louis and Eleanor were sleeping. I ran up to them and began to scream and yell.

"GOOD MORNING SUNSHINES!" I screeched, grinning as Louis' fell out of bed.

"Wha-what's going on? What happened?" He said incoherently, his eyes half open. I laughed, sitting on the bed.

"Time to wake up, sleepyhead!" I called, smiling at Eleanor. She grumbled, her eyes squinting at me.

"But it's so early!"

"But we're in Hawaii!"

I ran into the hall, opening the next door. The bed was empty, with no Harry in sight. The bed sheets weren't even used. I cocked my head to the side in confusion, shutting the door.

"Hey, Liam? Have you seen Harry?"

"No, why? Is he not in the room?"

I frowned, stepping out of the hall. Then I spotted him. He was passed out on the couch, his body only half on the couch. His hair was brushed messily over his face as his upper half draped over the cushion. I laughed, stepping forward.

"Found him." I called, crouching next to his face. I got really close, grinning.

"WAKE UP!" I screamed, jumping backwards as he sprang up.

"AH!" He shouted, flipping over. His green eyes were wide as he stared straight at me.

"Why." He asked, frowning. I just smiled, walking away.

"Good morning, sunshine!" I called, grabbing the mug Liam had set up for me. As usual, I didn't use the handle. Liam laughed at me, and I frowned at him.

"The way you hold that mug, it's so silly!"

I looked at my hands and the way they were wrapped around the bright blue mug. I grinned, glancing up at Liam.

"I just don't see the use of the handle. It's more likely to drop and fall, then break. I figured that this was an easier, and safer, way to hold it." I smiled, taking a sip.

He shrugged, smiling. "Makes sense, I suppose."

The rest of our group filed in, their hair messy and their pajamas creased. I took another sip, grinning.

"Thanks for the wake up call." Louis grumbled, plopping into a chair.

"How are you so happy in the mornings?" Zayn asked, his eyebrows raising.

I shrugged. "I have no idea. Guess it's a lucky trait of mine."

"You know what we forgot to do?" Liam said, sitting in the chair next to mine. "We forgot to go to Costco! We only have tea and coffee that they supplied here!"

"NO!" Niall said, falling onto his knees. Elle joined him, her face broken. I laughed, taking another sip. Looks like Elle was getting over any type of problem she had before. At least I hoped so.

"Let's just go out for breakfast." Eleanor suggested.

"Genius!" Louis yelled, pecking her on the cheek. "Let's go!"

"Wait a minute, I have to get dressed, then do my makeup..." Perrie said, standing.

"Same here." I said, following her lead.

I changed into a pair of white shorts with a brown belt with a gray V-neck. I slipped on my bright blue Hollister flip-flops and stepped out of the room.

Eleanor stepped out of her room, smiling. She was dressed in a purple sundress and gladiator sandals. I smiled back, inviting her into mine and Liam's bathroom so we could do our makeup.

Perrie was next, dressed in a pair of shorts, a pink tank top and sandals.

Next came Elle, who was dressed in a pair of shorts and a white button up tank top with black wedges. We did our makeup together inside of the bathroom, talking and gossiping.

"So how was your night with Liam?" Elle whispered, Eleanor and Perrie piping up. I smiled, looking out the door to see if anyone was there.

"Fine. I slept well." I shrugged, hiding my blushing cheeks. Elle continued to put on her eye shadow before glancing at me again.

"I bet you did, it's not like you'd do anything, you nun." She snorted, dipping her brush in the powder for another stroke. I gasped, shushing her.

"Shut it, Elle!" I spat out, as Eleanor and Perrie giggled. I shook my head, smiling.

We all finished up our makeup, stepping out of the bathroom so the awaiting guys.

"Finally! We've been waiting forever!" Louis groaned, hopping off of the couch. The other boys nodded, as Louis rolled his eyes.

"Roll your eyes farther, see if you can find a brain back there." Elle scoffed, picking up her purse and walking along. Harry and Niall started to laugh hard, collapsing onto the couch. Eleanor, Perrie and I laughed as well, following after Elle.

We all piled into a rental car that Zayn bought for the days we were here, me going in the drivers seat. I stuck the key in, turning on the ignition. I smiled, forgetting what it was like to drive since I hadn't in so long.

"Why can't I drive?" Louis whined, stomping his way to the backseats.

"Because of three reasons. First of all, I have a license for the U.S. and you don't.  Secondly, the seat is on the other side, so you have more of a chance of crashing the car and killing us. Lastly, I'm probably a better driver." I said, smirking. Liam climbed into the passenger seat beside me.

"But, but, Amelia! When is the last time you drove anyways?"

I shrugged. "I dunno."

Harry's eyes grew wide, his smile disappearing. "You mean to tell us that you haven't driven in a long while?"

I paused, smiling. "Yep. That's what I'm saying."

He screamed, reaching for the door handle. "Get me outta the car!"

I locked it before he could open it, smugly turning around to his pouting expression.

"Everyone buckled up?" I called, turning around and placing my hands on the steering wheel. I received a few yes's, then one loud 'no' from Elle.

"I am not starting this car until everyone, and I mean everyone, Elle, is buckled up." I protested, crossing my arms. Elle reluctantly buckled, grunting.

"And we're off!"

I pushed on the gas pedal carefully, backing out of the driveway. I skillfully turned the wheel to avoid a palm tree, to a chorus of yells.

"You almost killed us!" Louis screamed, glaring at me through the mirror. I ignored him, and continued on driving.

"Turn on the stereo." Zayn suggested from behind. Liam reached forward and pushed buttons, first turning on the air conditioning.

"Ah! Why is there cold air blowing on my feet!"

Then the heater, putting it on full blast.

"Shit! You're burning my eyes!"

Finally he found the radio, accidentally turning it on as loud as it went. The speakers pounded, causing my heart to jump out of my chest. I screeched, along with everyone else.

"TURN IT DOWN!" Someone managed to yell over the music. Liam finally found the volume, turning it down. We all sighed in relief, relaxing.

I couldn't wait till we were safe at the restaurant.
