That Brunette And Me

Amelia just moved to Britain from a small town, after having a terrible relationship with a past boyfriend. She meets superstar Liam Payne, but can she get over heartbreak, the wrath of Directioners, and being in fame? Or will she break under the pressure?

6. Meeting The Boys

"Uh, maybe the black top?" I was Skyping with Elle, who was not being helpful with my clothing choices at all.

"What pants? The skinny jeans, or my boot cuts?" I asked, showing her my choices.

"Um, sorry all I can focus on right now is the fact that you're meeting ONE FREAKING DIRECTION."

"Well, it's true." I replied, frustrated. I walked behind the computer and threw on the black top and the skinny jeans. I walked back over and pulled on the light brown boots we decided on.

"Okay, let me get this straight; You're in London, having a TON of fun without me, meeting hot boys who just HAPPEN to be in the hottest boy band EVER, and you're worried about your clothing choices?"

I sighed, then laughed again. "You can visit anytime, darling!"

"Well, girl, I just might. By the way, I heard you right that he called you love, correct?" She gaped at me, her hand over her mouth overdramatically.

"Yeah, pretty intense for my first few days in Britain, huh?" I chuckled, scratching Bear's stomach. He licked me playfully and then jumped off the bed and went on his own doggy bed that I'd bought him.

"Yeah, I'm moving there. I just decided. Maybe I'll get pushed over by Daniel Radcliffe or something. I wouldn't mind having Harry Potter's number!" She joked, lifting a piece of popcorn into her bright pink lipstick lined mouth.

"Well, you're always welcome! But I ain't payin for no ticket!"

It took my 15 minutes to find his flat, but I made it just in time. My heart was practically jumping out of my chest by the time I made it to the giant building Liam called home. I walked up to the buzzer and pressed it bravely. I stood in the cold for almost 5 seconds when the door was flung open to a handsome boy with huge dimples. Harry Styles. I practically passed out.

"Why hello! You must be Amelia?" He said, reaching out his hand and smiling his signature cheeky grin.

"Yeah, that's me! And you are Harry. Harry Styles." I said, choking on my nerves. He laughed at my gawking face and tightened his grip on my hand, pulling me inside and onto an elevator. We were up to the landing in no time, a smooth elevator ride. My elevator was bumpy, rocky, and slow and I have a panic attack every time I go on it. The door opened to a smiling Niall and a plate with a slice of pizza.

"Would you like some pizza? I heard your American, and I'm pretty sure American's eat lots of pizza." He said, grinning at himself.

"Not all Americans eat pizza, silly!" I laughed, taking the plate gratefully nonetheless. Niall and Harry walked side by side with me and guided me to their living room, where Zayn, Perrie, Louis, Eleanor and Liam were sitting on the huge wraparound couch.

"Hello!" Louis said, jumping up and walking over to me to give me a small hug.

"Hi." I replied smiling, hugging him slightly back. Is this for real? I wasn't sure anymore. How could this possible happen to me?? I was just a ordinary girl from a small town, and here I was. With flippin' One Direction.

"'Ello!" Zayn said, wrapping his arms around Perrie, who smiled kindly at me. I waved back, grinning. Eleanor got up and pretty much pranced over to where I was standing.

"Amelia! Such a beautiful name! I'm Eleanor." she said, her voice practically twinkling. She reached her arms out for a hug.

"Thank you! I love the name Eleanor." I replied, returning her hug. I could see Liam slightly over her shoulder, and he was simply grinning at me.

"What are you looking at, Liam?" Niall kidded, bumping his elbow into Liam's side.

"Shuddup!" Liam hissed back, smiling.

"Sorry dear. The boys are very strange. They have absolutely no boundaries, they always act like this!" Eleanor whispered in my ear, chuckling slightly. She looked admiringly over at Louis, who in return swooped over and pecked her on the cheek.

"What fabulous thing are you saying about me now, babe?" Louis laughed, putting his arm gracefully over her small shoulders.

"Oh nothing, just how weird you are!" she replied, smirking.

"Says you!" he returned, tickling her side. She shrieked and turned around and tickled him back, or more like attempted to. I smiled and walked over to the couch. How adorable of a couple!

I walked over to Liam and took a seat next to him. "Hey."

"Hello, Amelia. Would you like something to eat? Or drink?" He replied, motioning towards the large kitchen.

"Nah, Niall gave me this piece of pizza. He obviously knows what us Americans loooooove!" I said jokingly, sticking my tongue out at Niall. He returned with his tongue sticking out as well.

"Hopefully they don't become too embarrassing..." Liam said, looking at Harry, who was currently brushing through his curls with a comb admiringly.

"How 'bout some T.V.?" Harry exclaimed suddenly, reaching for a remote. We ended up watching some stupid movie about some guns and armies. In the end, pretty much everyone was dead.

"That sucked." Zayn blurted out. We all nodded in agreement, so we changed it to Zombieland, which by the way was a whole bunch better. Pretty soon it was eleven.

"I better go, guys. Thank you so much for inviting me! This is one of the best nights I've had in a while, trust me." I said honestly, laughing and smiling. I hugged everyone, Harry squeezing me tightly, on purpose.

"Wait!" Liam said as I left his hug to turn to the elevator. He reached his arm around my lower back and led me to the elevator.

"Buh-Bye!" I heard as the door closed, and a few snickers from Niall. Liam ignored them and pressed the bottom button.

"Thanks Liam. That was really great." Retarded much, Amelia? He just invited you to meet famous celebrities. Like seriously!

"I'm glad you could make it."

I walked into the cold and turned to say bye. I was startled by Liam. He was standing very close behind, so close his breath was making warm puffs on my skin, giving me goose bumps.

"Bye.." I murmured. He leaned forward slightly, and I met him halfway in a kiss. It was minty, and when I pulled away my lips tingled.

"See you soon?" he questioned.

"Yeah, definitely." I stammered. He smiled and touched my face, tucking a lock of hair behind my ear. "Bye."

As I flagged down a taxi, I was in a daze. I was like that until I got to my apartment, and called Elle as promised.

"So how was it?" she squealed.

I could only sigh in return.
