*Amelia's POV*

This was going to be the day. I could feel it rushing through my veins, rattling my bones. I had to, and I was going to. I waited patiently for Liam to return, to wherever I was, so I could have some type of motivation. I was asleep for a very long time before I woke up right now, so I had a feeling I missed a whole day of Liam, Elle and others. It upset me, but I remembered doctors voices. They said quite clearly, that I was to wake up in the next few days. I was going to make that happen.

"Good morning, honey."

It was Liam, to my great excitement. He sounded so sleepy. I wished that he'd gotten more sleep, as I didn't want him to loose sleep over me! That would be silly! I moved my hand to show I was listening, hoping he saw it.

"Want me to talk to you? Is that what that was?"

I moved my hand again, determined to focus on his smooth, comforting tone of voice. Maybe he could pull me out of this. He paused, for some reason I wouldn't know anyways, and Elle joined him.

"Elle, wake up." He murmured quietly, his voice so nice and quiet, it made me want to cuddle up with a mug of tea with him on the couch. I wanted that desperately, and I wanted it right now.

"Hmm? Did I miss it?" Elle said, her voice tired as well. Did they sleep next to me? In my bed? That would be very odd. I ignored the questions in my head and focused on their voices. My focal points to getting out of this odd sleeping curse, or whatever.

"Well, I just need to talk to her. That's what she wanted, she told me. Kind of." Liam chuckled, touching my hand lightly. I swooned inside, wanting to grab his hand tightly and squeeze it until I couldn't anymore. I didn't, and I still couldn't. I wanted to sigh, my desperation getting worse and worse by the second.

"Well, yesterday something surprising happened. Well, actually two things. One, the doctors said-"

I didn't pay attention to the rest of his sentence, only focusing on his rambling tone of voice. I began to pull myself out of the imaginary pit, my head so foggy and incoherent that I couldn't remember why I was doing it in the first place, only that I absolutely had to, or else. Or else, something bad would happen. At least I was pretty sure.

I started to feel my eyes, they were shut so tight that they felt like they were pressing down on my eyelids. I focused on the other parts of my body, and soon my feet, legs, and up were pressing down on me with such a weight, I was almost out of breath. It must've shown outside of my mind, because the voice stopped talking, and started talking in a worrying voice. I ignored that as I groaned and squeaked into place, finishing the touches of my recovery. I was done. Finally, I was finished.

I rested like that for a while, almost afraid to open my eyes. I searched for the voices, who I remembered was actually my boyfriend and friends voices, and found them.

"Amelia? Can you still hear us?" It was my boyfriend. L-Liam. Yeah, Liam, that had to be it.

"Liam, I'm sure she can. She's just trying to get out of that-" It was my friend, Elle. Yep, that was it, Elle. Liam cut her off, though, his voice angry.

"I don't like that word. It's... frightening. You know?"

Elle was quiet, but I was guessing she agreed, because she never did finish that sentence. I knew it was time to open my eyes, and get back to living my life. I took a deep breath, and my eyes fluttered open, seeing Liam and Elle first, staring right back at me, open mouthed.

"Oh my God." Elle whispered, her eyes widening by the second. Both of their eyes filled with tears as I sat there, struggling to sit up and grin at them. I was back, and I could finally see their faces again.

"H-hi." My voice was scraggly and rough, hurting my throat. My hand shot up to my throat, and a bunch of wires were moved. A beeping noise was coming from the machine, which I soon realized was a hospital machine. I was in the hospital, again.

"W-w-water." I called out, still rubbing my throat as the painful words scratched their way out of my mouth. Liam stood, stunned, for a second, before going into action.

"Amelia, I've missed you so much. I'll get you water, we'll call the doctors, okay?" His voice was almost as tearfilled as his eyes and cheeks. I shook my head, smiling at him. Before Liam could even call the doctors, one of them burst in the door.

"Welcome back, Amelia!" He shouted, grinning from ear to ear. I had no idea who this man was., but he was wearing a white lab coat thing that doctors wear, so I was guessing he was my doctor. I looked for his nametag, but it was not visible.

"She wants some water, if that's alright." Liam said, his eyes never leaving mine. Tears escaped my eyes, making my nose a little runny.

"Ugh, you're already messing up my makeup job!" Elle complained, as the doctor left to go get a glass of water. I looked to her, confused. Makeup?

"S-sorry." I smiled, grabbing her hand. I had so much to tell her, like how she was one of the first people I figured out. Liam, on the other hand, was one of the last. I didn't know why, since he seemed so unforgettable right now. I would never forget his beautiful brown eyes, those lips, that birthmark on his neck. Yet, for some reason, I had. I'd forgotten them all, including myself.

"Here's some water, drink up!" The doctor said, then looked a bit embarrassed. "Sorry to say, but I can only have one person in the room right now as we do a quick checkup."

Elle stood up, smiling at me sadly. "I have to go anyways. See you later." She waved, stepping out of the room. Now, for the checkup. That would be easy-as-pie!
