1. What's going on

Starring at myself in the mirror I realize 3 things. Number one; I'm fat. Number two; I'm ugly. Number three; I will never be adopted.

There are people waiting down stairs. People I don't know who want to take a child home, though I would hardly qualify as a child. I'm 16. Yet I'm still under age so I'm stuck in this hell hole of an orphanage. I live in the attic. I know, very original. But I'm not joking. The owners of the orphanage thought they shouldn't waste a good room on a teenage girl with speaking issues. It's not that I have some disorder, I just choose not to speak. I never said a word and they eventually thought I was mute, though I'm far from it. I stopped talking the day my parents died, and haven't spoken a word since. I have some other issues too, such as a low self esteem.

Taking a deep breath I walk down the stairs, ready to face the fact I'm going to be rejected again.

HELLO!!! THIS IS THE FIRST BOOK I PLAN ON FINISHING!! YAY!! IM REALLY HOOKED ON THE PLOT OF THIS STORY SO EXPECT IT TO BE UPDATED OFTEN!! UNTILL NEXT TIME, MY LITTLE DUCKLINGS!!!
