4. The Light....................

Ill try to make the Chapters longer!!!!!

Niall's P.O.V:

I rang her parents afterwards, her Mum was a little, okay she was very angry with me. They were on their way, I hung up and went into her empty room and sat on the chair next to the bed. I checked my phone, it was half nine in the evening, the whole day went past, it went in a blur as I was drifting in out of my thoughts. It felt like only ten minutes ago when I hung up on Amelia's mother but yet she was standing there in the door talking, her mouth was moving but I couldn't hear a thing. Thats when I noticed the floor was getting closer to me, wait, I was falling.

When I woke up I was in an incredibly white room, the only thing that wasn't white was the wooden legs on the chairs and the flowers in a jug beside my bed, wait what? I looked around, a needle was stuck in my hand exactly where Milly's was, there was multiple needles stuck in my arms in all different places. I started to pull them out when my Mum rushed in and grabbed my hands, 'Where's Milly?' I thought I was saying it in my head but I musn't of bevause my Mum coolly replied, "Don't worry dear, she's okay." Thats when a doctor walked in and connected the leads into my arm, not noticing that I was wincing when she jabbed them into my arm.

Milly's P.O.V:

No matter how much I tried, all I saw was blindning light. Usually when people say turn away from the light they mean to stop walking towards it, but with me, I couldn't move my feet. When I turned, all there was was more light. Everywhere around me I looked, there was nothing but the blinding white light. It actually is hurting my eyes and my head, everytime I try to open my eyes, it hurts like hell. I try to squeeze my eyes shut but its almost as if they're closed already. On the rare occasions that I can move my legs, they only move from side to side, its weird. Its like I'm lying down, its unimaginable. But I do recall, I can't tell time and say how long ago but I woke up and I had a sharp stabbing pain in my head. I screamed and heard a man's voice, "More morphine! FAST!" Thats when I felt a sharp pain in my leg and thats when my head hit the pillow again, to be honest, I don't even know how I remeber that. I can tell you though, it was painfull as fuck. I fall back to sleep, when I wake I can feel all of my bones. Even my face, I smile and move around. Twisting my arms and legs, I then realise something. There's no pain in my head anymore, even my eyes feel fine. I test them, I peek through them a bit, no blinding light. I open them wide and look around, amazed at the beauty of colour. I see a woman with red puffy eyes sitting in the chair beside the bed, her face registers that I'm here and is filled with such joy that I can't help but smile, I probably just amde her day. "Amelia" She pulls me into a massive hug, she smells like a warm, lavender scented home. A man comes in, puffy eyed as well, holding two coffee cups. He drops them on the side-table and rushes over to join in the big hug, 'I just made his day as well' I think as I smile smugly to myself. Thats when a doctor walks in, and looks up. Shock registers all across his face, "In all my years here....... I have never seen such a.............." I look towards the woman who is know crying on my shoulder, I turn towards the man, "When can I go home, Dad?" He turns towards me with a big smile, what did I do? Then everything comes back to me..........

Niall's P.O.V:

When I wake again, no-one is in the room. I try to get up but I'm tangled in the stupid wires, 'God damn leads!' I cursed under my breath, I wrestled them off but didn't collapse this time, I walk out into the white ward. Nurses and doctors are tiredly rubbing their eyes and tsking swigs from paper coffee cups, must be morning time, I think as I walk down to Milly's room. Thats when a doctor I recognise starts distracting me by talking in his annoying proffesional voice, "Mr.Horan please come with me to your room, I need to discuss important matters with you." I take a glance in her room, she's not in her bed, thats when I nod and trudge after the doctor to my room. Once inside I sit on my bed and hide my head in my palms, "She's dead....She's dead...." I chant, he removes my arms from around my head and tilts my head up, "Niall? Amelia is not dead, in fact thats what I came here to discuss with you...... It has come to my attention that during the operation we had a problem, she woke up. Thankfully we had a heavy dose of morphine on hand which caused her to knock out immediatly. Thats when we realised that the decision we made was utter stupidity, we don't know how or why she survived as the operation was chronic, a total disaster. She woke up this morning, whethers you, Mr.Horan, fainted when Ms.Saunder's parents arrived during the operation. It has come to our attention that you seemed to have forgotten to eat, which causes people to see and hear things that  aren't there. But in your case, you didn't see or hear things that were there. We did have you connected to a drip feed but you resentlessly kept taking them off, awake or asleep. I suggest you get some sleep before I sign your discharge papers." With that, the doctor left, leaving me speechless behind him.
