36. There Can't Be Changed Anything Now

"Students, guests and staff, may I have your attention please?" Dumbledore tried to shut us all up.

"As today was the last day for registering for the participation in the triwizard tournament, I am going to announce the proud participators."

"I totally forgot!! Today's Halloween!" I gasped and recognized the fancy decoration in the hall.

"Good Morning, Galaxy!" Fred said ironic.

Dumbledore waved, as always, with his hand and the cup lit up. He walked towards the goblet and waited as the others.

Suddenly a little piece of paper flew out and the goblet lit up.

"Fleur Delacour!" He announced.

A girl with blond hair from the Beauxbaton school raised proudly and very graceful from her seat and walked more graceful towards the headmaster while the whole room was clapping. Dumbledore congratulated her and she went out by a little exit into a side room of the Great Hall.

Then we waited again. And the cup lit up again and a little piece of paper flew out.

"Viktor Krum!"

A broad Russian boy from the Durmstrang school went towards Dumbledore and he looked strangely at Hermione before he went out by the exit, as Fleur.

So, the big question was now, who will be honored to represent Hogwarts? And we all waited one last time, more eagerly than before.

The goblet lit up and a little piece of paper flew out.

"Cedric Diggory!" The headmaster announced proudly and the whole room applauded louder than the both times before.

Dumbledore congratulated him very heartly and then Cedric went out by the exit like the others did.

It was a happy, easy and exciting atmosphere when suddenly everyone looked at the again lit up goblet.

A thrilling tension was ascending the hall. Professor McGonagal stood up in disbelieve or rather fear of the upcoming.

A little piece of paper flew out, right in the hands of the headmaster.

I furrowed my brows. I thought only three can participate..., I thought.

"Harry Potter." Dumbledore read out in wonder.

Everyone was surprised and was talking to their neighbours.

"Harry Potter!" Dumbledore shouted his name in anger.

The room went quiet. Noone dared to move. We were shocked that Harry, a fourth person and moreover too young person, was called out and that the headmaster lost control in front of his pupils the very first time. Everyone wondered what was going on but I was scared of what will happen next. Fred, George, Ron, Ginny, Hermione and me just looked at each other and then at Harry.

Only Hermione said then: "Go!" and pushed Harry towards the headmaster.

Harry stood up and walked abit scared and confused forward. It seemed as if he drunk some alcohol, he walked that woozily. Then he went out with the three headmasters and Mr. Crouch, Professor McGonagal, Professor Moody and Professor Snape followed.

"He cheated!" Was heard in the hall and everyone accused him to be an arrogant turd who becomes a special treatment all the time.

Suddenly I stormed out the hall because I couldn't hear them insulting Harry. I didn't know him quite well yet but I was very sure that he was not a turd! And he definetely not becomes a special treatment!

They were so wrong and stupid!! Poor Harry.

I waited for the others in the Gryffindor common room. It didn't took long and everyone sat down beside me.

"I don't think he did this", I said plainly.

"We too!" the twins said.

"Yes, me too!" Ginny said.

"He can't because he was all the time with us! And besides, he is too young to cross the line Dumbledore hexed around the goblet! And to trick Dumbledore or his charms is impossible!!" Hermione exclaimed.

"Someone did it for him." Ron said angry.

"What? Ron, are you okay?" I asked him. He just looked at me stern.

"You honestly believe that he wanted to participate?" Hermione asked in disbelieve.

"Well, if he didn't want to participate he would be with us right now!" Then he stood up and ran to his room.

"Why is he jelaous?" I asked the group when he was gone.

"Because he wanted to participate very hard but he couldn't because he is too young. And seeing Harry participating although he is in the same age makes him angry and jelaous." Ginny tried to explain and I understood. In fact I understood something more, Harry is always in the spotlight and poor Ron is kind of his shaddow. He wanted some glory, too! I sighed.

"And what are we going to do now?" I asked then. But I hardly asked my question when Professor McGonagal entered the room. She looked very stern and worried. We all stood up and hoped she would tell us what happened.

She only looked sternly at me and ordered: "Miss Charmé, follow me!"

Firstly, I didn't believe what she said. But then I asked myself confused why should I follow her? Suddenly I felt guilty for nothing and I was scared something bad is going to happen. I looked at my friends scared and went after the old lady with my cat in my arms.

We walked to that side room where all the participants went after their names were called out. I still wondered why I was called there.

The double winged door opened slowly and revealed the scene bit by bit.

"You always believe someone is killing someone when suddenly something different, something unexpected happens!" Igor Karkaroff spitted at Moody who stood opposite of the Durmstrang headmaster. Both were having an argument right in the middle of the room. A bit left from them, near Karkaroff, Madame Maxime were watching them. I looked at her huge back when the door opened. Mr. Crouch was on the right side near Moody, half turned, so that I could see his left part of his face. He listened intensely. Professor Dumbledore turned his back to them all and was in the front of the room. Professor Snape was between Professor Dumbledore and Mr. Crouch on the right side and half seen in the dark.

The four students Cedric, Harry, Fleur and Viktor stood on the left where they watched the elder wizards and witches debating what to do now.

As the door opened everyone turned and looked at me. All people were silent now. I went the stairs down and went past the students. I noticed that Harry looked pale and that he had a sweat bead on his forehead.

"Did you do this?" Madame Maxime asked angry from above. I looked at her and was immediately scared. She was very big! Even bigger than Hagrid! And additional she was angry! Both were very big scare factors!!

"P-Pardon, Madame M-Ma-"

"Let me do this." My stammer was interrupted by the headmaster. He came through the crowd which was surrounding me like a semi-circle now. I felt very scared and bad!

"Did you put Mr. Potters name in the goblet, Miss Charmé?" he asked me. His blue eyes were staring and sparkling at me but the sparkle was not friendly and warm anymore.

"I-I don't understand what you mean, Sir." I said.

"How can't you understand?!" Igor Karkaroff shouted. I flinched.

"You put his name in the goblet after he asked you. Hence he can participate!" He continued shouting. His voice was echoing in the whole room which had a more scary effect. Dumbledore sighed.

"W-What?" I asked.

"Don't play tricks on us. We know exactly you caused that all. You want him dead because he is a competitor in your eyes, as the choosen one. " Moody said sneaky. I don't know what happened then, maybe it happened because of Moody and what he did before to me and Royalty, but I lost my temper.

I shouted very angry: "How dare you accusing me something that wicked?! If I want someone to die I won't shudder kill this person in front of everyone, in the daylight!" I answered dangerously Moody. Moreover, I didn't notice that I rose my wand and pointed at him. I saw fear in Moodys eyes and in Karkaroffs, too. The remaining people were surprised and shocked by my out burst and my statement.

Finally, Professor Snape had to push my arm down to prevent me harm someone. He seemed actually quite impressed by my action because the cornors of his mouth twitched shortly in amusement. Maybe he enjoyed it because I scared Moody and it was obvious that he didn't like Moody.

"Therefore I won't waste my time on planning some evil scenarios." I continued motivated by Snape.

"May I speculate who maybe did this?" I didn't expect someone to answer that's why I went on.

"Professor Moody you were too well aware of how to deceive the age line performed by the headmaster Dumbledore, don't you?" Professor Moody startled up and looked like he got caught. Everyone in the room looked at him then at me, wanting me to continue.

"What makes you assume this, Miss Charmé?" asked Mr. Crouch then.

"I mean, look, Professor Dumbledore is one of the strongest wizards in our world, no doubt, and his charmes are as well powerfull. Therefore a strong power and a very well skilled wizard is needed.

Well, Professor Moody is not only a very skilled wizard as an Aurora but he does also teach Defence against the Dark Arts. That's why he knows perfectly how to use dark magic which seems like the only solution to brake a charm hexed by Professor Dumbledore." I made a little pause to let them think about what I said.

"A perfect match, isn't it, Professor Moody?" I asked evily then. I wanted so much to thump him after what he did to me today earlier and I guess I did it then. He took a deep sip of his bottle to swallow his fear.

"Well...?" Professor Snape mentioned Moody to answer.

"I-I... She's... That's ridiculous! You don't believe her, do you, Albus? She is lying! She tries to revenge me for her silly cat!" I started to laugh. I must be seem mad.

"Professor, as I told you before, if I want someone to die I won't shudder kill this person in front of everyone, in the daylight." I repeated threateningly to Moody. He swallowed only in response. And took nervously a sip from his bottle again.

"Enough!" The headmaster exclaimed. Everyone went silent and looked at him but I glared at Moody.

"What do you suggest Minerva, Severus?"

"There is nothing to be suggested. The tournament can't be cancelled and there can't be someone subtracted nor added to the tournament. Therefore I would say let us be surprised, let us pray for the health and survival of the participants and let us wish a happy, fair and not tragic tournament. But most important let us get some rest, especially the participants. They really need it!" I interrupted both Professors who started to answer the headmaster.

"But, Albus, th-"

"Well, she is right." Dumbledore cut off Professor McGonagal.

"Isn't she, Severus?" He asked him then. I believe Dumbledore trusted Snape very much, as it seemed.

"Yes, headmaster." He said shortly. Only McGonagal looked disbelievingly.

I yawned in relief but also in exhaustment and said: "Well, I think, I need some rest, too. No wonder, it has been very late now and tomorrow there will be a tough day. I am going back to the dormitory and if you don't mind and I surely believe you won't mind, ladies and gentlemen, I am taking Harry with me, too. So, if you need our help and especially my suggestions you know where you can find us. Have a calm night and please Professors, get some sleep and don't over exhaust and over worry yourself. There can't be changed something now."

I tried to calm them down and grabbed Harry and went out.

But Mr. Crouch stopped us: "Please wait." We went back and stood opposite of Crouch.

"So, the tournament will take place, Albus?" The headmaster nodded.

"And this four young people will participate in it?" The headmaster nodded again.

"Well, that's just how it should be!" he made a pause and walked towards the other three pupils.

"I will now say something about your first task." I poked Harry towards the other attenders. They greeted him with despise.

"The first task should test your bravery and boldness." The four people started to thing what Mr. Crouch meant and listened intensly to his upcoming words.

"That's why you will get to know the task right before it will be hold in the end of November." Unfortunetely, noone got to know what the first task was about.

"And one last word, your only aid will be your wand!" Crouch continued misteriously his vague comment about the first task. Everyone in the room was thinking what the first task would be besides Crouch, of course, and Dumbledore.

"Miss Charmé, you may go now. And please take both, Mr. Diggory and Mr. Potter, back to the dormitory." Professor Dumbledore smiled at me finally and allowed us to leave.

"Good night, Professors." I nodded at all the people and smiled only at the headmaster.

But before I left them I did something strange, I pulled my right foot behind my left foot and curtsied to them all while I swang my right arm, like women did in the Middle Ages when they greeted someone or when they said good bye to someone.

I grabbed both boys while I turned around and left the place then.

Everyone walked quiet and noone spoke. As we nearly arrived the fat lady Cedric pulled Harry in a side alley. I followed them to see what the matter was now.

"How did your name got into the goblet?" Cedric asked. I sighed in annoyment and rolled my eyes.

"Gosh! We already cleared that back in the side room of the Great Hall, Cedric. Can't we just go back to our rooms and sleep?" I said narky.

"No, it is not cleared, Galaxy! You cleared only that you didn't put his name in the goblet and that the tournament will take part with four pupils. But you and the Professors didn't clear how Harry did this."

"I didn't do this Cedric!" Harry said angry.

"Come on, Harry. I won't tell anyone, I swear!!" Cedric tried to convince him for something that even Harry didn't know.

"I did nothing!" Was the last sentence when Harry stormed away, towards the Gryffindor common room. Cedric looked disappointed and angry.

"Maybe we should follow him and go back to our common rooms, too?" I gestured with my hand towards the fat lady. He sighed and also stormed away. So both boys leaving me there, in the side alley, allone. I shook my head disbelievingly and went after them. How charming boys can be!!
