39. Poison

"You have to promise me, no swear to me that you won't tell anybody, any soul, about this!" I said to my five friends.

"Please... no one" I begged. They all nodded and looked haggardly.

Uncomfortable silence.

"We brought you your meal. Because you didn't eat today. But it's cold by now." Hermione sighed.

"But we can rehash it." Ginny suggested.

I thought of flames and snapped with my fingers then and a little blue flame was in my palm when I opened it. I moved quickly above my soup and beans to make them warm again. Finally, I blew the flame out like a candle.

"Galaxy, how did you do this?" Ginny asked stunned. I didn't realized what I did. It was a subliminal action. It felt like I was used to it.

"I don't know ..." I furrowed my eye brows.

"I will try to find a book about wandless magic and maybe we can find something more about you." Hermione said. I nodded.

"But for now eat your lunch before it gets cold again." I took the spoon and started the soup.

"And you all already ate?" I asked

"We ate that much that we could roll to our next period." Fred said. Everyone giggled.

"Apropos next period, ours will start in 10 min. Galaxy." Hermione said admonishingly. One huge sigh formed of the sighs of all in the room. Typical Hermione!!

My Friday and my whole weekend was terrible because of my blood color and my vision in Divination. Nevertheless, studying kept me distracted. And Monday came and went by quickly.

But Tuesday was very tough. Mad-Eye Moody caused my head to hurt by scaring me and Snape my stomach by poisoning me!

"Now, before you start your terrible brewing today, I will try out my antidote on one of you silly students which I made last week during this pathetic periods." Professor Snape looked around.

"An antidote for what?" someone asked.

"Good question and 7 points off Ravenclaw for speaking without permission. An antidote for poison which I brew. Any volunteers?" He stopped in front of Harry.

"Potter! Come!" He ordered and Harry obeyed.

"Take this, the poison." I swallowed.

"Don't drink this, Harry. Don't drink this, Harry. Don't..." I thought.

But Harry had no choice, he had to drink it.

I rose from my seat quickly.

"I will volunteer myself!" I nearly shouted. Harry stopped. Everyone in the room looked at me as if I would be insane. Well, which was kind of right. Even Hermione said that I should sit down quietly and quickly. But I didn't.

Right then a small boy with a camera around his neck entered the room excitedly but when he realized that he interrupted the portion professors lesson he got pale.

"I-I am s-s-sorry Prof-fessor S-s-Snape, b-but the ch-champions are called f-for the p-p-press f-fotocall." The poor boy barely spoke clearly.

Now everyone looked at Harry and he looked at the professor, asking for his permission. Snape dismissed Harry by raising an eyebrow impatiently and Harry fled out of the room.

"Thank god!! Now he don't have to drink poison anymore."

"As for Potter, he got a pretty excuse and got rescued by a little boy with speaking problems, we have to fall back on the second volunteer, Miss Charmé." The blood from my face went away and I got dizzy.

"Shit!" I thought.

I walked slowly towards Snape and cursed me for volunteering myself. But some kind of excitement rose from my belly and I hoped maybe that Professor Snape would be somehow impressed by me after drinking poison. Oh god knows what I would do for Snape and drinking poison was one of the very little things of them!

Standing nervously and hopefully in front of Professor Snape I bit my lip and blushed. I looked quickly down on the floor.

"Take this." He held out a little vial with violet liquid. Then I remembered when Moody used the unforgivable charm on me and how close Professor Snape was when he tried to give me the strengthening portion. His hand with the vial was that close then that it nearly touched my lips. I sighed mentally.

"Miss Charmé, we all are waiting of your awake from your daydreams." Snape called me back to the present.

"Oh, you are bestowing us the honor of coming back here to the classroom. Thank god I don't have to pour the poison down your throat." He was alluding to that incident I thought a few moments ago and blushed even more.

The Slytherin students started to laugh. Someone blew a loud whistle.

"Someone's in love with our professor! But he has to break your heart because he will never love a Gryffindor!" More laugher and there I just wanted to be eaten by the ground I was standing on. I took the vial from his hand shakily and very embarrassed, he as always took care of no physical contact. I opened it and smelled it. It smelled very bitter and there I doubted this experiment for the first time.

I cough slightly and took all my courage.

"What if it doesn't work?" I asked fast and quietly.

"What? The poison or the antidote?"

"Both", I said quickly unsure of which one I meant.

"Well, if the poison didn't work... That's impossible! But if the antidote didn't work, then you are poisoned." He said as it was the most obvious thing in the world. I swallowed.

"Oh-oooh! That is not good."

"Now drink and don't waste more of my time!" I drank a quick but big sip of the bitter liquid. I almost spitted all out.

Everyone looked at me curious and I looked only at Professor Snape. A few seconds passed by but nothing happened.

"Why is she not lying on the floor?!" This question was of course from one of the Slitherin pupils.

"What do you feel?" Snape asked between gritted teeth. I hesitated.

"What do you feel?!" he asked again and more harsher.

"N-nothing." He looked in the class again and said a name.

"Crabbe!" A fat boy stood up and came in the front of the class. I remembered that he used to hang out with Draco. He shivered. Maybe because of Snape but when he looked at me, he shivered more. I wondered why. I felt bad.

"Did I do something bad to him?"

Professor Snape whipped away the vial from my hand and gave it to Vincent. He took half a sip of it very scared and fell to the ground.

Everyone gasped and I looked wide eyed at him. Professor Snape poured an other liquid down his throat and slowly after 5 seconds Vincent was awake.

"Bring him to Promfrey!" Snape ordered.

"Class dismissed. Charmé, stay!" He said. I waited until everyone left and I promised to Hermione to tell her everything what happened.

I moved closer to the professors desk.

"Yes, Sir.?"

"Don't play the innocent little girl who doesn't know what is happening!" I blinked. I didn't expect that!

"You know exactly about your powers and magic. Don't fool me! I don't know how you are fooling Dumbledore but you can't fool me!"

"I am no-"

"Quiet! I didn't allow you to talk stupid prat!" I went quiet.

"Now listen to me very carefully, stop being two-faced. You don't know what is coming and how powerful it will be. Therefore there is no time for playing games!" He didn't quite noticed it but I did. He moved closer and closer to me by every word and now he was that close that our noses may touch every moment. I swallowed. His beautiful eyes looked into mine, searching for something.

"You may go now." He turned around dramatically and looked after his portion he was brewing.

I slowly dared to move and turned around to walk to my seat where my stuff was. I took them and started to go when he said: "I won't give you extra lessons after school. But because of playing tricks on me you will get detention. Thursday at 10pm with the games keeper."

"But you have to ask Dumbl-"

"Did I allow you to speak?" He cut me off rudely again. "You are dismissed."

I stormed out the doors. Anger and disappointment were forming in my stomach.

"How dared he to talk to me like that? Who on earth does he think he is?!"

Tears of anger blurred my vision.

"And saying he won't teach me anymore but giving me detentions yet ... that arrogant asshole!!! And for what?"

Tripping over something I fell to the ground.

"For my freakiness."

I cried ... and not because of anger.
