29. Memory In The Bowl

"Albus! You put her in the pensieve, don't you? She doesn't know anything about magic! How could you! Look at the poor girl! She was just dismissed by Pomfrey!" Suddenly I took a deep breath or rather I was made to do so and the water was spitted out by my mouth when I breathed out. I coughed a few times and then I felt someone picking me up by my shoulders and leading me to the chairs.

I was still absent.

I breathed heavily and my mind was thinking: "What happened and how did that happened? And who was that boy? And what does this all mean?"

Then I felt Royalty against my legs and I heard his voice in my head: "Galaxy! Are you alright? Look at me!" I searched for him at the ground near my legs and looked right into his green eyes.

"Who was this boy?" he asked.

"You was there too?" I asked him confused.

"No, but I saw it through your eyes." He said.

"What?" I asked loudly. Then Royalty jumped up on the desk and spitted at the headmaster.

"What did you do?" Royalty asked him but I was only able to hear him. I jumped up and picked Royalty in my arms.

"What are you doing? Are you mad?! He is the headmaster!! Behave properly!! How could you? I respect him very much! And don't you make me feel ashamed in front of a wise and very strong man!!!" I said very angry at Royalty. I wasn't shouting because my voice was in general very high and that's why it hasn't much capacity for more higher sounds. Royalty was moving-in his tail and he looked at the ground with slackly ears.

"I am sorry, Galaxy. I didn't want to disappoint you. I was just trying to help you."

"Well, then you didn't help me at all! In fact you made more problems! Apologise!" I said and he lifted his head.

"Apologize to him?" he asked.

"Yes!" He looked one last time at me and then he jumped at the desk again but this time more crestfallen.

He shuffled with his feet while he grumbled something ununderstandable for others but for me it was understandable: "I am sorry, headmaster." Then something very unexpected happened. Dumbledore stroke Royalty!

He said then to him: "Don't take it very heartly, my dear. She was just over exaggerating. I wasn't bothered at all. Now you can go." I looked at them both disbelievingly. Royalty pattered happily back and looked at me funny. He was somehow smiling.

"See that?" he asked and moved his head in the direction of the old man.

"Just shut up!" I thought in my head bitterly. He chuckled.

"You saw that, don't you Minerva?" Dumbledore asked then out of nowhere. I was even surprised that someone else was in the office now. I didn't really had time to notice my surroundings after I was out the bowl.

"Yes, I did. And it is very interesting. I will work on it!" I looked at the old lady for the first time today and I wondered what she meant by that.

"Good evening, Professor McGonagal. When did you -" "Good evening, Miss Charmé! I just arrived when you was on the floor, in front of my feet." She interrupted me.

"Oh..." I nodded and remembered what happened.

"What was that, headmaster?"

"It was a memory of mine. It was before the first war. And this boy grew up in front of my eyes to a very evil person. It was his destiny to bring darkness to our world. And yours is to bring light to us." he answered. I looked at him not knowing what to say.

"And what is his name?"

"Tom Riddle, or He-who-must-not-be-named or Lord Voldemort."

Then something clicked in my head and I realised: "What did you called him?" I asked again.

"Tom Riddle......... He-who-must-not-be-named............ and... Lord Voldemort." he saw that I was on a track but didn't say anything.

"Lord?" I looked at him and waited for his reaction but there was no. That's why I went on.

"He is the Lord an-a-and I am the Lady-" my voice broke off but I gathered myself somehow and continued: "That means that-that I am suppose to be his-his enemy or... his ... companion." The last part was only a bare whisper. I backed off and sat back down on the chair. I was paralyzed by the thought to be his companion and that scared me. I never wanted to hurt or harm anyone then how could I be HIS companion. My wide opened eyes watered and I couldn't hold back my tears, my tears of fear.

"You won't hurt anyone, Galaxy. Never! I am reasuring you that I won't let that happen!! I won't!" Royalty spoke to me and relaxed me abit. I sniffed. I nodded and thought

"Thanks, Ro."

Then after a while the headmaster stood up and sat next to me.

"Galaxy, what makes you belive that you will be rather his companion than enemy?" he asked and brought me back to that painful feeling.

"I-I don't know... Maybe that thought that-that he is the Lord, a male, and I am the Lady, a female and generally rulers have to marry each other because they are from the same status and that is the formula for a successful leadership. An-And I think ... now... that... he wants to have a successful leadership ... obviously... there is no doubt... and ... that's why he-he send his followers after me." I said horrorfied.

"Do you want to be his... companion?" I shot him an unbelieving stare.

"Sir?" I said in a very high and squeling voice. I raised from my seat.

"A-Are you... you... really... ?" I couldn't continued because of my disbelieve.

"Do you really expect that from me, Sir?!" He stood up and sighed.

"To be honest, I don't know exactly what I am expecting from you." he said disconsolated. I was surely indignant by his view of me, joining a monster which brings pain and sadness to the world!!

"Sir, to be honest, I am very-" Then I heard the office door open and some dull, determined, quick and heavy steps came from my back.

"You called me, headmaster." A familiar, deep, masculine vioce said and calmed me down as it happened not too long ago.

"Ah, Severus! Good timing! Please sit down." Dumbledore was talking to this man as if he wasn't talking to me so worried.

"I stay." I turned my head to the left. The man in dark robes looked sternly at the headmaster and never looked anywhere else.

"Well, then, Miss Charmé was saying something. Yes, Miss Carmé, please continue." I looked at him and then at the other man who looked at me now. His dark eyes were staring at me and I believed that they will burn holes in my face. We stared at each other and then he rose one eyebrow, showing me that he was waiting for me to continue.

"Galaxy, wake up! We are waiting!" Royalty brought me back.

The headmaster chuckled and Professor McGonagal clicked with her tounge. I cleared my throat and I realized how stupid I looked and tried to think what I was talking about. But I couldn't.

"You were talking about, 'how could he think that I will join such a monster!' " Ro helped me. "Thank you!" I whispered.

"Headmaster, to be honest, I am very offended by your view of me. I will never join him. Never! I can't join a monster who brings pain and suffering to innocent people. Only a broken and ill character will join him! But not me!!" I tried to put so much feelings and emotions in this words which I felt before the strange man came but I failed because the presence of this man brought me out of my concept. I even wanted to say something else!

"But I have more questions." I said out of no where and I looked at the headmaster.

"How am I supposed to learn everything in such less time? I heard from Hermione that I will attend every class and subject from the first year and from the advanced years. How will I manage that, Sir? Isn't this abit to much for me?" The man in black robes snorted and irritaded me.

"Very wise and clever taught of you. That's why I called Professor McGonagal and Professor Snape. They will give you extra lessons and support in their subjects. Moreover, Professor McGonagal will be responsible for you as a houseteacher because you sleep in the Gryffindor's dormitory. But remember, you don't belong to any house. And Severus, keep that in mind, you can't take off points from her. But if you do then the points will be decreased from every house, Slytherin included." The strange man sniffed only.

"And Miss Charmé, you will be teached by Professor Snape Monday to Friday after your dinner and other classes privately to give you the oppotunity to learn more about our world and ask questions if anything is unclear. Because there will be lots of questions and unfortunately I won't be able to give you very much time. But Severus is the best for you and you are the best for him!" He chuckled again and confused me. I looked at him and then at Professor Snape who curled his lip.

"But, Albus, it would be better if I teach her not Snape. She is in my house!"

"Oh, don't you see me as competent as Albus does, Minerva?" The man spoke the second time only and his deep voice sent me a shiver through my body. Somehow, I liked it.

"No! I don't see you as ... the right person who can guide her correctly." The two adultery Professors were arguing in front of me. Here I saw the competition and rivalry of Gryffindor and Slytherin the very first time which was not the last time, for sure!

"I took my decision very considered and I am with a strong conviction that Severus is the right person of us all, he is even better than me in this case." The headmaster winked at me and looked at the Professors.

"You may all go now. I think it's already late and Miss Charmé needs some rest before her first school day." There was only a 'Yes' in respond.

"And Severus, show her your office hence she knows where to find you. And afterwards you will escort her to her dormitory." I saw from the expression that Professor Snape was not at all enlightened to do so but he had no other choice.

"Yes, headmaster." He said quietly and through his clenched teeth. I was somehow feeling unwelcomed and unwanted and I was thinking of how to please everybody and not being a big problem.

"You may go now." Dumbledore said at the end.

"Headmaster, Sir, I have one last question. May I am allowed to ask, please?"

The headmaster smiled broadly and said: "You may but I hope it won't be a tough one." He giggled and made me smile too.

"How did you know that I was behind the door before I came in or even knocked?" "Because there is always a jingle of bells around you. And you smell beautifully like roses, lavender and fennel." I nodded and thought of smelling me when I was alone to assure this and I thought of that noise.

"The ringing must be of my ankle chains and the smell... I don't know... maybe from my wand. Speaking of the wand! Thank you very much for it. It's ... very special and I love it!" I smiled excitedly at the wise man and I wanted to hug him but I left the hugging out. He was actually my headmaster!

"A very nice one." Royalty added.

"You are welcome, Galaxy. And now off you go! Severus is already getting mad." He chuckled and winked at me for goodbye.
