17 Year old Ashley hasn't ever had a childhood. She spent most of it taking care of her little sister, Amelia. Before that, her and her sister were abused by her step dad when their mother died. Now that Ashley's in school, she's had a unwanted, sexual abuser. She doesn't know his name, his age, his reasons for hurting her like he has been. All she knows is if she tells anyone, or if she doesn't do exactly what he tells her too. He'd kill her. Her whole life she's only felt harm, hate and beatings from the male species, that is until Niall. No male has ever been so gentle with her. She gets caught up in what she thinks is her trying to protect and take care of her little sister that she forgets to take care of herself. Can Niall help her with all this damage she's been forced to live through? Or will she shut him out like everyone else in her life.

32. My Happily Ever After

Ashley's POV:

Hmm.... The sweet summer air. So pleasant and refreshing. Though I know I won't be able to enjoy it for long, so I soak up as much as possible. My hair is down as I lay upon the beach towel in our huge backyard. Then, noises muffle my ears, filling them with the soft laughter of Hunter and Niall. I giggle. "Shh.... Mommy's hiding...." Niall whispered as I stayed hidden in the long, tall grass. "Sh-Sh-Sh-She is?" Hunter stuttered. "Yes, now let's go and find her." He laughed at his son. I couldn't help it, but I had to sneeze. "*Achoo!*" Niall and Hunter gasped. "Th-This way, d-daddy!" My beautiful four year old boy yelled. "Ready?" Niall whispered as they got closer to me. "One." He said. "T-T-Two." Hunter followed. "THREE!!!" "Ahh!" I jumped and they both cracked into fits of laughter. "Hunter, you scared me!" I smiled. "M-M-Mommy! Me and d-d-d-daddy g-got you!" He stuttered. Niall frowned. "His speech therapist says he's doing fine, Niall." I quietly explained. Niall sighed. "Hey bud, why don't you go wake your sister for me and come back out, okay?" Niall said. Hunter nodded. "O-O-Okay D-Daddy!" He said, and next thing I know I'm in my husband's arms, sitting on his lap, as he nuzzles his nose in my hair. "Are you sure he's getting better? His stuttering seems to be affecting him in school..." Niall said, as worried as ever. Oh, my poor Niall. "Yes, I'm positive Niall." I reassured him. "It's just- I had that same stutter when I was little and- It was hard." Niall said in nearly a whisper. "I know Niall, but hey, he's only four, and he's happy and healthy. What more could we ask for?" I said, he looked at me and smiled his oh-so-freaking-charming smile. "You're so beautiful." He whispered to me. "And so is your daughter." He added, I blushed my usual scarlet red. "You know, Hunter is just like you. His blonde hair, his rosy red cheeks, and his eyes. He's baby Niall." I rubbed my nose against his. He smiled. "Ya tink?" He said, Irish accent and all. "Yes, oh and, he talks like you, too." I kissed his lips. He laughed. "Good, I want a little Irish in 'em." He kissed me passionately. "MOMMY! DADDY! EW!" Our daughter Arabella, also known as Hunter's twin sister, runs over to us. Niall bursts out laughing. "Hi Ara...." He grins and pulls her onto his lap. "Have a good nap?" He asks, pulling all his attention toward her. I smiled at Hunter. He flashed me a wink. I gasped, and then cracked up. "Did daddy teach you that, Hunter?" I said between fits of laughter. He nodded excitedly, I looked over at Niall who winked back at me. "That's too cute, boys. Isn't that cute, Ara?" I tickled her, she squealed. "Ah! Mommy!" She gasped for air. "You wanna go on a walk?" Niall asked them, they nodded. "Alright, go grab some shoes and we'll be inside in a second." He patted her butt and she ran off with her brother, racing to the door. "She's just like you." He said, more to himself. "Is she, now?" "Yes." He turned toward me and kissed me. "She's quiet, and strong, and beautiful as hell." He rubbed his nose against mine. "I can't believe they're turning five tomorrow." I said, smiling like an idiot. "I know, best five years of my life." He whispered. Then, I started to giggle. Started to remember years ago when we were still in school, what everyone used to call him, his 'Nickname'. "What?" He asked, taking notice in my giggle. "Oh, nothing." I said. "Tell meeeeeee...." He wined. "Okay, okay, well, when we were in school-" "Uh huh...." He said. "Nobody really knew your name, so, they all thought of a nickname for you." I said. "Oh really? And what was that?" "Well... We called you Blondy." I said.

"Blondy, you say?"

"I like it."
