6. Chapter 6

Amelia's POV:

"Amelia, Amelia wake up. Amelia we're here..." I heard a light, soft voice tickle my eardrum. "Mmm..." I moaned, still wanting to stay asleep. "C'mon Amelia," Ashley tried carrying me, sadly, as my body's grown more to her height and weight, she hasn't been able to lift me as well as she used to when we were little. "Here, I got it." A deep, husky yet soothing voice came upon my attention. I felt a warm pair of strong arms cradle me as if I was a young child being shifted from room to room by her father. I've never experienced such safety in my life. His hands were so strong, his chest so warm, his humming tune so soothing. I smiled at the feeling. I felt as if nothing could hurt me, I trusted him. I trusted the blonde headed boy my sister came to fancy. He was nice, he was gentle. He didn't hurt my sister. Not emotionally or mentally. "You can just set her down here, she can walk up the stairs. It's fine." I recognized Ash's nearly silent voice, which I know she's been told to speak up with many times before. It surprised me Niall understood her faint sound waves, he must have amazing hearing. "It's alright, I have her." -Those words soothed me. 'I have her.' No male has ever 'had me.' The only person who's taken care of me my whole life has been Ashley. She tried her best but it sadden me when her best wasn't enough. When she would struggle to juggle school, work and taking care of me. Suddenly, the feeling of falling out of Niall's arms frightened me as he missed a step. Both of our grips' tightened to one another as we felt the urge to hold on. Not a second later, he regained his balance. I wiggled my eyes open to find Ashley with her hand over her mouth. Niall chuckled. "Ashley... I have her." He repeated his words to calm us both. She relaxed her shoulders. "Okay." From the looks of it, Ashley trusted him as well. It made me think. Maybe he was just a 'trustable guy'. -That or me and Ashley are just too much alike. "Niall, isn't that your bed?" Ashley asked, again being as silent as a mouse. Niall laughed. "Yes," He stated. "Oh, Niall she doesn't need that it-" "Ashley, it's alright. I don't mind. Please, let me take care of you both. I just want her to be comfortable." His words; the way he used them. It was so honest. There wasn't a better way he could've put that. 'Let me take care of you'. I guarantee Ashley's never heard that before let alone believed it. She has always had trust issues, as have I but we've never had a problem about it. We kept to ourselves and completely shut out the world. "Sleep tight hun," A soft pair of lips gracefully brushed my head. Niall was so soft, Ashley snagged a good one. "I can't thank you enough, Niall." Ashley's voice trembled softly. "You don't have to." He said. My eyes were shut though I felt a smile appear on both of their faces. I decided to roll over and take a peek, for no reason at all, guess I'm just nosy that way. "I want to." Ashley quietly spoke, respecting that I was sleeping. "And I want to help-" "Niall. If your going to help, I have to repay you somehow." They both pushed their generosity upon one another. "Fine." He chuckled. "Man, you just don't give up, do ya?" He rubbed the back of his neck. She giggled. Giggled?! For my whole life, I've never heard Ashley 'giggle'. She was never a 'giggler'. She despised the 'gigglers'. "Um- So you want to repay me?" He asked softly. She nodded. He coughed and cleared his throat. "You could kiss me." He said blushing. She stood shock, chilling shivers running through her stone cold body, the feeling of being pressured caused her to go in panic mode. "It's late." She said with her usual quiet tone as she dashed of the room, leaving Niall blushing and probably guilty as hell. "Dammit." He cursed. "Niall." I whispered as quietly as Ashley does. He turned his head. "I thought you were sleeping?" He asked. I shook my head. "Oh, well you should get some rest-" "She really likes you, you know?" I reassured him. Causing a tint of rosy red to crawl back onto his cheeks. "I-I-I don't think so..." He said looking at his lap as he sat on the bed beside me. "Niall, she let you carry me up here. If she trusts you with me, then she certainly trusts you with everything else." I said. He smiled. "Hm..." He smirked. "Trusting someone and taking a fancy in them are two very different things, babe." He said, assuming he was smarter than me. "Not with Ashley, its not." I stated, proving him wrong. "Weather she takes a liking in me or not, I've blown it now." He pouted. I grasped his shoulder. "She's been through a lot, Niall, probably more than your aware of. And, she just needs time, and in time, I guarantee she'll pull through. But trust me on this one, alright?" I said. He laughed. "Alright, kiddo. Did you know you and your sister sound just alike?" He said as a complement. I chuckled; seems as if his charm isn't only affective on Ash. "Guess so. And one more thing," I got his attention. "Don't fuck with her." I stated, completely serious. He laughed at first- "Niall, I'm serious." He brushed his fingertips on my face before pulling a long stran of my hair out of the way, then softly placing his forehead against mine, he whispered- "I would never do anything to hurt either of you. That is a promise, Amelia." "I knew you wouldn't" I smiled. "I just wanted to see how you were under pressure, and by the looks of it. Your not half bad, Horan." I joked. He laughed at my humor. "Hey, wait- How do you know my last name?" He asked. I pointed to his guitar in the corner that said 'Property of Niall Horan'. "Good eye, girl." He ruffled my locks before leaving me in his cozy, safe, warm bed where I rested my head on his soft pillow. Having loving filled dreams instead of my usual cold covered nightmares.
