In The End {One Direction}

Louis was never ok with Niall's relationship with Marcie. He liked her, but there was nothing to do about it. After an almost-death happening with Niall, Louis finds the chance to escape his problems. Is this chance going to break everyone, or will it help him find his way?

2. Tears

Marcie's POV

Happy tears mixed with sad tears as my face was hidden in Niall's neck. He hugged me tighter as my tears grew louder and louder. I just, I just couldn't. Louis always thought about living life. Always talked about his dreams, what he wanted to do in the future, and now he's gone.

I removed my face from Niall's neck, to find him crying as well.

"Marc, everything is gonna be alright, I'm here now. I want to forget everything in the past. Pretend that this is a new chapter in our lives." he said in a low tone. After a year of not speaking, he was weak. He hadn't eaten in forever, talked to anyone, nor seen the light that shined.

"I know Niall, I missed you so much, but how are we gonna tell the boys?"

"We'll tell the boys together. Remember how unstoppable we were when we we're together?" he had a confidence in his voice.

I nodded to his comments and asked one of the nurses for the paperwork I would need to fill out in order to check Niall out of the hospital. I gathered all my belongings from the room and pushed Niall out of the room.

The doctor told us to let Niall rest for a few weeks and suggested we let him stay in the hospital until he made a full recovery, but he refused.

I still had tears in my eyes as I thanked the doctors and nurses for all their prayers, help and support.

The both of us took in the scent of the air, it being the first time in the light in forever. It was still early.  The same sun, same sky. My car was still parked outside, the trees looked the same, the snow on the ground resembled the frozen sparkles that flew to the ground last winter. Everything was still the same, it just didn't feel the same.

"Come on dear, we gotta do this soon." he encouraged me as I helped him into the car. More tears burst out as I did. He was still so weak. He had lost so much blood, and was the only remainder of Louis we have left. "Marcie, why are you crying? Everything is gonna be ok."

"Niall, how do you know everything is gonna be ok? This whole thing is my fault. If I hadn't fought with you that night, you wouldn't have almost died, and Louis wouldn't have volunteered for your surgery and he wouldn't be dead right now." I tried keeping my voice sustained and calm so I wouldn't overwhelm him, but I think my crying did so already.

As I pulled out of the hospital parking lot, I saw Louis' car. The car would remain there forever until one of the boys would get it. I stopped at the stop sign and put my hands on my face, covering the remainder of tears that would flow down.

"Marcie, do you want me to drive? It seems like you're gonna break down."

"No Niall, you're still under all that medicine the doctors gave you, you can't drive yet. I'm fine, I promise."

Louis' POV

After this operation, everything is going to be normal again. Marcie will remain in love with Niall, Niall will remain in love with Marcie. One Direction will make a come back and everyone will be happy again. Except, I don't want things to be normal. I'm tired of being a third wheel around them. I'm tired of feeling miserable everyday. Thankfully, mum works at the hospital. She will completely understand. I called her and told her what I was gonna do. She agreed and told the doctor the plans.

The operation, was successful of course, but before Niall could wake up, I sneaked out the back door, but I swear, I knew he saw me.

I guess it was time to start my life over. I'll come back for my car soon, but for now, everything had to be planned out perfectly.

"Good luck Louis, I hate that you're doing this, but I've never stopped you in your dream process, so I'm not gonna start now. I love you Louis." My mom told me as I left.

Before turning the corner to rush across the street, I could hear cries. It was Marcie crying. It breaks my heart knowing I'm doing this to her, but she's with Niall, she's happy. It was too late for me to turn back anyways, I had my bus money and trecked off.

I ran over to the bus, and in the distance, could see her still crying. Before I got on the bus, I had to speak my final message.

I flinched as I knew I would never return,  the tears streamed down my face.

"Goodbye Marcie, I love you..."
