31. The End

Okay, so I ended up writing the last chapter and loving it so much that I couldn't keep it from you all. Thank you so much for being so supportive. This last chapter makes me cry. I cried the whole time writing it. I hate to see Addicted coming to an end, but it was just so great to write, and I couldn't drag it on any longer. Please look out for the sequel. I will post when I know what it's called, and when it is out. Later on, I will post the synopsis. Please keep liking this novel though, as I want the world to see it, for it means a lot to me. I can't stop thanking you guys though. You really are the best, and you have helped me through so much, and this novel has too. Enjoy!

No One’s POV

Heads turned as five boys pushed their way through the line. But people moved aside anyways, even though the line was long, because they recognized who they were dealing with.

“Excuse me sir you can’t just—Oh.” The woman at the front desk gasped when she saw that Harry Styles was standing in front of her in a tuxedo. And not far behind him was the rest of his band.

“Is there a way that I can get to the gate of the flight that is to Vancouver?” Harry said, hastily. He was out of breath, tired, still hungry, and still heartbroken, but nothing was going to stop him from at least trying to get Emily to listen to him.

“I’m sorry Mr. Styles, but we can’t just let you through security. You are going to need to buy a ticket.” The woman looked terrified to tell Harry Styles that he had to purchase the ticket. But he just huffed, handing her his credit card.

“Fine then. Five tickets to Vancouver.”

            “Alright then.”

“But miss?” Harry leaned over the counter, flashing his best smile, “Is there any way we could be rushed through security? I can’t miss her.” Luckily enough for Harry, this woman was a huge fan of One Direction and she knew exactly what was going on. With Emily leaving, Harry in a tuxedo and a pleading face, she could out two and two together.

“I’m sure I can manage something, Mr. Styles.” She grinned at him.

“Call me Harry, please.” He thanked her with another dazzling smile.

“Alright boys, here are you tickets. Follow Tom here, and you’ll be at the gate in no time.”

“Thank you so much, misses.” Harry nodded at the girl.

“Oh and Harry?” The woman called after the boys, causing Harry to turn, “I hope she says yes.” Harry’s heart leapt. So did he.

“Are you sure this is what you want to do?” She heard her mother’s voice on the other side of the phone.

“Yes mom,” she sighed, “I’m sure. I need to figure myself out. And hopefully Harry will let me. And when I’m ready, hopefully it won’t be too late.”

“Honey, he’d be a fool to fall out of love with you. And I see the way he looks at you, that’s real love, Ems. But don’t blame him if he moves on eventually. You can’t ask him to put his life on hold for you.” Emily knew her mother was right. She was always right. But she hated to think of Harry with another woman.

“I know mom. Let’s just hope I can figure this all out soon then.”

“Alright honey, see you in about 10 hours. Love you.” Emily hung up the phone, tossing it in her bag before closing her eyes, massaging her temples with her fingers. When had it come to this? She was such a mess. She really did love Harry with everything she had, but there was always something holding her back. She couldn’t figure it out. She knew that she was at risk of losing him forever, but it was a risk she was willing to take because she couldn’t keep hurting him like this. It wasn’t fair to him.

It makes your lips, so kissable.

And your kiss unmissable. Emily heard the familiar lyrics being sung behind her.

Your fingertips so touchable

And your eyes irresistible.”

Emily turned around, to be confronted with 4 stupidly grinning boys, and one handsome, tall, beautiful one with curly hair, who was in a nice suit.

“Harry?” She gasped. She had not expected this. “What are you doing?” She looked around, and sure enough, there was already a crowd watching them, some of them squealing at the romantic gesture, others freaking out because it was One Direction, and quite a few with their phones out, filming the whole scene.

“I had to try one more time.” He took a step forward, taking in her messy ponytail, nice fitted yoga pants, and she was wearing his sweater. He smirked to think that she was still keeping a part of him with her.

“Harry, please don’t.” She held a hand out to stop him, but he just took it in his, kissing it.

“Please, just let me say what I have to say. And if you still don’t want to do this, then I will walk away forever, I promise.” He pulled her closer, noticing how she wasn’t resisting him.

            “Forever?” Her eyes widened.

            “Forever.” He nodded.

“But I don’t want you to go away forever. Please Harry. Just give me some time, and then I promise, we can talk about things.” She didn’t want him to walk away forever, just for a little while.

“No, you’re being a little bit selfish, love, so let me be selfish and just say this all.” She nodded, as she heard the warning call, telling the passengers that they were boarding the plane in five minutes.

“You have five minutes, I guess.” She couldn’t meet his eyes as she said the words, she was too afraid of what he was about to say.

“Emily, I love you. And I know you love me, too. I can’t imagine life without you. Not because it won’t go on, but because it hurts too much. I know that if you leave, I’m going to be shattered, but I’m going to try and pick myself and keep living, just for you. I’m going to wait for you, and never stop loving you. Hell, I might even start loving you more. But if you stayed? Love, we could have it all. I want you in my life forever. I want to wake up next to you every morning, and fall asleep to you every night. I want to see the way you roll your eyes at me every single time I flip my hand through my curls. I want to watch the way you bite your lip when you’re thinking just a little bit too hard. I want to love you, keep you safe, and keep you feeling loved for the rest of my life. And most of all, I want you to keep me safe, I want you to love me, and I want you to be with me for the rest of my life. And I know that I would hate myself forever if I don’t say what I’m about to say.” He let go of her hand, reaching in his pocket, feeling the soft velvet on his fingers.

“Oh my god. Harry, no—.” But he just placed a finger on her lips, telling her to be quiet.

“Emily Binks. I love you. You love me. We can work on this together. I won’t stop loving you. Till the day that I die. Emily, will you do the honor of marrying me?” Harry was down on one knee, his heart on his sleeve, proposing to the woman of his dreams.

“I’m going to miss you, Em. Be safe okay? Don’t do anything I wouldn’t do. And just…Don’t go falling in love with someone else. It would break Harry’s heart.” Liam pulled her into a deep hug.

“Thanks Liam. You know I’ll miss you too, my little puppy dog. And make sure he’s okay.” She nodded towards the saddened boy sitting on the airport bench.

“I will.” He hugged her once more before letting her say good bye to Louis.

“I can’t believe you said no.” He looked at her, a little bit ticked off that this girl had broken his best mates heart.

“I know, Lou. But I really did it for him. He’s better off now. Once I figure everything out, and if he still wants me, then I’ll say the words everyone wants to hear.”

“Fine. But be quick.” Louis finally let his guard down; he hugged his petite friend good bye.

“Love you too, Lou.” He rolled his eyes, walking away.

“Well boy am I glad you didn’t pick me.” Zayn pulled Emily into a tight hug. Despite it all, she felt herself relax, letting out a small laugh at his joke.

“You’re a jerk.” She stuck her tongue out at him.

“You’ll be alright.” He tightened his grip around her, kissing her on the top of the head. She nodded as she let him go.

            “I hope so.” She whispered.

“I’m gonna miss your cooking more than anything else, I hope you know that.” Niall bounded over to his friend.

“Nice to know, Niall. I’ll miss you Irish charm.” She punched him in the arm, but he caught it, pulling her into a hug.

            “Be good, Em.”

            “I will, Niall.”

“Erm, can I interrupt?” Emily’s eyes widened at the raspy voice behind her. She thought he would make her leave without a proper goodbye. Not that she really blamed him.

“Sure mate. Bye Em.” Emily nodded at Niall as he let her go, giving her a soft nudge into Harry’s arms.

“I love you.” He whispered into her ear.

“I know. And I love you too.” She voice was muffled into his chest.

“I hope you find everything you’re looking for.” He felt the tears forming in his eyes.

“Me too, Harry. I wish this was easier. But please, don’t let me hold you back. If you meet someone and you—Well I don’t know. But just don’t let me stop you, okay? I just want you to be happy. You deserve someone who can make you happy.” Harry buried his face in her hair, taking in her scent one last time. Not that he would ever forget it.

“No one can replace you in my heart, Ems.”

“Not even Taylor Swift?” She joked.

“Oh shut up. Besides, I’m pretty sure she hates me.”

“Good, because in the end, you’re mine, Styles.” She looked up, trying to fight the urge to kiss him. Harry seemed to catch on, leaning down and pressing his lips to hers.

“I know, and you’re mine.” He muttered into her lips. They were interrupted by the intercom announcing the last call for Emily’s flight to Vancouver.

“Harry, I need to go.” She tried wriggling out of Harry’s arms, but he couldn’t bring himself to let her go.

“No. Stay. I want you to stay.”

            “I can’t Harry.”

“Why? Why are you being so selfish?” He didn’t even realize he was yelling, but he just couldn’t let her leave.

“I—Harry, I’m sorry. I love you so much, I—I have to go. Good bye, Harry. I love you, don’t you ever forget that.” Harry stood there frozen to the ground as she rushed away from him, grabbing her things and making her way to the terminal.

“Then why can’t you stay?” He finally managed to yell out. But it was too late, she had already disappeared. She was gone, and there was nothing Harry could do anymore.
