(This movella is set as if One Direction isn't famous.)
Ashalee York was always one to try and hide away, she only showed who she really was to her one friend Jay. Ashalee is shy, and a good girl (who sometimes likes to bend the rules) and she is insecure about herself. Ashalee is your average girl in every way on the outside. But on the inside she deals with the constant struggle, the rage on inside of her mind, she's bipolar. It may be fate, chance, destiny, or whatever you call it but she finds herself mixed up with Harry Styles who wants to show her that she doesn't have to close people out. But he doesn't know about the mental war the wages deep within her mind and maybe if he did know he would leave her and label her as a freak like the rest of society.

8. Just Talk

Harry's POV

Was Ashalee a little tipsy? She kind of seemed like it, she was being a little more friendly than in the coffee shop before. When she returned she was clutching at her throat a bit and took a big gulp. She looked at me...her eyes seemed to want to tell me something, or maybe she was embarrassed about what had happened. I came towards her,

"Harry I wasn't drinking I promise."

Her voice was so sure of it. I was hoping she had been drinking. I was hoping she would get so crazy drunk that I could take her home with me. Every night I've been having that dream. The one where we have sex, yeah that one and I have these urges to do the real thing. I've done it, the deed, the sex thing before but my urge had never been this needy. Damn, it frightened me a bit.

"Sure okay." I joked.

Something in her eyes seemed to, I don't know become angry, "I DO NOT drink."

An edge in her voice indicating she was clearly annoyed. "Sorry, sorry, I was joking."

Her face seemed to cool down, "I didn't mean to snap at you."

She grabbed a fist full of her hair, the lights dimmed and oh my gosh she looked amazing. I took her in, being the male that I am, I checked her out. She shifted from foot to foot, she hasn't been on many dates. Wait this isn't a date, she hasn't been to many events like this with me. Actually she didn't come with me, I invited her, she came with Jay, which I stole her from Jay. I saw her eyes poke around, weaving their way through the crowd trying to find Jay, she spotted Jay. Now she was going to leave me. I followed the gaze, Jay was dancing.

"I could never be as open as Jay." She looked up at me.

"Yeah you could, I'll help you."

I grabbed her hand and escorted her to the middle of the room. The beat of the music seemed to melt under out feet, it was ringing in my ears, like and earthquake of the most amazing sound ever.

"To really dance at one of these parties if you want to play it safe it just to bounce to the beat of the music."

The stereo played another song, one less ridged, one less that was perfect.

The lyrics hummed through the house. 'I don't like walking around this old and empty house...'

"I love this song. It seems to sum me up."

I've heard this song before but never knew what it's called, "What song is this?"

"It's called Little Talks by Of Monsters and Men."

I watched her try to take my bounce suggestion.

"You can't do that with this type of song, you have to like, move slowly."

She sighed, "Guess I'm a party failure."

Some of her hair was flying away, a stray I tucked it behind her ear.

"Harry," she began, oh no, she wanted to talk about my kiss attempt. It was so degrading, her rejecting me and now she wanted to talk about it. At Dawn's house in the middle of this party. She grabbed my hand and pulled me over to a wall, these kids were smoking, Ash gagged a bit. Dawn came rushing over,

"No no no. Don't smoke in my parent's house man. Do that outside or something, but not in here."

Dawn rushed over to the opposite wall and flipped a switch the ceiling fan began spinning, coming to life.

Dawn came over to join us, yes, the perfect distraction from this awkward talk I was about to have with Ash.

He whispered in my ear, "Good luck man." And scampered off.

Ash gave me this looks like, what-did-he-say? I shrugged it off.

"Harry..." she began, pulling me closer, the music seemed to turn up, Ash having to speak louder in my ear, her breath smelled like soda, her hot breath on my ear. I wanted to push her away the feeling was so intense. She wasn't trying to be flirty, she was just trying to talk. I had to get these 'thoughts' from my mind and just listen to her.
