Liam's POV:
"Has anyone found him?" I asked as everyone except Louis and Eleanor gathered back in our now overcrowded dressing room. "And where are El and Louis?"
"Still looking I think." Zayn responded, placing his arm around Perrie as she leant her head on his shoulder.
"Right, I-" Paul began before being interrupted by my phone buzzing in my pocket, the shrill ringtone ringing out clearly. As I pulled my phone from my pocket I read the caller ID, the room going silent.
"It's El." I announced as I pressed 'answer', holding the phone to my ear.
"Hey Liam, I'm with Lou and we found Niall. We're on our way home though, Niall didn't want to hang around." El immediately answered gently.
I breathed a sigh of relief after hearing Niall was safe and hadn't done anything stupid.

"How is he?" I asked warily.
"He's...struggling. He's dozing now, but he was a mess when we found him."
"Okay, I'll see you back at the house."
"Bye Li." She replied as I hung up. Looking around at all the anxious faces watching me intently, I shoved my phone back in my pocket and proceeded to bear the news.
"El and Lou found Niall and they're on their way back to the house."
The sounds of relief that filled the room were clear.
"Okay, now we know that Niall is safe, I think its best if we pack up, go home and start tomorrows day off, early." Paul concluded, everyone murmuring their agreement.
As we made our way to the cars, a small gathering of fans had stayed behind after the unfinished show, desperate to come into some form of contact with us. As much as we wanted to greet the girls, we were all too stressed after the nights events and so managed only a half hearted smile and a little wave. Even so, the girls still seemed overjoyed at seeing us. As we climbed into the awaiting cars, we gave one last wave before pulling out of the car park, beginning our journey home.

As the five of us walked in through the front door we were greeted by silence, the only sounds being that of our feet dragging across the wood floor. I made my way into the living room Dani's hand linked with mine, and found Louis and Eleanor on the sofa laying next to each other, El resting her sleeping head on Lou's chest; his arms wrapped firmly round her whilst his head rested on her hair. Upon hearing our entrance, Lou's eyes fluttered open and raised his head, El still peacefully sleeping.
"Where's Niall?" I asked quietly, trying to avoid waking El.
"He went straight to his room. I think he just wants some time to think on his own." Lou replied, gently stroking El's hair.
"Okay," I replied as Zayn and Perrie made their way to the kitchen.
"Do you want anything to eat?" Harry asked quietly, pausing in the doorway.
"Nah I'm fine mate."
Harry nodded solemnly and continued his path into the other room.

"I think I'm just gonna crash." I said, more to myself than to anyone else, "Coming?" I asked Dani, smiling gently when she nodded.
"Night Lou." I whispered, before realising Louis had dozed off again.
Wrapping one of my arms around Dani's waist and pulling her close, I guided her from the living room and up the stairs, pausing and opening my door before entering and closing it behind me.

After changing and brushing my teeth, I slipped into the bed and wrapped my arms around Dani's slender frame as she nestled her head in the crook of my neck.
"Do you think we'll find Tegan soon?" Dani asked.
"I hope so." I replied, gently kissing her forehead before closing my eyes and drifting out of consciousness.

After waking up at just past 11 the next morning, the rest of the day passed slowly, each task feeling like it was being dragged out to emphasize our current problem. To say everyone seemed out of character would be an understatement. Louis hadn't laughed or cracked a joke once; he barely talked unless absolutely necessary, Zayn clearly hadn't observed himself in the mirror at all, Niall hadn't eaten since yesterday and I hardly think he slept at all judging from the dark circles forming under his eyes. To put it simply, we were all being affected, badly.
Earlier there had been a spark of hope for becoming one step closer to finding Tegan when Paul called, but that spark soon burnt out when he told us he only called to let us know he was still working on searching for her, although they hadn't found any new leads. Paul had also told us something unexpected; that when he had mentioned Tegan to a select few people, they had no idea who she was, bearing in mind that when we made the call to Dean he had told us he would do anything he could to find her, given the situation of the unaware public.

The time written on the clock drew closer and closer to 6pm, each tick of the hands mocking our helpless states as we sat on the sofas staring at the muted TV.
"Anyone want to order Pizza?" Zayn sighed, raising his head slightly. As much as I didn't want to think about myself, I couldn't ignore the growls being I heard from my stomach.
"Might as well." I replied, Harry and Louis nodding their heads in sync.
"You just want the usual, yeah?" Zayn continued, lifting himself off from the sofa and removing the home phone from its cradle; all three of us nodding. Once the food had been ordered, Zayn reclaimed his seat and fixed his eyes back on the TV, leaving us all time to think before the pizza arrived.
I had never thought a friend's pain could bring so much sadness to a person before now. Mixed emotions were running through my head and questions were flooding every corner of my mind; why would someone do this? What happened to Tegan to make someone think she deserves to go through this? Clearly the culprit of this crime had no sense of empathy, not a sympathetic bone in their body.
To be able to watch a person like Niall suffer like this, to witness the emotional destruction inflicted on those around the victim is cruel. And I just couldn't understand the reasons behind any of it.
I didn't realise how long I had been racing over the questions engraved into my head until my thoughts were interrupted by the three sharp knocks on the hard front door. Again, Zayn was the one to leave the comfort of the sofa and collect the pizza's whilst everyone else waited solemnly for his return, still no words being conversed between any of us.
I could just about make out the quiet exchange between Zayn and the pizza delivery guy before hearing the swing and click of the front door closing, the heavenly scents wafting through the rooms. Although the smells were appetising, the only reaction gained from Niall upon the arrival of the pizza was a quick glance before returning back to his motionless state.
Zayn placed the four boxes on the coffee table and proceeded to lift each carboard lid, exposing the contents. As we all reached out towards the food, our actions were interrupted by the shrill ringing of a phone. The source of the noise eventually turned out to be El's phone, the tone continuing to ring out through the room as she sat up and pulled it from her pocket.

El's next reaction set us all on edge.

As she looked at the caller ID, all remaining colour drained from her face, her thumb quivering as she put the caller on speaker.
"E- El..?" The familiar voice whispered, the fear evident through the phone.
