5. Unexpected ending.

“Hi! I’m sorry for being late, I went to the wrong bus and then someo-“, I started but needed to stop to take some breath. I had run for the last 1.5 miles.

“Don’t worry, I can drop you off home when you’re going back so you won’t get lost again”, Harry chuckled and winked at me. I felt my cheeks getting redder.

“Thanks”, I said smiling.

“So let’s start our journey from the London eye, then walk to see Big Ben and later to the park near it where we can sit down before going to eat”, Harry said like a professional guide. I smiled and nodded:

“Let’s go then!”

We walked to Harry’s car, which was only around the corner. We were two miles away from the London eye, so we decided to take the car. We drove to a small parking lot that was next to the London eye. We hopped out of the car and walked to the entrance.

“Do you want to go up? It takes an hour to go around”, Harry asked and informed. I looked up to see the top of the eye. It was so high. I sighted deep.

“Umm if you want to…” I said sceptical. Harry looked at me with a half-smile.

“You are afraid of high places, aren’t you?” he asked still smiling. I looked at him with a little fear in my eyes.

“Yes, I am”, I said quietly to the ground.

“Don’t worry, we can go there other time”, Harry said and put his arm around my shoulder. He turned me around and we walked away from the entrance.

“It’s not long to the Big Ben, let’s walk there, shall we?” Harry said as we were walking. He had taken his arm away from my shoulder by then. I nodded smiling, not looking to Harry. London was such a beautiful city, not that I had seen much of it yet, but I knew I would love this place from all my heart.

After good ten, twenty minutes of walking we arrived to the ground around the Big Ben. It was huge, bigger than I had expected.

“We’re not going up there, right?” I asked stupidly.

“Of course not!” Harry said laughing. He explained something about the history of Big Ben and how old it was. I listened him interested, he explained all the things so well.

After the Big Ben we walked to the park where we were supposed to have a little lunch. It was a really nice day, warm and sunny. Harry laid a blanket down to the grass and pointed me to sit down. He then sat down next to me and opened the basket filled with food. He took out sandwiches and lemonades.

“These ones are for you”, Harry said, handing me the sandwich and a lemonade.

“Thank you”, I said and started to open the packet that sandwich was in. I took a bite and I felt like there was a party of delicious tastes in my mouth. I bet my face was priceless.

“Did you really make this yourself??” I asked after swallowing. Harry nodded proudly.

“Yes I did, you like it?” he asked, already knowing the answer.

“Oh I love this!” I said still surprised of how delicious the sandwich was.

“I promise to make you more sandwiches in the future”, Harry said smirking.

“Please, yes!” I said laughing.

But that never happened. Harry never made me a sandwich again. We had a blast there, sure, but after the ‘tour’ around London we lost touch. It’s been two weeks since that, and I’m not going to be the one who takes contact first. Let me tell you what happened on our way home, that’s probably the reason we haven’t talked.

We walked back to Harry’s car after having the lunch and some chilling time at the park. We had played Frisbee as well. We hopped in to his car and he started it. He was explaining something, but I really wasn’t listening what he said, I just listened his deep, raspy voice.

“You know, I could listen to you talking for hours in a row and I wouldn’t get bored”, I said looking Harry.

“How so?” Harry chuckled and made a quick look to me.

“I think it’s just the way you explain things and your accents is so addictive”, I explained. Harry was little surprised of that but smiled. He turned up the radio and one of his favourite songs was playing. He started singing and I was amazed how perfectly he sang.

“You have a voice of an angel! Have you ever thought about singing as a career?” I asked, interrupting him. Harry smiled and let out a little laugh, but he never answered me. I guess he hadn’t think of the singing as a career and laughed when I suggested it. We soon arrived to the front of my new home. Harry got out of the car to walk me to the door.

“Thank you Heather I really had fun today!” Harry said smiling, looking deep into my eyes.

“Thanks to you for guiding and of the sandwich!” I said smiling.

“No problem at all”, he smiled. I smiled back, the moment started to become a little awkward.

“I’ll go now”, I said pointing to the door.

“Yea of course”, Harry chuckled and I turned around.

“Heather wait!” Harry shouted and ran to catch me. He turned me around with his hand and kissed me. There was no chance I could’ve done something to it, it came out of nowhere and so quickly. I pushed him back, but I have to admit that I maybe responded to his kiss. I looked at him little shocked and just walked inside the house. I made a last look on him before closing the door.
