Moving House- A Tom Hiddleston Fanfiction.

Emily and Amy have been friends forever, growing up around the corner from each other. You can imagine Emily’s dismay when recently engaged Amy moves to London to open up her own art gallery and live with her fiancée. Even more so when she finds out that her favourite actor, Tom Hiddleston is there to help them.

15. Chapter 14

Chapter 14:

It was odd waking up to an empty bed. Tom had only stayed that one night but it was as though the bed had been moulded to him, just like he had been moulded to me the morning before.

I got up out of bed and had a shower getting dressed in a pair of leggings and a leopard print dress before going downstairs. I found Amy sitting at the kitchen table reading a bridal magazine sipping a cup of coffee.

“Morning Em”

“Did you sleep well?”

“The bed felt strangely empty. Silly isn’t it. He only stayed one night and now I feel like I don’t want to be apart from him. Especially as he told me he loved me last night”

Amy choked on her coffee then looked up at me.

“I`m sorry, he what?”

“He told me he loved me.”

“Details dammit. You can’t keep that from me”

I ended up telling her all about Mumford and Sons and meeting Carey Mulligan, how Tom introduced me as his girlfriend, that I was meeting Carey for lunch and then how at the evening he said he loved me.

He jaw was slack on the floor. I walked over to the table where she was sitting and pulled her jaw back up off the floor. “You looked like a goldfish.”

“Anything in this magazine you like then?”

She just kept staring at me. I couldn’t help but the smile that formed on my lips.

“You should so just get married now”

“I’m sorry, what? We’re looking for you, not me”

“Yeah but I mean he told you he loved you better start thinking about a wedding. Oh my god imagine what your babies would look like. His curly hair and your green eyes.”

I raised my eyebrows at her. “Seriously, stop! We should be thinking about you, not me.”

We flicked through the magazine, Amy picking out dresses she liked and folding the pages over so we could go and look in the shops before and after we went to see Singin in the Rain. In the back of my mind I couldn’t keep Amy’s comment out of my head and found my mind wondering to what it would be like if I was picking a wedding dress for my wedding. My wedding to Tom.

I was pulled out of my thoughts by my phone playing `All About Tonight by Pixie Lott signalling that my phone was ringing. I picked it up going out into the hall to answer it.

“Hey Emily, It’s Carey”

“Oh hey Carey, how are you?” I was playing it cool but inside I was screaming. I was talking to Carey freaking Mulligan.

“I’m good, how are you?”

“Not too bad thanks.

“Listen, I go off to film on Saturday so can I schedule our lunch for tomorrow afternoon?”

“Yeah, sure, that would be great. I leave tomorrow evening so that would work in really well. Where shall I meet you?”

“How about at the Giraffe restaurant near Southbank at say one ish?”

“Sounds great I’ll see you then.”

“See you then, can’t wait to see you”

“Bye, hun”

I ran back into the kitchen with a huge smile on my face.

“Why are you so happy all of a sudden? Has Tom said yes to marrying you” she joked.

“Haha, very funny. That was Carey. I’m having lunch with her tomorrow. I’m having lunch with Carey freaking Mulligan tomorrow.”

“Oh my god”

“I know!”

“Your leaving tomorrow night aren’t you?”

“Yeah,i`m not meeting Carey till one though so we can hang out before then and your coming with me to the train station right?”

“Sounds good and yeah ofcourse”

“Ok, good”

We continued flicking through the magazines before making our way out of the house, going to the box office of the Shaftesbury Theatre to grab our tickets for the show and then going shopping, yet again.

Amy was determined to find her dress today. I knew when she was in a determined mood not to mess with her.

We spent most of the morning shopping, going in and out of various wedding shops, Amy trying on various different styles of wedding dresses. None were right. The dresses looked great in the magazines but when you she got in the shop and looked at them, they didn’t look half as good. That’s exactly like going into a shop, liking something enough to try it on thinking it will look nice only to try it on and be disappointed. Everything always looks better on the coat hanger.

The last shop we went into was where she found her dress. As soon as she saw it, she fell in love. She tried it on and was pleasantly surprised how lovely it felt and looked on her. She looked like a princess.

“You look absolutely beautiful, Amz”

“This is the one”

It fit perfectly and no alterations needed to be made. She got changed back into her jeans and cardigan before going out to pay for it. I sent Tom a text whilst she paid.

Found Amy’s wedding dress. She looks beautiful. About to make our way to the theatre. See you later I love you Xxxxxxx

We made our way out of the dress shop and hopped on the tube to Leicester Square to go to the theatre. I was so excited. Singin in the Rain was one of my favourite films and I was excited to see it played out on stage.

I found a text from Tom when I got off the tube.

Afternoon my darling. Glad Amy found her dress, bet she won’t look as beautiful as you. Enjoy the show. I’m sat here trying to read a script when all I can think about is you and your face when I introduced you to Mumford and Carey last night. I’ll pick you up at 8 for dinner. I love you Xxxxxxx

We made our way into the theatre and took our seats. We were quite close to the stage, near the middle in the stalls. I’d never been this close before. When me and Amy went to see Wicked we were right up the back.

Stop, you’ll make me blush. One of the best nights of my life and it’s all because of you. Every night and day ive spent with you are all up there with the best days. Carey called this morning. Will tell you about it later. Shows about to start. Loki love ;) xxx

“Better seats than when we went to see Wicked” Amy said.

“Indeed.” I’m so excited.

“Me too”

The lights dimmed just as I got a new text. I switched my phone to silent before reading the text.

That was my intention, darling. Don’t forget to concentrate on the show rather than thinking about me, now ;) I love you Xxxxxxx

I chucked replying with the following before turning my attention to the show.

“Don’t flatter yourself Hiddleston. I love you Xxxxxxx
