7. Falling

Harry and I sat in an awkward silence. I repeated my question.

"Can you what?" I asked more sternly.

"Nothing. It'll just be weird, because I've never really..." Harry trailed off again.

"What, Harry? It'll be okay." I reassured him. His eyes finally locked on mine.

"Can I please kiss you?" He looked like a little child. Scared, nervous, embarrassed. I wanted him to do it so bad, but I couldn't find words.

"I-I..." I muttered.

"I'm sorry. I just wan-"

"Y-Yes. You can. Don't be afraid." I finally spoke.

"I usually don't freak out around girls." Harry seemed sincere about this.

"Why do you freak around me?" I asked, curious.

"I-I don't know. Everytime I look at you, I get...this feeling in my stomach. Especially the first night I saw you at the game. It feels like-" I cut him off.

"Butterflies." I whispered.

"Exactly." Harry smiled.

"Let's watch a movie." I suggested. I guessed Harry was going to wait to kiss me. He looked extremely nervous, so I didn't ask. He would do it, just not right at this moment.

"Can we watch a Disney movie?" Harry asked.

"Which one?"

"Monsters Inc.?" He asked.

"Yes!!!!" I was excited. I knew every word to that movie. I went upstairs, grabbed the movie, then rushed back downstairs. "I'm warning you. I can quote the whole movie." I smirked.

"Me too." He smiled. I shoved the movie in the DVD player, after taking the Notebook out.

He sat on the left side of the big couch, and I sat on the right. Far from him. I really wanted to be close, but I was scared. He looked up fom his phone, and stared at me.

"Why are you so far?" He chuckled.

"I don't know." I laughed.

"I guess I'm coming over there." He smirked, and stood up. His perfectly toned torso was all I could stare at. "I don't mind." I watched him sit next to me. We were really close. I could feel his body heat.

"This is better." He mumbled. I saw a grin start to spread across his face. I turned a bright red, and I turned my attention to the tv. It was at the part where Sully was just waking up, and he was practicing scaring kids in bunkbeds.

I laughed at it. Harry was staring at me. I could feel his eyes on me.

"Why are you staring at me?" I asked, still staring at the television.

"I don't know, but I can't stop." He said. I looked at him. I stared into his glowing geen eyes.

"And now I can't stop." I smiled. He grinned like a little boy.

I could feel the moment. He was about to kiss me. I knew it. His smile slowly dropped, and he continued to stare at me. I stared back at him.

"Oh my god, Harry." I mumbled. I really just wanted him to kiss me.

"What?" He looked confused. "When are you going to kiss-" I was cut off when I felt lips on mine.

I felt butterflies, sparks, fireworks. They exploded. I never wanted to let go. My feelings couldn't be controlled.

Harry pulled away. I knew he could barely breathe. I couldn't breathe at all.

"D-Did you feel th-" I was cut off again. But by Harry's words.

"I felt them. I liked them." Harry smiled.

"I can't breathe." I chuckled. "You're so impatient." He smirked.

"Well, I just couldn't wait any longer for you to kiss me." I laughed.

"I figured. You just can't resist this." Harry flexed his muscles.

I laughed at him. "I could if I wanted to." I poked him. "Nu uh." He whined.

I kissed his cheek. "I could, but I won't." I put my forehead on his. My legs were on either side of him. I was straddling his lap. I felt his arms snake around my waist. "Good." He smirked.

I'm falling. Hard. "Remember on the ferris wheel when you said you're not who I think you are?" I asked him. My forehead was still on his.

"Yes.." He seemed worried.

"Why?" I spoke softly.

"I suck at relationships. I always find a way to screw things up. The girl always gets mad, and leaves me. They really only stay for a couple of weeks, then they dissapear." Harry explained.

"That's not too bad." I reassured him.

"It is when I can't keep a girlfriend." He looked upset.

"I'll never leave you Harry." I stared in his eyes. I lifted my forehead off of his.

"Are you sure?" Harry asked.

"Positive." I moved my head towards his and kissed his soft lips. I kissed him with all the passion I had, so I could convince him I wasn't going to leave him. Ever. He kissed back with that same passion.

He slowly pulled away, and stared in my blue eyes.

"That was pretty convincing."

"I try." I smirked.

"So. You told me you could sing." Harry still had his arms around my waist, and I still straddled his lap.

"I can't...." I tried to lie.

"Sing." Harry chanted over and over again. He didn't stop.

I finally gave in. "Settle down with me. Cover me up. Cuddle me in..." I sang. It was wierd.

Harry's face softened. A smile crept onto his lips. He knew the song. He sang it with me.

"I'm fallin' for your eyes, but they don't know me yet.." We sang in harmony.

"And with a feeling I'll forget, I'm in love now." We stopped there.

"Wow." Harry smiled. "You can sing." He still grinned at me.

"Eh.. I guess a little." I sighed.

"Alot." Harry moved me from his lap. He walked to the kitchen.

"What are you doing?" I asked him.

"Standing in the kitchen." He laughed.

"Naw dip, Sherlock." I got off the couch, and walked over to him.

"Do you have a radio of some sort in here?" Harry asked me, as I came up next to him. I felt his body warmth. I nodded, and pulled out the kitchen radio.

"Can I pick a song?" He asked. I plugged my Ipod into the radio, and I let Harry pick one.

"Which song are you picking?" I wondered out loud.

"You'll see." He smirked. He tapped the screen, and looked at me. He was on the other side of the island in  our kitchen. We stared at eachother, waiting for the music to start. The song that we sang together began playing. "Kiss Me" by Ed Sheeran. I wonder if Harry's friend, Ed, was Ed Sheeran.

"It's our song now." Harry smiled at me. He started walking over to me slowly. He came up to me, and pulled me close to him. "Dance with me?" His raspy voice whispered.

"Of course." I brought my arms up to his neck, and wrapped them around him. He had his arms around my waist.

We danced slowly. "Let's play twenty questions." Harry suggested.

"Number 1. Are you a virgin, Harry?" I asked him. My head rested on his shoulder.

"Duh. Number 2. Are you a virgin?"

"Of course. Number 3. What would you name your daughter if you ever had one?"

"Darcy. Number 4. Have you ever been in love?"

"Not yet. Number 5. Is Ed Sheeran the guy that wrote the song you sang to me?"

"Sure is. Number 6. Do you like summer or winter?"

"Summer. Number 7. How many girlfriends have you actually really loved?"

"All of them. Number 8. Do you like your new indentites better than the real Kayla?"

"Now I don't. Number 9. Have you ever been in love?"

"Not yet. Number 10. What's your favorite feature on me?"

"Your eyes. Number 11. What's your favorite feature on me?"

"Your smile. Number 12. Who is your favorite super hero?"

"Spiderman. Number 13. Who's yours?"

"Captain America. Number 14. Why are you so shy?"

"I really don't know. Number 15. Why do you make me nervous?"

"I have no clue. Number 16. Favorite male celebrity?"

"Channing Tatum all the way. Number 17. Favorite female celebrity?"

"Megan Fox. Number 18. Last boyfriend?"

"Can't remember. Number 19. Are you convinced that I'll never leave you?"

"Yes. Number 20. Are you falling for me, like I'm falling for you?"

"I think so." I smiled. We both stared at eachother now. The song ended right then, and we just smiled at eachother.

"You only think?" He messed with me.

"Well, we've only had one date." I laughed, as I walked to the fridge.

"Two now." He referred to him staying at my house.

"You consider this a date?" I asked, pulling out a water.

"I do." Harry laughed.

"I guess it is." I chuckled, and sat on the island. Harry came to the front of me, and wrapped his arms around me. I warpped my legs around him.

I had gotten used to him not wearing a shirt. "Your legs are cold." Harry laughed.

"Sorry, I'm cold?" I laughed with him.

"What's goin' on in here?" My mom stood in the doorway of the kitchen smirking at us.

"Hey mom." I chuckled.

"You know it's four thirty in the morning, right?" She asked.

"Is it really?" I looked at the clock. Sure enough, it read 4:31.

"I'm off work, yano?" My mom stood next to the island.

"Can we hang out today? If I stay awake?" I asked.

"Of course. I haven't had a day off in forever. You wanna come with us, Harry?" My mom turned her attention to him. I hadn't noticed, but he was staring at me.

"O-Oh. Sure." He zoned out staring at me. It made me think about Zayn's story. He said his grandparets would stare at eachother, then zone out. I smiled.
"What are you smiling at?" Harry asked me.

"Nothing." I smirked. I decided I would tell him later.

He kissed my cheek, then sat next to me on the island.

"I can make you breakfast." My mom suggested.

"Sure. I'm gonna go shower. Harry, talk to my mom." I walked upstairs to get in the shower.

I awkwardly sat on the island, while watching Kayla's mom cook. "Sooo? Harry?" She said, randomly.

"Yes?" I asked.

"I'm Shannon Devine. Just call me your homie." I laughed at her.

"Ok. Homie G."

"Home skillet biscuit." Her mom had quite a sense of humor. We laughed together.

"I watched you guys." She said after our laughing calmed.

"Do what? Dance?" I asked.

"Yes. I heard the last question you asked her. Did you see the way she just lit up?" Shannon asked me.

I wasn't aware she was watching. "No, but I bet it was adorable." I smiled at her.

"Don't let her go, Harry. You guys are...." She trailed off.

"We're what?" I asked, curious.

"You guys are... cute." She mumbled. I knew she had something else on her mind, but I let it go.

"I really like her." I said.

"I know you do." Shannon turned and looked at me. I was kind of worried about something.

"What's buggin' ya, baby?" She asked me.

"Does she feel the way I feel?" I asked. I wanted to know if she actually meant that she was falling for me.

"She told me when she asked if you could stay for a while last night. She really likes you." Shannon smiled, then turned back to the stove.

"I'm falling." I mumbled. "I know you are, boy." Shannon heard me say that I was falling. I wasn't lying. I was falling fast for Kayla Ariana Devine.

I went into the kitchen with wet hair, and no makeup on. I had on leggings, a blue Ninja Turtles shirt, and bright pink socks. I was going comfy today.

I saw Harry still sitting on the island, and my mom had begun to cook.

"What'd you guys talk about?" I asked. It had only been twenty minutes since I got in the shower. I was quick to get ready.

"Stuff." My mom winked at Harry. He smiled at her, then looked at me.

"You look comfy." Harry smiled, showing off his adorable dimples.

"I am. Mom? Can we go to the mall later?" I asked her. I was brushing out my hair.

"After we eat, sure." She smiled, then set out food.

        *       *      *

We had went to Harry's house to get some clean clothes for him. He came out in black skinny jeans with a white shirt. Simple, but attractive. We were on our way to the mall. "I'm meeting Adrea her, so you guys can hang alone." My mom said.

"Thanks. Isn't Andrea the crazy cooking lady?" I asked.

"No. That's Betsy. She's mental." My  mom chuckled. Harry and I laughed.

*     *     *

We pulled up to the mall. "Text me when you're ready to go." My mom said. "Yes ma'am." I waved, and Harry and I slowly walked into the mall.

"It's early." Harry yawned.

"I know." I laughed. "Where should we go?" I asked.

"We should sit down somehwere. I still don't know you all that well." Harry suggested.

I nodded in agreement, as he led me to a table at the food court. We weren't eating. Just talking. I sat across from him at the table.

"So." I said.

"So. What do you wanna know?" He asked me.

"I don't need to know much. I already know most about you." I smiled.

"Well....anything. Just ask. I'll answer honestly."

"What were you and my mom talking about this morning?" I asked, extremely curious.

He looked nervous. "Umm...well....I don't know if you should know." He shifted in his seat.

"I won't judge. Just tell me."

He took a deep breath, then sighed. "Well, we were talking" He said.

"You and me?" I asked.

"What about us?"

"If you feel the way I feel. I asked your mom." Harry avoided eye contact.

"Why are you so worried about telling me that?" I asked him.

"I told you. I'm not good at relationships." He still didn't look in my eyes. Instead, he fiddled with his hands, and stared at the table.

"Yes you are. You care about how I feel. You worry about me. You really care" I reassured him.

"I think" He stopped.

"What?" I asked him.

"Nothing. I know how I feel, but not how you feel." He mumbled.

"Look at me, Styles." I said, a little attitude in my voice. He stared at me. He looked at me, eyebrows raised. His green eyes burned a hole through me.

"Remember this morning when you were staring at me, then I started smiling?" I asked him. He nodded, having the same confused expression. I explained to him Zayn's story. When I finished, his face softened, and I saw him slowly smile.

I smiled back. His adorable dimples popped out, and  it made me grin even bigger.

"Are you saying we' in love?" Harry hesitantly asked.

"Not in love yet. Just falling. Harder and harder every second." I stared at him. This satisfied him. He still smiled.

"I know I am. Truly, madly, deeply, I am foolishly, completely falling..." Harry sang. I chuckled at him.

"So, where do you want to go?" I asked him, my laughter slowly calming down.

"You know the trampoline things they have here?" He asked me. In the mall, there were big trampolines with bungee cords on them. The people would strap you in, and then they would press a button, and you would fly up. You could jump so high. I'd never done it, just saw people do it. I've always wanted to do it though.

"Let's do it!" I was excited.
