Waiting for the Storm to Pass

Charlotte Jasons is a romance novelist but she doesn't believe in true love. She is afraid to open her heart and give anyone any type of love. Her books are failing and she retreats to her best/ only friend. Her friend tells her the reason is her characters show no true passion and its probably because she has never experienced true love. Charlotte trusts her and goes off in search of love but when she finds someone will she have the courage to open her heart from the experiences in her past that have dealt with love. The books title Waiting for the storm to end is from one of my favorite sayings "life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass but learning to dance in the rain."

1. Prologue

Love is inside a person. In all people, even me.  Some people choose to express it to anyone who comes their way and some people are more fragile and careful about whom they choose to show it to.  I used to be one of those people who would open my heart all the time because I thought there was actually a chance at true love but now I know better than to believe in fairytales.  Even though writing about it is how I spend my days.  I write romance novels.  They don’t mean anything though; they’re just some made up crap that single, desperate women use to help their self-esteem. Honestly I don’t even know why I do it, it somewhat useless but also very important. Some people, skeptics, think the world would be a better place without stupid women reading stupid romance novels but these pathetic stories give hope to women who would other wise have none.  I don’t think of love as something that is passed around every day.  I think love exists but is truly rare, and true love, well there’s no such thing.
