20. She has....

The doctor came into the room, telling us he was going to run some more tests. I nodded, and Liam nd I stepped out of the room.
"I'm so hungry right now", I said.
"Yah?, me too", Liam responded.
"I...I want ice cream!", Daisy whined.
"Oh okay whatever you want", Tiffany responded.
We all got some ice cream, I split a cone with Liam. It's more romantic that way....even though I didn't fell in the romantic mood right now.
When we finished, we headed back to a general seating area and waited....and waited. I fell asleep on Liam's shoulder and was eventually woken up by the shove of my brother.
"Um the doctor wants to talk to's now so get up", Daniel demanded. I sprang up, feeling groggy still from when I was asleep. We all followed behind the doctor, and he lead us into a small room, aka his office.
"Take a seat ". He offered. We all sat down, daisy in my lap.
"From the results that we've been giving me of come to a conclusion that "..... The Dr. said pausing.
"What is it doctor. "Tiffany asked.
"Well as I was saying we have concluded that your mother has cancer..." He said sympathetically.
"I'm very sorry", He stated really meaning it. "We're doing everything we can but at this point there's not much that can be done". We all stared at eachother on the verge of tears. Even little Daisy knew this wasn't good news.
Finally Tiffany broke the silence by asking "What does this mean....?".
"Well I'm sorry to tell you this, but with the knowledge we have, she...doesn't have that long. However, from what I've observed she's been a fighter and were not going to stop doing everything we can until...she takes her last breath or the heart fails". The doctor explained us all bawling now. At that moment I wasn't even thinking about myself. I was thinking about how Daisy growing up without a mom, and my brothers even though they were older than Daisy, what would happen if she wasn't there anymore for them? For us? How can you say "She doesn't have that long", and then turned around and say "she's a fighter"? That's what they always say. Sounded almost scripted. Like they said that just to make everyone feel better, and the doctor didn't even seam to believe is own words. Now what? What happens now? I need to find out what happens now!
