Forever Apart

Addison never wanted to fall in love... Even the term sounds scary, 'falling' in love was not on her list of priorities. She was perfectly fine with being alone... Until she stumbled into a smart, strong-willed boy, Chase, who was out for her heart. Rules are broken and promises are made, but will they end up forever apart?

5. Chapter 4

"Oh, I'm so sorry!" I mumbled, me and my clumsiness always got me into the most embarrassing situations.

"That's alright." A kind voice said. I instantly looked up, my breath hitching in my throat. It was him, the boy with the guitar singing my favourite song, the boy with the dazzling smile that took my breath away, that same smile greeting me as I stood there, my mouth agape, stuttering like an idiot.

"Are you ok?" He laughed, oblivious to the way he affected me.

"I.. Uh, yeah of course." I stuttered, a redness crawling up my neck and on to my cheeks.

"Hey, aren't you the girl from earlier?" He asked, inquisitive.

"You'll have to be more specific." I challenged playfully, not taking my gaze off his amazingly bright emerald eyes.

"It is you," He laughed, "What's your name?"

"Addison." I replied.

"Addison," He echoed, "Pretty."

I blushed an even deeper crimson. I liked the way my name sounded when he said it. I was completely mystified by this boy.

"Well, my name is Chase.. it's nice to meet you." He held out his hand for me to shake. As I did he brought up my hand to his mouth and gently kissed it.

"A gentleman." I smiled, suddenly finding my shoes incredibly interesting. When I finally looked up I found his shining green orbs staring at me, studying my face. He looked away and blushed. I smiled, knowing I made him as nervous as he made me.

He suddenly looked at his watch, as a hint of disappointment washed over his face.

"I have to go, but can we meet again?" He asked curiously.

"Depends," I smiled, "Where do you want to meet?"

"Right here, eleven o'clock tomorrow. We can walk to the cafe down the road." He offered.

"Ok. Tomorrow, eleven o'clock." I nodded.

"It's a date." He smiled, I almost swooned.

"See you tomorrow Addison." And with that he kissed me on the cheek and ran off to wherever he needed to be.

"See you." I whispered to myself more than anyone. My cheek was still tingly from the kiss as I brushed my hand over my face. I started to walk home, feeling suddenly excited for tomorrow.
