Forever Apart

Addison never wanted to fall in love... Even the term sounds scary, 'falling' in love was not on her list of priorities. She was perfectly fine with being alone... Until she stumbled into a smart, strong-willed boy, Chase, who was out for her heart. Rules are broken and promises are made, but will they end up forever apart?

3. Chapter 2

As I woke, the sun streaming through my window, I was ready for the day. This day could potentially change my entire future. As I began to get ready, I smiled, I was prepared. I had spent all afternoon learning more about the gallery and the kind of people that work there, how many exhibits there were, the many artists. Any questions they threw at me, I would be ready.

I made my way down the street, the frosty air hitting my face incessantly. As I walked by, a young girl, about five, waved hello and said good morning. I couldn't help but smile, that was one of the things I loved about England, it may be cramped and busy, but there was never a shortness of kind and sincere people.

When I got to Trafalgar Square, a young boy, about my age, was singing The A Team by Ed Sheeran. I absolutely adored that song. He had drawn quite a crowd, but when he saw me he grinned. I was taken aback by his smile, I'd never seen something so radiant, so warm. I smiled and left for the gallery, ready to have this interview, the interview that would change my life.

When I arrived to the front desk, I was welcomed by a small, petite lady, about sixty. She smiled and asked if she could help me with something. I returned her smile and told her that I was here for the internship interview, she directed me to a small waiting room and wished me good luck. I took a deep breath and calmed myself. I was ready.
