The Book of Short Stories

Just a bunch of short stories I write when I'm bored

1. Left

"Go left! Just run! Go left!"

I listened to my conscious, I ran. Made the wrong choice I guess, I became face to face with the thing I was running from. He pointed his gun at me. I was out of breath and tired from running.

"Stop right there and don't try anything stupid, you'll regret it."

I stood as still as a statue, not wanting to regret anything.

"Get on your knees!" He ordered. I did as he said and knelt down on the ash fault. He put the gun to my head. "You thought you could get away, didn't you?"

I didn't answer. He whacked my head with the back of his gun. "Answer my question bitch!"

"N-n-no sir." I stuttered

He chuckled and cocked his gun pointing it back at my head. "You feeling lucky today bitch? I got one in the chamber with your name on it."

I didn't reply. "Answer me, cow!" He shouted and pressed the gun harder into my head.

"I-I-I don't know."

He chuckled again "Well let's see then." he smiled deviously. I closed my eyes tight. He pulled the trigger. The last sound I remember hearing was the sound of a bullet being shit and a body falling to the floor. I looked down to see his cold dead face frozen in shock. He bleed out on the ground. To this day I still don't know who killed the roulette serial killer, but I owe my life to that brave hero.
