3. Lost in my thoughts

At the prison, Alex was sitting alone, reading a book about hobbits. apparently they were small but had large hairy feet- how strange. however, having said that they seem strange, i do really wish to see one for myself so that i can make the judgement based on truth, not just a book.

"Hey Alex. found anything good in your hobbit book?" I asked
"Actually, i finished that. i am reading a book about the dwarfs... you know, like Oakensheild and the lone mountain and Smaug and stuff like that. its actually pretty cool" i had a look and saw pictures of Thorin Oakensheild, the current ruler. i saw pictures of his nephews, Fili and Kili. Kili wasn't like the other dwarfs that were painted. he wasn't as hard to look at.
"cool? what is 'cool', Alex?" boomed Alex' father.
"My book, Father"
"I see." then his eyes locked with mine and a strange warmth came over me, he smiled at me as if i were his own daughter. in many ways, i was "Good day, M'lady" he winked and then bowed his head to me. i laughed
"Good Evening, Sir. Alex, i am going to go on a walk around the woods, would you wish to come with me?"
"I'm so sorry Sara.. its my shift in 5 minutes."
"Ok then.. see you!"

I walked around the woods until i found my favorite part of Mirkwood. not many knew of this place, where my lake stood still. Lake Sara-Sora. Sora being my late mother. I sat at the edge of the Lake and thought. It was silent.. many people would say it was 'too quiet' but for me it was perfect. i could think about anything, and nobody was there to question me. the Lake was perfect for swimming, as there was so much salt in it, but it could be deadly if you were to drink over a liter of the stuff.
i closed my eyes and let myself become lost in my thoughts. it was amazing how  i could just shut out the world in this place. if ever there was a sound, i wouldn't have heard it. i was zoned out from the world.
