Life Of a Direction-ette

Try being that girl that everyone is used to not being popular. That girl that doesn't win anything. Try. Try this: Try being that girl that ends up being famous. That girl that everyone wants to be like, but secretly hates. Also, try being all those girls and not knowing what to do about it.

Charlie didn't ask for fame. And yet, it consumed her.

Charlie was used to being an outsider. Y'know. That one girl that everyone knew but never talked to. She didn't even think that she would win the direction-ette contest. And she sure as hell didn't think she would fall for someone in one direction. When things get tough, she wants nothing more than to go home with her mom. Some things aren't so easy.

7. Weeks Later

After their tenth concert in Maimi, the biggest problem of the tour started.

"Charlie, we need you to date Harry." They told me. They meaning I don't know what the hell "their" names are.

"Uh, excuse me?" I titled my head to the side honestly confused. I straightened back up once I realized I picked that up from Louis.

"Seriously. You have to date Harry."

"I'm sorry, but I kinda just met Harry, soooo."

He hit the desk two times as a kinda this conversation is over kinda statement and motioned for me to leave. I stood up and left with a "What the hell just happened" Look on my face. Seriously.       They didn't even give a choice. I had to date Harry. Like, What the fucking fuck? When we all  got caught up with each other,  I pulled Harry away from the rest of the boys and tried to explain what "They" said.

"What? That is not making sense! Why would I date you?"

I scrunched up my eyebrows at his statement and started to protest but Harry interrupted me with, "Not that you're not pretty or anything. I mean, why and how would we end up together?"

I leaned back on the wall closest to me and folded my arms as I looked at Harry. Really pondering this.

"I don't know." I told him slowly.

"I guess, we're just gonna have to fake it." I tell him after a while. He smiled faintly down at me, in a silent agreement.

When we walked back out of our little hiding corner, everyone was staring at us. Like "What were you two doing??"

Louis leaned close to Harry's ear and whispered something. I only heard my name and Louis's giggles. I rolled my eyes and walked along side Liam out of the hotel.

    "Whats wrong?"  He asked me.

"Nothing. I'm just dating Harry." I told him as I went through the contacts on my phone.

He looked at me quickly with widened eyes.

"What? It was management's idea." I told him, finally finding out what to call "Them".    I heard him let out a sigh of relief and I quickly looked up at him.

Why was he happy that me and Harry weren't really going out?

I shrugged it off and called Jess.

"Chick! Who are my phone calls going to? Why the hell haven't you been calling me??" I asked into the phone before she could say anything.

"I'm at my grandmother's in Hawaii! Remember? it's like fucking five a.m. Call me later!" She yelled at me.

"I'm sorry if I wanted to call my best friend to see why we weren't talking."

"Try thinking about time zones. Love ya, good... morning? I don't know. Bye."

I hung up and smiled since that had actually been the first call I had with Jess in like a week. i missed her even though I had a million other things to be thinking about.

"You're what!?!?" my friend Alissa asked me.

"I'm pretty sure I just told you." I said as I let my legs hang over the edge of Liam's bunk.

"This can't be! We have tried numerous times just to see Harry in person and now you're dating him? What the fu- fudge. What the fudge."

I laughed as she started to ramble on about how lucky I was. Honestly, I didn't see why i was that lucky. I mean, sure. Harry's cute and everything, but I was forced into a relationship with him. I don't even like arranged marriages  why would I like being forced to date someone. As I listened to Alissa's nonsense, Zayn walked past me, pushing my feet. I tried to sit up to say something, but i hit my head and quickly cursed to myself.

    "Crap! Screw you, Zayn."

He laughed to himself as he continued to walk to the back to the bus.  I was starting to get tired of all of this shit with Zayn. Like honestly. There is like a big cloud of sexual tension between us that it's gonna freaking choke me one day. Liam had walked back over to the bunk and pushed me over gently so he could lay next to me.

"What's wrong?" I asked. Alissa had already given up and decided to rant later.     "Nothing. Just tired." He said back to me, positioning his head over mine.   "Wanna talk about it? I'm tired to. We can be tired together." I offered.

He really did sound like something was wrong, even though he denied it. He snuggled up close to me, yawned and said, "Fine. Let's be tired together."

With that he fell asleep and I couldn't help but pass out along with him.
