Average girl

Amelia is an average girl. Average knowledge, average looks. But yet, she doesn't have many friends. She is sweet and caring and absolutely adores everybody. She tries her best not to judge the people she meets, and that is what got her in this situation. When a new student starts at the start of the school year, she is quick to jump head in on trying to make the person feel comfortable. Yet what happens when this new student is the bad boy Blake Harris? Does the magic sparkle or will they even be friends?

7. Shopping

Blake's Point of View:

I walked in there with one intention, and Crystal was the perfect distraction. Besides, she was too dumb to realize and try to stop me. I just couldn't handle taking Penny to primary school in one more worn out shirt with holes in it. I never wanted all of this for her, so even when I considered leaving, I stayed for her. She's only 7, and clearly doesn't deserve all of this.

Crystal walked around, handing me clothes and other stuff for her to try on. After about 15 minutes, she grabbed the clothes from my hands and walks into the changing room.
"You seem so distracted today babe. What's up?"
I stared straight ahead and mumbled something about just being tired and a bit under the weather. She didn't answer so I made my way over to the kids’ section. I grabbed a shirt or two and stuffed it under my jacket quickly.
"So this is your thing? Stealing?"
Please let it not be her. I looked to my left and there she was. Amelia
"I don't know what you mean?"
"I saw you dammit, I can see it sticking out under your jacket! Does this get you off? Is this part of your 'I'm above you all' - image?"
She was starting to turn red. I took a step towards her and tried to make her calm down and stop speaking so loudly. It clearly wasn't working.
"This is wrong; you know that right? Or do you just not care?"
"Shut up Aly, you don't know me. You're just this average girl, walking around afraid of living, blending into the walls. No wonder you have to sit with your group of nerds. They make you feel better about yourself, don't they?" I regretted the words as soon as they had left my mouth.
"Don't tell me what to do" I mumbled. She looked away for a minute, looking hurt.
"You know what? You are so fucking arrogant! Go fuck yourself..." Just then Crystal's shrill voice rang from one of the dressing rooms.
"BLAKEY! BLAKEY?! Where are you babe? Is this bathing suit too much?" Both Amelia and I looked towards her, and there she was in this skimpy, slutty bathing suit that barely covered any part of her body.
"Ehmm." I scratched my neck. Amelia turned on her heal and stormed off.

What just happened? I kind of thought we had a moment last week, and now she seemed so angry at me. And for what? Stealing a shirt? She doesn't even know me or my life, she just made assumptions and got mad. Maybe she's just crazy, bat shit crazy. I can't believe I actually considered what my life would be like with her in it.
I dropped Crystal off at her place and continued my way home, trying not to think about Aly but failing miserably.
I walked in at my mom's place only to find Penny, still in her nighties from this morning, watching TV.
"Hi Pea, what are you doing in your pajamas?" I sat down next to her, and let her slip onto my lap.
"Mom said she was going shopping."
"But it's seven o'clock?"
"She woke me up and said she had to go shopping, we didn't have any milk." Not this again, I thought to myself.
"Let me make you some dinner then. Oh and by the way, what do you think about this?" I held out the shirts from under my jacked and watched Penny as she grabbed the shirts and let out a high note. Like only kids can.
