She thought Liam was just a normal guy, but soon Skie realizes she is deeply in love with Liam. Her father, however, does not approve of his daughters choice. What happens when the love you have for someone is forbidden?

10. Luke

I stared at her small blue shirt for a while before I snapped out of it. I have to see her. I run up the stairs to find my shoes. As I come running back down  I notice Harry standing there.

"Where are you going?" He asks.

"I have to see Skie" I say openeing the door.

"Wait!" Harry calls as I reach the end of the porch. He walks up and puts a hand on my shoulder.

"Good luck mate" He says, a small smile on his face.

"Thanks Harry" I smile back. I could  hear Harry closing the door as I rush over to Skie's house. The usual brief five minute walk took me about a minute in my hurry. As I run up to her yard I can see her car driving away. Too far for me to chase after. My body collapses to my knees at the sight. I haad been to late. I watched as the girl I loved turned the corner, out of my life. The only thing I was able to do was pick myself up and walk back home. The heat hot on my back as I slowly walked home. I felt like I had a huge chunk chewed of my body.

Skie's P.O.V

Liam breaking up with me was the icing on the disaster cake that was my pathetic broken life. It was bad enough I had to move to a different country with my insane father. I sat in the back seat, not wanting to be inches from that man, staring out the window. All the houses and small shops that I had become so familiar with. Soon to be just a memory. I bit my lip fighting back the tears as we drove by the little diner Liam had first asked me out on a date. Maybe this was meant to be. I started to think off. Maybe I shouldn't resent my dad for this. I decided to break the long silence.

"Where in America are we living?" I asked softly. My dad looked at me through the rear view mirror at back at the road.

"New York" He spoke.

"Oh" I mouthed looking back out the window.

*Next Day*

The plane ride was long and tiring. It was my first time on an airplane and I was scared out of my mind. When I got off the plane anad turned my phone back on I had a text from Liam.

"Skie, mabye leaving you wasn't the best thing to do. I love you"

"I love you too Liam, but mabye it wasn't such a bad idea" I replied

By now me and my dad had been settling into our new spacy apartment. It had three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was really nice, actually. We had just finished un packing our boxes and furniture into the house. It took a few hours and HARD work but our apartment was pretty much finished. I layed on my cluttered bed. There were still some clothes I haden't put away yet. I heard a buzzing from my phone. Liam was calling.

"Liam-" I began, only to be interupted.

"Skie" It sounded like he had been crying, which only made me want to cry. "I love you"

"I love you too" I said.

"What are we going to do?"

"What can we do?" There was a long silence. "Liam?" I heard soft sniffling over the phone.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have left you. I should have helped, you'd porbably still be here" He began to cry.

"No. It's my fault. I should have never gotten my heart involved in this kind of mess" I spoke into the phone.

"Don't say that"

"Liam, I.." I trailed off, not knowing what to say, what was I supposed to say? "I have to go" I then hung up the phone and sat it on my bed side table. I stared at the floor as tears rolled down my face. I wish I could just wake up from this horrid dream.

*Next week*

The past week had been filled with hard work and moving things around. Me and my dad had managed to set up our apartment to our likings. I had been in America for about a week now, and felet extremly out of place. Whenever I'd speak to somebody they'd looked surprised, like they had never heard a British person talk before. Everyone asked me the same things. "Are you from England?" "Have you met Cher Lloyd?" It was quite insane to find out how many British sterotypes there were.

Today I had signed up for an avergae sized community college. My dad made me. The school seemed pretty decent. Nice teachers, fair people. New York wasn't as busy and crowded like telelvision made it out to be. Actually, where me and my dad lived, it was pretty much all trees and nature. Nothing like I was expecting. We lived in a nice, small town. It was pretty quite, I liked it. I haden't talked to Liam much, we decided it would be better off if we forgot about eachother. I wasn't moving back any time soon, and he wasn't going to wait on me forever. It hurt, but it was better off this way.

I was walking down the street, looking at all the small shops. I had fallen in love with American clothing, and the way they dressed. I decided hit a few shops before heading home.

It was a gloomy day, with a slight breeze. My favorite. The people here were so nice. I'd exchange smiled with a few people who happened to pass me by, when I had bumped into someone by accident. I guess I had not been paying attention. The bump caused my binder full of school work to fall all on the concrete.

"Sorry about that!" He said.

"It's quite alright" I spoke softly, beginning to kneel down and get my papers.

"Here let me get those" He offered.

"Thank you" I said awkwardly watchiing him pick up my papers. He was tall, brown hair, blue eyes. The shirt he was wearing caused his muscles to poke out from the sleeves as he picked up my papers.

"Here you go" He said handing me my papers, showing off his piercing smile.

"Thank you, I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention" I smiled.

"It's alright, you have a beautiful accent" He smirked. I shyly smiled, blushing.

"Thank you" I grinned.

"You go to Glendale?" He asked handing me one of my school forms.

"Yeah, I just signed up today" I replied.

"Cool, I do to. Maybe I'll see you around" He smiled.

"Maybe" I shyly smiled back.

"I'm Luke" He said holding out his hand.

"Skie" I replied shaking his hand.

"Well, see you around, hopfully." He smirked before walking away. I looked back, watching him walk away. He wore a blue shirt, with dark slim jeans. He dissapeared, turning a corner. I smiled and continued my way home.
