6. The Date

Eliza’s POV.

"Hey Eleanor." Harry's voice sounded from the door, his hand wrapped around the edge of it.

"Hey Harry! Come on in." She told him, moving to one side so he could enter. The minute he stepped foot in the room, my eyes locked with his as he took a sharp breath in.

"Eliza... Y-you look- wow." He stuttered, his cheeks flushing a light shade of pink. Did I just make Harry Styles blush? I blushed too, slowly getting off the couch to walk over to him.

"Thank you. You look quite dapper yourself." I chuckled lightly, the palms of my hands absentmindedly finding his. This looked awfully like something out of a movie. Harry was in a white v-neck, blazer, and dark jeans, holding both my hands in his as we kinda just stared at one another. A smirk crawled onto his lips as a grin took place of my embarrassed smile.

"Shall we go?" He asked, letting go of my hands to put his arm out in a hook.

"Indeed we shall." I giggled, looping our arms together.

“Alright you two! Don’t come home too late and Harry you better take care of my babygirl.” Eleanor warned, her finger pointed straight at his nose.

“Yes ma’am.” Harry answered quickly, a sense of fear washing over his features.

“Wow El, not even two days after getting married and you’re already acting like a mother. Well done.” I winked before dragging Harry out of there before she could continue on. The minute we were in the elevator I heard Harry let out a sigh of relief. “Your welcome.” I smirked, nudging his arm a little.

“Who says I was going to thank you?” I simply glared at him before turning around, pretending to be mad. “Oh come on Eli, you know I was only kidding!” He pleaded, pulling on my arm gently. I just shook my head, struggling to swallow down my laugh. “Eliza… Eli… Ellibear… Liza… Love… Sweetie… Gorgeous… Beautiful… Babe… Baby… Elizapoo-“

“Alright I get it!” I laughed turning around to face him, a smile prominent on my light pink lips. He just grinned lightly, wrapping his arms around my waist. I wrapped mine around his neck just as I spoke. “So where are we going?” I whispered, his lips inches away from mine.

“That’s a secret.” He chuckled, his minty breath tickling the insides of my mouth. I pouted a little before he slowly leaned down to peck my lips. His lips merely brushed against mine before the ding of the elevator sounded, snapping our eyes to the dozens of people who currently had their eyes set on staring at us… Awkward doesn’t begin to describe it.

Our cheeks were crimson as we hurriedly ran across the lobby and into Harry’s Audi that was parked conveniently in front of the doors. I released the breath I had held in as I quickly buckled up, Harry doing the same in a matter of seconds. Then before I could say ‘Taco Bell’ we were out on the main road, heading in a direction I’ve never been before. (No pun intended, though it is quite punny :3)

“Where are we going?” I whined, a little fidgety, as we continued to sit in the car. Although the car was still moving, I had a sense that it didn’t want us to get there. Grr. He just chuckled, his hand finding mine to intertwine them.

“Just a little longer love. Be patient.” He said calmly, his eyes flickering from the road, to my face, then immediately back to the road again. “I know you’ll love it.” He grinned, his dimples appearing, then disappearing as fast as they came.

It was around 5 minutes later when we finally arrived, and that’s when I realized Harry was right. I did love it. At this moment, we were both stood in front of one of London’s greatest landmarks. The London Eye. “Oh Harry…” I whispered, my hand instinctively going up to cover my mouth.

Worry flashed over his features as he stared at me flustered. “What? You don’t like it??” He asked frantically, his eyes gazing into mine. I shook my head quickly putting my hands onto his chest.

“No, Harry that’s not what I meant! I mean, it’s wonderful. Oh, thank you.” I sighed contently as I jumped onto him, hugging him tight. I heard him sigh in relief, mumbling a quiet ‘thank god’ before tugging on my hand to take me towards the huge site.

We were escorted into an empty capsule, the doors closing before anyone else could enter. That’s when I turned around and noticed the candle-lit table that sat perfectly in the center of the whole thing. My hand flew over mouth for the second time that hour as I stared in awe at the dinner Harry had set up.

“You’re amazing you know that?” I told Harry, my eyes wandering over to him where he stood, a cheeky grin on his perfect lips. And that’s exactly what he was- perfect.

“Thank you. Now, come here.” He opened his arms, and I skipped into them, taking in the feeling of his embrace. Oh how I’ve missed it so much. “Now, can I ask you something?” I nodded, my arms still wrapped comfortably around his neck. “May I have the honor and permission to kiss you? Because honestly, I’ve been dying to kiss you all day.”

I smiled sweetly before slowly leaning in, teasing him a little as I let my lips gently brush against his. He didn’t even give me a chance to do it again before he pulls on my neck, swiftly bringing my lips onto his. I smile into the kiss and let my fingers play with the curls at the back of his neck. I pull away, realizing that the food was going to get cold if we didn’t start eating now. He agreed, walking over to my side of the table to pull my chair out for me.

“Hot and gentleman-like. Not bad.” I chuckled, sitting down as he pushed me in. He quickly went over to his side, swiftly slipping into the seat that faced me. “So, Mr. Styles, what are we having for dinner tonight then?” He only smiled before pulling the silver cover off the dish, revealing an appealing heap of spaghetti bolognese. I gasped a little before immediately digging in, Harry laughing a little at my eagerness.

“I’m hungry okay!” Was all I murmured before he joined me, stuffing mouthfuls of spaghetti in between his teeth.

It wasn’t long before we finished up, and the capsule had finally made it’s full round. “That was absolutely breathtaking Harry. Thank you.” I mumbled as we walked side by side, out arms securely around each others' waist as he led me back to the car.

“Anything for you.” He whispered pressing a kiss onto the top of my temple before I leaned up to kiss his lips. “Now don’t get too excited, but this night isn’t over yet.” He winked, seating me into the passenger seat then jogging over to the other side.

“We’re going to do something reckless.” Was all he said.

-

We were giggling and laughing uncontrollably as he pulled me into the next set of double black doors. He held his finger up to my lips as we sneaked stealthily to the front row. “Eep! It’s warm bodies!” I whisper-yelled to Harry as I tugged a little on his arm.

“I know babe, calm down.” He chuckled, kissing my cheek lightly. I blushed deeply, grateful for the dark surroundings. I’ll never get used to the fact that Harry will always be able to make me blush like some stupid schoolgirl. We watched for about a half hour before Harry promised to let me watch the whole movie another day and pulled me out of the cinema to go to the next one.

In this theatre, they were showing GI Joe: Retaliation. “HARRY IT’S CHANNING TATUM!” I whisper-yelled again, almost certain I was starting to annoy him. Instead though, he turned to me calmly, his lips turning upwards into a grin.

“I know right! Isn’t he just hot!?” He whisper-yelled back, winking and wiggling his eyebrows at me. I knew he was just doing that to tease me.

“Oh shut up.” I chuckled, turning my full attention back to the screen. I didn’t realize it, but eventually the movie ended and people started to pile out. We decided it’d be best we leave as quickly as possible, praying to god no one had caught us.

“HEY YOU TWO!” That was enough to get Harry and I sprinting out the exits. We were running so fast I was sure whoever that was hadn’t caught up to us. And I was right. Instead though, we heard a high pitched scream before a girl went flying right onto the road in front of us.

“OH MY GOSH HARRY CALL AN AMBULANCE!” I shrieked, bending down to check her pulse. Harry frantically went searching for his phone before finally dialing 911. “Sweetie, stay with me okay?” I said softly to her, laying her head in my lap. I didn’t know her but just seeing her like this, with no one around that she knew- I had to do something.

I took my cardigan off, pressing it against her head where a deep gash had caused her to loose a whole lot of blood. Putting pressure onto the wound, I thanked god for my decisions on taking up a summer medical seminar that taught us all about what to do in situations like this. I was so relieved.

Finally the sound of sirens neared before the white truck stopped just in front of us, a heap of men quickly running over to us where I was still holding my cardigan to her head. “We’ve got it from here miss.” The paramedic said politely as he carefully took the girl out from my arms and onto the gurney where they rolled her into the ambulance.

“I think we should go see if she’s okay.” I told Harry, my hand clutching fearfully to his. He nodded and tugged on my arm, pulling me into the car before driving off after the ambulance. It wasn't long before we arrived at the hospital, running into the emergency room and going straight to the front desk. "Excuse me, not too long ago a girl came in after a car accident? Do you know if she's okay?" The lady looked up at me skeptically before asking.

"And how do you know her?"

"We were there when it happened and we were the once who called the ambulance... I even held my cardigan onto her wound. Can I please know what's happened to her?" The nurse's expression softened before she sighed a little.

"Just wait in one of those chairs alright? Once the doctor comes out, I'll tell him to go straight to you." I smiled gratefully at her, thanking her before walking off with Harry to one of the chairs.

"Well tonight definitely took a turn in events..." He mumbled into my hair as I laid my head on his shoulder. I chuckled a little, not even bothering to smile. "You did good baby. I'm sure she's fine." He assured me, rubbing my arm comfortingly.

"Does that mean I'm your girlfriend again? I mean, you're already calling me baby." I smiled, drawing circles onto the back of his right hand.

"Only if you want to be."

"Is that even a question?" His smiled brightened as he leaned down to kiss me, his left had still rubbing my arms soothingly.

"Um, excuse me, but are you the couple who discovered Miss Jensen after her car accident?" A man in a white coat approached us, a blank expression spread across his face. I immediately stood up, explaining to him the procedures I took to make the bleeding stop. "You're one smart girl, young lady. Without your initiative, Miss Jensen would have most definitely bled to death. Congratulations. You saved a life." He smiled, emotion suddenly filling his face.

"Would you mind if I saw her...?" Is asked cautiously, already knowing I had stepped my boundaries by talking to the doctor already.

"I'm afraid that's not possible dear. One, because she's currently in a self-induced coma; and two, her parents would be here any moment and I'm not too sure they'd be very keen on the idea of a stranger in the room of their daughter." He explained, looking straight at the two front doors. I nodded understandingly, taking a few breaths in. "But I assure you, I will make sure to tell her that the girlfriend of Harry Styles saved her life." He winked before walking off in the direction of the wards.

"You hear that? You've just saved a life." Harry whispered into my ear before intertwining our hands and leading me out of the hospital. "I was actually supposed to go take you to meet a friend of mine, but I'm not sure you'd still want to go after what just happened." I shook my head now, insisting that I didn't want to ruin his plans for tonight.

"Honestly, I wouldn't want your friend to be left waiting on an empty note after being told you were going to visit him. Come on, I'd really like to meet your friend." I smiled, climbing into the car. He just smiled brightly at me before starting up the car and pulling out of the parking lot. I wonder who this 'friend' of his was?

-

We stopped in front of a decent looking house. The windows were brightly lit as the bright blue door at the front swung wide open, a ginger-headed man standing comfortable against the frame. "You took me to meet Ed Sheeran?!" I whisper-yelled to Harry as he took my hand, leading me up to the door.

"Like I said, we were meeting my friend." He winked before giving Ed a hug. "Hey Ed, this is who I was telling you about. Eliza, meet my buddy, Ed Sheeran." He introduced, stepping aside so I came into view.

"Holy shit it's ginger Jesus." I joked as we both chuckled, hugging. "It's nice to meet you Ed." I smiled as he lead us into his house.

"Oh it's a pleasure meeting you! I've heard an awful lot about you." He chuckled disappearing into the kitchen.

"Good things I hope!" I called out to him before sitting down next to Harry. "This is awesome. Thank you." I told him, placing a sweet kiss on his cheek. Soon enough, Ed came back through the doors bearing a plate of what looked like Oreo cheese cake. "Oh hot damn." I breathed as I stared at the cake.

"Did you make this yourself?" Harry asked, taking the plate from the Ed.

"Er yeah. When you told me you were coming over, I kinda just got baking." He chuckled, a light tint of pink washing over his cheek. "Why were you late anyway?"

"Oh, you see we were on the way back to the car, to drive here, when this girl got hit by a car. So Eliza ran over to her and, you know, tended to her wounds? I guess you could say that. When we took her to the hospital, the doctor told her if she hadn't stopped the bleeding from the poor girl's head, she wouldn't have made it." Harry explain, stuffing a forkful of cake in his mouth every now and then.

"Wow you must be like, a hero or something right?"

"Well, it's definitely going in the tabloids for tomorrow." I shrugged, a small smile tugging at my lips. "But I'd totally like to think so." I winked, eating up my piece of cake.

We spent the whole night talking and eating cake, and before we knew it, it was 12.

"Oh, damn time passes quickly. Sorry Ed, we're going to have to go. Thank you so much for the cake!" I said, giving him a hug before walking to the door to wait for Harry.

"Thanks Ed." Harry chuckled, giving him a hug too.

"No problem mate." He nodded, "She's a keeper." He whispered, although I don't suppose I was meant to hear that... So I just kept my mouth close and let the blush cover my cheek.

"Bye Ed!" We both yelled before pulling out of the driveway. I sighed in content as I leaned back into the seat, grabbing Harry's hand in the process.

“So I was supposed to ask you to be my girlfriend in a different way... I honestly didn’t think we’d end up in a hospital’s wiating room. So, I guess I’ll formally ask you again, now.” He grinned, then started to pull the car over. Once he stopped, he turned to me.

"You know I'd fall apart without you
I don't know how you do what you do
'Cause everything that don't make sense about me
Makes sense when I'm with you”

“Like everything that's green, girl, I need you
But it's more than one and one makes two
Put aside the math and the logic of it
You gotta know you're wanted too”

“Cause I wanna wrap you up
Wanna kiss your lips
I wanna make you feel wanted
And I wanna call you mine
Wanna hold your hand forever
And never let you forget it
Yeah, I, I wanna make you feel wanted”

“Anyone can tell you you're pretty, yeah
And you get that all the time, I know you do
But your beauty's deeper than the make-up
And I wanna show you what I see tonight...”

“When I wrap you up
When I kiss your lips.
I I wanna make you feel wanted
And I wanna call you mine
Wanna hold your hand forever
And never let you forget it
'Cause, baby, I, I wanna make you feel wanted”

“As good as you make me feel
I wanna make you feel better
Better than your fairy tales
Better than your best dreams
You're more than everything I need
You're all I ever wanted
All I ever wanted”

“And I just wanna wrap you up
Wanna kiss your lips
I wanna make you feel wanted
And I wanna call you mine
Wanna hold your hand forever
And never let you forget it
Yeah, I wanna make you feel wanted
Baby, I wanna make you feel wanted”

“You'll always be wanted"

I let the tears fall as I pulled him close, closing the gap between our lips.

"So, Eliza, will you be mine? Again...?" He whispered against my lips.

"Yes."
