Holding On

Rose, the word ponders around my crammed mind and all it ever picks out is the color red. Red, the color of love, anger, blood. My name is inexplainable. My life, was inexplainable, until I met him.

15. Overwhelming Emotions

"W-what?" I gasped. I only ever heard of the band once, but I didn't know Louis was associated with it. I knew my our neighbor, Jazzy, she was obsessed with them. I was only ever allowed to listen to music my father agreed on, such as heavy metal and rock.

Louis snorted. "Yea, I know, you don't know about us. It's cool I'm not insulted."

"Oh no! I'm sorry...I just don't know who One Direction really is besides a band...I've never heard any of your bands' songs before." I glanced at the ground, embarrassed. Louis just smiled brightly.

"Well then I think you should hear it!" Louis suddenly began to sing. It...it was beautiful.

"You can't go to bed, without a cup of tea...and maybe that's the reason that you talk in your sleep. And all those conversations are the secrets that I keep, though it makes no sense to me."

I giggled at the adorable lyrics. "What's that song called?" Before Louis could respond, another voice chimed in.

"I know you've never loved, the sound of your voice on tape. You never want, to know how much you weigh. You still have to squeeze into your jeans, but your perfect to me." My head darted to the door, and there stood a cheeky Harry, singing just as beautifully as Louis.

"W-wow...both of you are in One Direction?" I questioned, Harry just chuckled.

"Rose, everyone in this household is. Louis, Liam, Niall, Zayn, and I. You're living in One Direction's house." My eyes widened. Seriously? I'm going to be living with One Direction until who knows when?

"We thought we should tell you, because we're leaving for tour on Saturday." Louis added.

"What?! I can't go on tour with you guys...I'll do something wrong...I know it!" Why couldn't they tell me sooner so I could listen to their music or something?

"Don't be silly, you won't mess anything up." Harry said assuringly. I sighed loud.

"Well...it's not like I have a choice if I can go with you guys...so I'll start packing." I got up to go pack, but the thought hit me. All of my clothes are at my house, and I only have clothes good enough for a month.

"I-I don't have enough clothes! Looks like I can't go." I mentally high-fived myself for finding a great excuse.

"Not a problem, love, we'll take you shopping!" Louis exclaimed. Shit.

"No, you guys don't have to do that!" What now?

"Rose, listen. Now that you're under our roof it's our job to take care of you. If you need clothes, we're buying you clothes whether you like it or not." I glared at Harry.

"Sorry but I don't need you guys babysitting me." I got up and pushed by Harry  and made my way to the front door.

This was all way too much for me to take in. The boys don't even understand how much of a struggle this whole situation is, and now they just dump this huge boy "band thing" on me. I just need to clear my head.

I grabbed someones sweatshirt off the coat rack, and went outside. The thunder rattled my bones, but I didn't care, I just needed some alone time. Birds danced in circles while making their way into chipped birdhouses. I pulled the hood up, and nestled my hand into the sweatshirts pocket. I found myself relaxing on a park bench, and gazed up at the sky. Lightning cracked its way around the misty clouds.

"I guess not even the sky can hold in its feelings forever." And with that, it began to downpour.
