Holding On

Rose, the word ponders around my crammed mind and all it ever picks out is the color red. Red, the color of love, anger, blood. My name is inexplainable. My life, was inexplainable, until I met him.

10. Midnight Mysteries

I was infuriated at Niall's remark. I slammed the guest room door shut, sending a loud wave of worry circulating around the house. A knock sprouted at the door.

"Rose, Love? You alright?" The tone was sincere and calming. I couldn't tell if it was Liam or not, he didn't really talk much.

I released my clenched fists, and let out an exasperated sigh.

"I'm fine." I muttered, still grinding my teeth.

"Want to have a lil' chat with me?" Now I know it was Liam. He was the only one I haven't had a conversation with.

"I think I've had enough 'chatting' for one day." I mumbled, plopping my tired frame onto the purple wool sheets. I allowed my face to be absorbed into a Sleepy's pillow. I heard Liam say okay and walk away from my new room.

It was now 12:37 a.m. and everyone was deep in their hazy slumber, excluding one. I haven't waltzed out of my room since the "Liam Encounter." Whoever had the bedroom next to me, was snoring obnoxiously, making me unable to drop into an abyss of slumber.

My body flinched as an unexpected knock at the house door took me by surprise. Cautiously, I got up and drifted into the hallway quietly. I couldn't make out the figure through my window so I knocked on Harry's door.

"Harry!" I whispered, shaking him a bit. "Someone's at the door! I'm scared!" It wasn't too bright of an idea of me to go to the human vacuum, so I went to Louis instead.

After a minute of poking his delicate facial features, he awoke.

"The hell, Rose! I'm sleeping! What's wrong?" I quickly whispered what I previously spoke to Harry, and Louis immediately sat up in disbelief.

"At this hour?" He questioned. I just shrugged and walked behind him as he made his way out of the cologne-scented room. My head came in contact with several walls, since my eyesight was completely useless in this darkness.

"Hold onto me." Louis commanded, holding out his arm. I gracefully wrapped my arm around his as he guided me through the several corridors.

We arrived at his front door, where the pounding was still occurring.

"Stand back, I don't want you hurt." I obeyed and stood my distance from the glass door. Louis opened the door, and my mouth dropped.

"Give me my daughter, you shitty son of a bitch."
