A 1Derful Fantasy

Hey! This is going to be a 1D fairy tale. Minus all the magic. Hope you like it.

3. You're a Prince?

I took path that lead to the palace. It was a nice clear trail without too much brush to nip at my dress. The trees parted as I neared the end to reveal the brick castle. Every time I saw it, it took my breath away. The long glass windows, the garden, and the many well dressed men and women milling about.

Cautiously, I walked to the front gates. They were opened for everyone. And I hoped that the boy from the market would be there. He seemed nice even though he took my prized possession. I made my way through the large golden gates and up the way to the front doors. As I stepped in the threshold of the doors I admired the red rug leading down the hall. I followed the many people who were entering another set of doors. These ones were smaller, but not by much. I entered the corridor. It was huge. Three crystal chandeliers hung from the high ceiling. There were six throwns at the front of the room. One for King Simon and one for each of his five sons. Louis, Zayn, Liam, Niall, and Harry. I remembered when my mum would tell me the stories of how the king would take in the poor boys that tried to steal the food from the market and hide in the shadows as she carefully stitched together all sorts of garments.

"Isabel?" I heard a familiar voice call. Turning my head I saw Jenna in her red dress. I knew she would wear red because it was her favorite color. Her mask was gold and complemented her brown eyes perfectly. I strode over to her my dark gown flowing behind me. As I neared her she pulled me in for a hug. "You look amazing." She told me pulling away and studying  me.

"You do too." I told her as the trumpets rang through the air signalling that the king and princes were coming in the room. Jenna and I were in the front ow, closest to the throwns. I could point out each of the princes out easily. The one with the curly mop of hair was the youngest out of them all, Harry. Niall was the boy with blonde hair. Liam had closely cut hair. Zayn had the darker skin that went with his dark eyes and black hair. Louis was the boy that never stopped smiling. The head guard, Paul stood at the left of the six of the chairs. All of the crowded room bowed and curtsied politely. The five princes walked down into the people that had invaded their castle. Prince Harry stood in front of me. Staring down at me with his emerald eyes. He held his left hand out for me and I placed my right into it. With his free hand he fished out a small ring with a clear stone in it. He slipped it onto my middle finger without saying a single word. I looked up in astonishment. He had been the boy at the market.

"You're a prince?" I gasped.

"Yes. Is that a problem?" He cheekily grinned down at me. I blushed at the sight of him. His chestnut curls falling on his forehead, his green eyes lighting up the dim setting, and his strong muscles pulling me onto the dance floor.

"No." I told him as we started to waltz. His hand was on the small of my back and it was extremely close to my rump.

"I never got your name." He stated matter-of-factually. I couldn't help but giggle at his childish looks and dimpled cheeks.

"It's Isabel." I told him. "But some people call me Izzy." I only told him my embarrassing nickname because I wanted to hear it roll off of his tong in his deep, seductive voice.

"Izzy." Hearing it made my heart flutter. "What a beautiful name." He complimented.

"You're Prince Harry, right?" I asked making sure I had the five of them straight.

"That's me." I smiled. He was a nice lad. Part of me wanted him. I wanted him all for me. Only for me. But the other part of me wanted what was best for him. He needed a princess. Not some small peasant girl off of the streets. I could never give him what a princess could. I was a poor, starving girl with ratty hair and I was far from beautiful. He deserved someone who was the opposite of me. A rich and beautiful girl.
