26. Monopoly

Kailee's P.O.V

Once we arrived back at the dorm, Maria immediately ran over to the small cupboard in the corner of the room. She rummaged through it before pulling out a dusty box with the word 'Monopoly' written on it. I smiled. It was our favourite game.

"Sweet! Monopoly!" I exclaimed, taking the box from her hands and placing it on the table. The boys came back in after they had gone to put their bags in the bedroom. "Guys, we're playing monopoly" Maria said, walking over to Gale. He stroked her hair and she tip-toed up to kiss him. I smiled. They were so cute together.

"Awesome! I love monopoly!" Kian laughed, kneeling down beside me and helping set up the board. He smiled at me and I chuckled. Maria and Gale came and sat down next to us, laying out the duvets and pillows on the floor. Once Kian and I had finished setting up the board, we chose our pieces and began to play...

"No...no....please...!!" Kian shouted, trying to make the dice roll over with his 'magical powers'. He'd landed on the same place again, and this time was having to pay $500. I laughed hysterically and he jokingly hit me with a pillow.

"This is all your fault Kailee!" He laughed, as he handed me the money. I squeezed his cheeks and he stuck his bottom lip out, pretending to sulk. I copied his gesture and he laughed.

"Aww, I'm sorry babe" I said as I stacked up the money. Kian passed the dice to Gale. He rolled it and landed on one of Maria's properties. She burst out laughing as he let out a sigh.

"Seriously?" He questioned, glaring at Maria. She poked her tongue out and held out her hand.

"Pay up" She said, glaring back with an evil look on her face. Kian and I laughed.

After almost two hours of playing we decided to call it a day, judging on the fact that Maria's pile of money was three times the size of anyone else's. I had mysteriously had to pay Kian $8000 at some point in the game. Maria and Gale packed the game away as Kian and I layed all the duvets and pillows back on the beds.

Maria and I looked at eachother with the same thought in our minds - this had turned out the be the best summer ever...
