4. Make A Scene

"But I thought you didn't like him!" Eleanor said, sitting next to me at the lunch table, which was empty save for us. I shrugged.

"I thought I didn't. I thought I liked Liam, but I guess things change. But don't tell anyone, only you and Louis know." I looked up and widened my eyes at El as everyone headed over to the table. We ate and chatted, until I realised Niall wasn't here yet.

"Hey, where's that silly irishman?" I asked, catching Louis' attention. He shrugged, and then a grin spread over his face. He nodded over my shoulder, and I saw smiles on the faces of everyone else on the other side of the table. What...? I turned around and my jaw dropped open.

Niall was standing behind me with a poster board on and a snapback on his head. There was a sprig of mistletoe hanging off the visor of his hat, and the board had red and green lettering. WILL YOU GO TO WINTER FORMAL WITH ME DAISY? The board said. Underneath that, in slightly smaller writing, it read, 'also here's some candy cos you're a nice person and that's what a lot of people like is candy.' I snorted and got up, giving Niall a hug and taking the Jammy Dodger off of the board.

"Of course I'll go to Winter Formal with you, Ni." I said, laughing and tossing the candy bar on my tray. Niall grinned at me and looked up at the mistletoe on his hat.

"Ahem, Daisy. I think you missed something." He said, a cheeky smile on his lips. I giggled and gave Niall and kiss on the cheek, then plucked the mistletoe off and stuck it in his pocket.

"Not too fast, hotshot." I teased, plopping back down in my seat. Niall joined us at the table, and we resumed all conversation. I felt a foot hit me under the table, and I looked up at Eleanor, who was grinning like a nutter.

And let the fun begin.
