6. Kiss Me

The lights were flicking off  and decorations were being taken down, but Niall and I just stayed, seated on the bleachers, knees touching, and laughing about... well I'm not sure what we were laughing about.

"Maybe we should go." I said, knowing neither of us was really ready to go back to Louis'. We had taken the limited number of pictures we could at the entrance and danced through every song, barely speaking to anyone all night. It was perfect.

"Looks like it." Niall said, getting to his feet and holding his hand out to me. I took it and he helped me up, but instead of letting go, Niall held my hand all the way out to his car, only letting go to hold the door for me,

We drove in a peaceful silence the two blocks to Louis' house, where there was a multitude of cars out front. We walked in a few minutes after eleven, turning every head and bringing silence upon the room. "Took you two long enough!" Louis broke the silence, sending a laugh through the room. Everyone was in their pajamas and the girls were sitting around, braiding eachother's hair. Even Harry was here, his curls being braded by one of Louis' sisters.

"I'm getting changed." I grabbed my bag off of the floor and kicked my heels off, jogging up the stairs to put on my pajamas. I hated having to take my hair down after I had worked so hard and looked so good. I pulled my dress and tights off, stepping into my baggy sweats and tight BROOKS shirt. I folded my things and put them back in my bag, which I left in the bathroom with Eleanor and the rest of the girls'.

"That was speedy!" Eleanor giggled, patting the seat in front of her. I plopped down and she braided my hair while the guys finished their game of Texas Hold Em.

"Let's play Catch Phrase!" Jade said, pulling a box off of the coffee table. I sat up straighter and winced, my actions had made Eleanor pull my hair.

"Yes! I love that game!" I grabbed the box and opened it, shouting instructions at everyone. We had too many people to sit in a circle, so we paired up with our dates and decided teams. I skipped over to Niall, who was on the arm chair. I sat on the arm of the couch, but two arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me onto his lap. I giggled and leaned my head against his chest, stifling a yawn.

"This way we can both see the word." Niall said. Suddenly, a hat plopped down on my head. Niall and I both looked around at Eleanor, who was giggling. She had put the snapback with the mistletoe over my head. I giggled through my yawn and turned it around so the mistletoe was heaging backwards.

"Aw, why'd you do that!" Jade pouted.

"Cos you can kiss my ass." I responded, and everyone laughed. I pulled the hat off and tossed it over onto the other couch where mostly everyone else was, except for Zayn, Perrie, Jade, and Liam, who were on the love seat.

I leaned my head back on Niall's chest and he rested his chin on the top of my head. We contributed when it was our team we had to guess, and finally the card came to us.

I blushed and glanced around the room, struggling to find an idea. Suddenly, Niall nodded at our group and said, "What I'm about to do." Then his kissed my cheek lightly and nodded at our group. "I just blanket Daisy."

"Kiss!" Perrie squealed, and I tossed the card to Liam just as the buzzer went off. I tried to hide my blush from everyone, but they were sort of over it already. Weird. I sat through the rest of the game, feeling Niall's throat vibrate each time he guessed and answer, and only participating when we were the ones describing the word.

"Let's pop in a movie." Eleanor suggested when we had packed up the game. Perrie and Leigh Anne had both already fallen asleep, and Zayn and Harry were busy tucking them into their sleeping bags on the floor. Everyone but Eleanor and Louis settled into their sleeping bags, while they and Liam stayed on the two couches. I would... but I'm lazy. I snuggled up to Niall and pressed my head to his armpit, yawning longer and deeper than before.

Niall's arm wrapped around my shoulders and he pulled me closer to him, resting his chin on my head again. I tried to keep my eyes open and watch all of She's The Man, but my eyelids kept fluttering shut.

"There's no way he hasn't asked her yet. I mean, look at them." I heard Louis say off in the distance. I burried my head deeper into the warm place my face was, what felt like someone's arm. The voice went silent a second and then sighed in relief.

"They're so cute!" Whisper-squealed Perrie. I squeezed my eyes shut. What was happening? It was like I was in a dream, but I was awake, and everyone was talking really far away.

"They are pretty cute." Liam. I snuggled up closer to the warmth, smiling. I was happy. But confused. Where were my friends, where was I.

"Just finish with breakfast, they'll wake when they wake." Jesy's voice said, and I felt like my friends were gone, left somewhere else. Colour started to appear in my eyes, and everything was pitch black instead of a hazy white. I yawned and snuggled up, curling my toes.

There was a movement from whatever it was I was cuddling with, and I peeked open one eye to see what it was. My eye met another eye that was peeking open to see what they were cuddling with too.

"Morning, love." Niall said in his groggy Irish morning voice. His super-sexy Irish morning voice. I smiled and held in another yawn, then stretched my arms over my head.

"Morning, Niall." I replied, sitting up. I was curled up on Niall's legs, my face had been buried in the fold of his shirt over his chest. I had fallen asleep to his heart beat.

"Looks like we fell asleep on the couch. I woulda moved you into your sleeping bag, but I fell asleep too." Niall smiled at me, stretching his arms over his head. I shrugged, struggling to keep my eyes open. The light was blinding.

"Breakfast, you two!" Jesy said, peeking her head into the living room. I grinned at her and got up to my feet, stretching my legs a bit before following Niall to the kitchen.

"Pancakes, we've got toppings too." Louis said, handing Niall a plate with four and me a plate of two. I smiled and sat down on a stool just as Niall was sitting down, too. We laughed and Niall shoved me off, hopping on himself.

"Hey!" I protested, elbowing Niall as I climbed onto his lap and wriggled around. Everyone chuckled lightly. Niall huffed and reached his arm around me, spearing a piece of pancake with his fork. His other arm wrapped around my waist while he cuddled up to me. I tried to calm my heart rate because I knew he could feel it... but it was hard not to get nervous.

I smacked Niall's fork away with my fork and tried to get to my plate of pancakes, spearing a piece of strawberry on the end and a small piece of pancake. I was reaching up to put the forkful into my mouth, when suddenly Niall's head was in front of mine and my food was in his mouth.

"NIALL!" I shouted, elbowing him hard in the ribs and grabbing a bite of his pancakes. Perrie snorted and some milk sprayed out of her nose while she laughed at us. After a few shouts, some gross noises nad coughing from Perrie, as well as some squeels from Eleanor, I slid inconspicuously off of Niall's lap and took the stairs two at a time. I grabbed my bag from the floor and turned to leave the bathroom.

"Jesssuuusssss." I hissed, running straight into Louis.

"Mornin'!" Louis joked, grinning at me. He still managed to be totally handsome at ten in the morning. Jerk.

"Morning to you as well, Louis. I'm going to pop off to my house for a shower, I can bring all the girls to shower at my house, and the boys can clean up here if that makes things easier." I suggested. Louis nodded slowly.

"I was thinking, since it's the first day of the holiday and all, we could go to the Winter Fair in London? There's a ferris wheel and a carousel and such, it could be really fun." Louis leaned against the wall and tucked his hands away in his pockets.

"That would be so fun! What other rides have they got?" I decided it wouldn't hurt to touch up, and I fixed my hair and makeup while I spoke to Louis.

"One of those dumb love rides, and a roller coaster and some carnival games. Not a tonne, but it sounds like a good time. Besides, it'll be a good time for Niall to try and ask you out."

"What?!" I stabbed myself in the eye with my eyeliner and pressed a hand to my face, staring at Louis. What was he talking about?! Niall was beyond not interested in me.

"Get off your high horse, Daisy. It's pretty obvious." Louis chortled, raising his eyebrows at me. I grabbed some toilet roll and wiped the tears off my face, calming my shaking hand before trying again.

"I'm not on any horse, Louis. Niall isn't interested in me, and there's nothing going on between us. If there was... he would have done something by now."

"Daisy, please. You two had all that... whatever before Harry and Liam interfered, and you two kissed after you got in that big fight, plus you cuddle and hold hands and go to dances and almost-kiss all the time... it's clear there's something there. Unless you're just playing him?" Louis stared at my face in the mirror, his eyes... almost asking me a question. A question that I had an answer to and I wasn't sure I was ready to say out loud.

I glanced down the hall and then pulled the bathroom door shut, sighing before addressing a skeptical Louis.

"I like him, alright? I know that's what you're getting at. But it's not going to happen. All of that was in the past, he's not interested anymore, and we're just that kind of friends who cuddle and whatever... We're not dating. He's not going to try anything, no matter how much I want him to."

"What if you just tell him you want him to? And I already knew you liked Niall... remember that little chat we had? That plan you chickened out on after your huge fight?" Louis scooted his butt up onto the counter and sat there, leaning against the mirror.

"Righhhhtttttt. But... it's too far. I can't do it." I covered my face, avoiding Lou's eyes.

"Yes, you can. You need ten seconds of confidence, to say whatever you want. And voih-la, you have Niall in the palm of your hand. Please excuse how dirty that sounded and, well, you get the picture." Louis chuckled to himself and I found myself giggling a little. Oh, Louis.

"We'll see... We'll see."
